"So you can leave whenever you want after you lecherously looked at me! I, Fei Yun never felt so..."
Before she can finish her sentence, Jiang Chen closed the door of his house. Fei Yun's voice slowly died out as Jiang Chen closed the door of the cultivation room. Jiang Chen never really was good at talking with girls even though he placed 3rd in the school handsome rankings. He never had a girlfriend nor interacted with girls that much. In cla.s.s, Jiang Chen was not someone who stood out as a person who had good grades even if he places 1st in the end-of-grade tests. Jiang Chen never really liked the feeling of standing out or showing off too much. Jiang Chen reached inside of his robe and pulled out the core he received at the distribution.
[Body-Tempering Demonic Core - Flaws: Demon Beast Was Slain Too Slowly. Damaged. Has No Major Benefit To Qi-Gathering Martial Artists.]
Jiang Chen started meditating with the core in his hands and the light in the core slowly faded away.
"If I had the Book Of Alchemy, I could have made a pill out of this core. What a waste."
Days slowly pa.s.sed by as Fei Yun was still waiting at the entrance of Jiang Chen's home waiting for a chance to get back at Jiang Chen. Seeing that he didn't come out for a long time, she went away.
"Hmph, I don't think that you can set your lecherous eyes on me and get away with that. The next time I see you in the sect, I will castrate you personally!"
Jiang Chen just was about to open the front door until he heard what Fei Yun shouted and quickly stopped his action. Jiang Chen got a small improvement in his cultivation during his time in the cultivation room with the core however he didn't really care about the one single core since, during his time in the forest, he killed a bunch of Body-Tempering demon beasts along with their cores.
"What a violent girl. Getting that worked up from an encounter with someone. Did I kill her mother or something?"
Jiang Chen opened the door when he saw that Fei Yun was gone and walked toward the school within the sect. Sects offer disciples cla.s.ses in order for them to gain enlightenment on their skill. Teachers and elders of the school are the ones teaching the cla.s.ses. Cla.s.ses that elders are teaching are harder to get into that a regular cla.s.s since they give a higher chance of a breakthrough or enlightenment. Jiang Chen was looking at the courses on the billboard such as pill refining, cultivation, martial art training, etc.
"Tai Yang!"
Jiang Chen slowly walked away from the board to the registration.
"Dammit, Tai Yang, I know you can hear me! Were you isolated this long that you forgot about me?!"
Jiang Chen turned around…
What Jiang Chen saw was a girl with a long sword at her waist. Her hair danced with the winds leaving an image that was nearly perfect. Her body can be said to be a gift from G.o.d and was proportional in every ratio.
"You finally noticed me! Tai Yang, aren't you banished to the outskirts of Yang Forest for 6 months? Did you want to anger the elders?!"
Being taught back on Earth to not talk to strangers that easily, Jiang Chen tried to ignore her to the best of his ability. He, also, heard about people who try to befriend a person just so they can scam them in the end and take all the valuables. Jiang Chen deployed a tactic that he was taught in a school program to get rid of these kinds of people.
"Who are you?"
Jiang Chen let out a simple question and the girl was taken aback. Her body trembled and the surrounding air felt as if it went down a couple of degrees.
"How could you not even remember you own dear cousin, Tai Meng? We used to play with each other when we were young. Did you also forget the time when used to go take a bath together?"
"Sorry, I don't know you. Please excuse me."
Jiang Chen turned around and resumed walking away. Tai Meng clenched her hand and thought in her mind.
"So all the time you been isolated, you actually forgot how frightening your cousin is."
Jiang Chen knew that he didn't inherit the original host of this body's memories, unlike most transmigration stories do. Jiang Chen knew he had to keep his distance from anyone that knew the old host of the body to avoid being caught. Jiang Chen registered for Cultivation and Body-Tempering Cla.s.ses for the afternoon. Since he had time before the cla.s.s, Jiang Chen went to a nearby store to look at the goods. Having the system along with him allowed Jiang Chen to see all of the flaws of an object. Jiang Chen picked up the items just like what he did with the books back in the skill hall.
[Resonating Blade (Broken) - Used for killing people. Flaws: Broken]
[Trans.m.u.tation Table (Broken) - Used To Trans.m.u.te Items. Flaws: Broken. Not Stable]
[Life Amulet (Low Human) - Heals User After A Certain Amount Of Time. Flaws: Heals User's Wound By 0.0005%]
Jiang Chen saw something out of the corner of his eyes and went up to it. The description under it said that it is a 3 piece set of flying dagger capable of traveling at high speeds depending on the user's cultivation. Jiang Chen didn't know what flaws it had since it was surrounded by a piece of gla.s.s and he couldn't touch the daggers.
"Shopkeeper, how much is it for these daggers here?"
"Ahh, young master has keen eyes. These flying daggers were forged using volcanic rocks submerged in holy water for 7 days. This was forged by the famous Master Rou when he was back when he was an apprentice. These daggers will cost you 200 gold coins."
Jiang Chen didn't have enough coins and he couldn't get any quickly either so he left. He went back to the cla.s.s for the afternoon and sat down. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the girl this morning proclaiming to be his cousin. She was staring at him with an angry look. It wasn't before long before the teacher walking into the room which announced the start of the cla.s.s.
