Legacy Of Forgotten Times 198 Kallipos' Fury

Linri frowned when he noticed bullets falling down one by one. It seemed like normal bullets weren't going to cut it. He took out the magazine but didn't put in a new one then he pulled the trigger.

*Bang**Bang**Bang**Bang*

The muzzles of his guns kept giving an azure blue flash all of them hitting Leon's barrier. However, these bullets were not able to pierce the s.h.i.+eld as well. He was perplexed. Shouldn't water conduct lightning? Then how was it able to stop his bullets?

"Hahahaha, from this moment on you will never be able to touch me! You thought you would be able to hit me with lightning? Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. I admit, that science thing is quite interesting. Especially the thing they called Pure Water" said Leon after giving his cliché villain laugh.

"Pure water?" Linri asked curiously. I mean Leon played the evil enemy role quite well. So if he were to ask there was a 99% chance that he would explain what it was.

"It is water without any minerals in it. Unlike normal water, it doesn't conduct electricity. Quite the opposite, in fact, it isolates the electricity" Rina explained. Since she was a lightning mage she was informed on the subject.

Linri did not expect her to explain what it was but nonetheless, he got the answer he wanted. Since they could not let electricity pa.s.s through it there was only a single option left. He looked towards Yui and she was looking at him as well. Linri nodded at her. Then the [Inferno Cage] surrounding Leon disappeared.

[Icy Breath]

[Azure Flame Bullet] X 10

Linri's bullets. .h.i.t Leon's golden water s.h.i.+eld. Each bullet freezing the area it hit. Then Yui's [Icy Breath] reached the barrier and freezing the remaining part. Since their attacks could not pa.s.s through it the only other option they had was to completely freeze it!

Seeing the barrier frozen solid Linri threw his guns up into the air and two hands made out of azure flames grabbed them. Then he quickly grabbed wox from his breast pocket and threw it towards the back in one quick motion. The little animal was not ready for it and rolled on the ground however it was not hurt.

Rondo dashed towards Leon with a golden sword in hand. Fosse was just behind him. They both attacked the now frozen barrier. Kou and Rina were not sitting still either. They accurately shot their skills towards the part where they attacked to hit Leon.

[Tidal Wave]

The moment they broke the ice, golden water started to gush out of it. Suddenly the whole hallway was washed by this golden water sweeping everyone away.

"Didn't you hear me? You can't put a scratch on this divine body from now on" Leon said smugly looking at them drowning in the water he created.

*RIP*

Leon looked at the azure blue sword that was popping out of his chest. Ice started to spread through his chest and he coughed up blood.

"Really? How stupid are ya? Didn't they teach you how to count?" Linri whispered into Leon's ear.

All the blood was drained from his face. How? How was he suddenly behind him? Then he saw the flying guns in front of him start to shoot again.

[Golden Barrier]

The barrier appeared on Leon again pus.h.i.+ng Linri away. Knowing that he could not fight it Linri decided to let go of his sword stuck in Leon's chest. The bullets. .h.i.t Leon's new barrier freezing a portion of it.

Leon's hold on the tidal wave was gone and the golden water started to recede. The others got up from the ground while coughing out water.

"You! How dare-" Leon was furious! He was about to speak when Linri cut him short.

"Bla bla bla how dare you hurt me bla bla bla. Dude less talking and more fighting" said Linri as he created another sword.

At that point instead of thinking about how to attack Leon, he was thinking where could he find a good sword method. Even though he was a firm advocate of guns being superior to any other weapon it would be a huge waste if he didn't fight up close with the attributes his body possessed. Granted he leaned more on speed and agility rather than endurance and strength so he needed to find a way to complement it.

What other weapon could be more suited to that fighting style other than short swords? Sure daggers could also be good but they did not have enough reach. As for the two handed swords they were too heavy.

As Linri was distracted Leon unleashed another skill. When was he going to learn not to look down on his opponents and stop his thoughts from wandering? Probably not soon that was for sure.

[Kallipos' Fury]!

All the water in the hallway started to levitate around Leon as tiny raindrops. Then all of them started to move at [4x Extreme Speed] and lacerate everyone.

Oh My G.o.d!

Linri created an armour of azure flames around himself to absorb some of the blow but the golden raindrops cut through it like b.u.t.ter! Seeing the situation was hopeless Linri also did the same for the others to at least keep them alive.

Right now he could not think any way to stop this and there was nothing in his abilities that ould stop it.

[Snow Field]

Linri's quick thinking helped Yui. She already had high endurance thanks to her s.h.i.+eld and giving her an armour was akin to give wings to a tiger! Using this opportunity to catch her breath she quickly used her skills to freeze Leon's golden raindrops.

As Linri felt the cold air surrounding him, he guessed that Yui must have done something and stopped protecting his face with his arms. All of Leon's raindrops had become slower and some of them had even turned to ice. 

Phew, that was a crisis averted but what now? Linri looked towards Leon who still had a sword sticking out of his chest. His body was mostly frozen due to being constantly hit by [Icy Breath]. His speed and agility should have dropped below average by now.
