Being The Carefree Empress 5 Offers

After almost a day of traveling, we reached a new town. Comparing from the previous town I was in this is more grand and lively, maybe because this is near to the capital where the Imperial Palace is in. Despite the sun have already set, there are still light all over and people going around places.

"Ladies, we have booked you all a room an Inn, it is in the right side of the town fifty steps from here, name Osteria Inn. We will get your luggages set and for the mean time, you can stroll around places. " Said by the Envoy. The three girls whom I am with is not really paying attention as they are already mesmerized to the place we are in. While the other two ladies from the prestigious clans hasn't even departed their own carriages. Maybe this is not their liking. Oh well, not like I care.

"I'll have some servant fetch you when it is time. So enjoy for tonight, excuse us."Then they left. Joie and Effreila pulled me quickly while Resitaire is in the front leading the way.

"I am so excited! This is my first time out of town! I want to explore so many things so we must haste!" I was quite taken aback because I thought I'll be hearing those words from Joie, but I am hearing it now from Resitaire.

" I actually been here before, but it's still good to be out without guards around us." Said Joie smiling and I looked at Effreila, she's a bit nervous but still excitement can be seen in her eyes.

Oh this kids..

We went to a lot of shops. We first went to a bookstore, as Resitaire requested, there she's seems to be really in her heaven. Thus she bought a lot of books. The prices... astonished me. I did the math and I just can't... I also did buy some books but mostly are general knowledge about this world and some are just things I thought might be interesting to read. Effreila and Joie just bought some romance books. Afterall, they are girls and they are young.

The next shop we went to, without counting the shops we pa.s.sed by as we proceed to Effreila's request shop which is a herb store. Joie told me that Effreila's family is from a family of Medical Pract.i.tioner. So Effreila have the habit of buying herbs and medecine incase of emergency. Weird yet a really practical habit if you asked me.

Then after buying some clothes, which is requested by Joie. And by some clothes I mean a lot, where they dressed me up and bought those for me, we went to a restaurant to eat. It was a bit cla.s.sy place. When we entered, an old man welcomed us and Joie requested for us to be taken to the second floor. Which made the old man delighted, I figured out why because the second floor seems a bit more fancier than the first floor. Which I presume that it is more expensive. Maybe it is the same for the third floor, tho I don't really care much because I am starving. Except for the buns and sandwiches that they gave me on the carriage, this is the first time I am eating a proper food eversince waking up from this world.

Joie and Effreila took charge in choosing the foods. While Resitaire is showing me the books she got. It was educational and profound books. I can tell that if we are in the 21st century, Resitaire could also be one of geniuses in academics. I somehow understand their language because of Previous Reen's memory and it is definitely that Reen is literate and also a genius person.

"I'm amazed, Reen! You're just as smart as my brother! This is wonderful!" Resitaire said. I just smiled. We quiet down a bit as Joie is giving the order to the waiter. After that we began chatting.

"So how was it, Reen? Did you have fun?" Joie asked. I nodded and smiled.

" I did. This is the most fun I have in my whole life. I thank you guys." I smiled. Then again they looked at me then tears began forming in their eyes.

"Uwahhh! Reen! We're glad that you have fun!" Effreila said and hugged me.

"We're worried that you won't have fun." Said Resitaire wiping her tears.

"You should just definitely come with us. Don't go to the palace, you'll just suffer there!" Joie said and held my hands. I looked around and saw that many eyes are starting to look at us.

"Hey.. hush girls. I am fine. I'm fine. So you guys were worrying about me. But I am fine, I am strong. If I am not selected, then I'll just try to be a maid so that----" then Resitaire interrupted me.

"No! You're a smart person, even more so than my brother that's for sure! You should just marry him! Even if you're not the main wife, I'll see to it you'll live comfortably!" Said Resitaire seemingly drunk. Then I looked at our table and saw a pot... is this alcohol? When did they drink that??

"I-if we're planning to get R-reen married, then she can marry my older brother! H-he's single and kind... he's great with medicine so you won't get sick.." Effreila said, also drunk. What the heck? Why did I not noticed them drinking alcohol? They're still kids for G.o.dsake!

"Hahaha! My brother is still better! He- He's a warrior and have a reputation. Soon he'll climbed up to the ranks. So marrying him would be much better! He's strong so yeah he can protect you." Joie said and is about to drink another cup. I swiftly took it off her hands and stand up to straighten them up in their sit.

"You girls have enough. Just wait here, I'll call the waiter to prepare some tea.."

How can I be so careless. I made this girls drink. I just hope that no trouble comes around until the servants come.

"Hey.. Ladies. You four seems to be unaccompanied by gentlemen, care to share the table?"
