Whole Guinevere Hotel owned by the CEO Briggs was exclusively used and didn't receive any guests a week before this event.
Everyone's busy preparing for this big event. From the companies' employees to renowned celebrities and businessmen were all present in this event. Only a few reporters were allowed to cover the said event while others only waited outside the hotel. Tight security was given importance.
This event has been the talk of the town for the whole month updating every now and then about the preparation.
"Tonight, we will witness this year's grandest and most awaited event. The news tagged this event as 'the Brigg's only prince'. Will there be a princess for tonight? This event is indeed fit for royals, as you can see; the guests were the most important figures here and abroad." The reporter then paused looking at the coming limousine.
"The CEO has arrived, let's try to take an interview with him." The reporter hurriedly went to the CEO.
Clint Briggs emerged from a limousine wearing a black tuxedo, a beautiful middle aged woman also emerged from the limousine. She looks stunning in her black and white lace dress.
"Mr. CEO, could you introduce to us your lovely date, sir?"
"You will know her later, I'll have an announcement to make." Leaving them with a smile, the couple went inside the hotel. Then another limousine arrived, it's the man of the hour, Clifford Briggs.
He looked das.h.i.+ng in his Burgundy slim fit tuxedo with peak lapel and black pants and the ladies screamed upon seeing him. The man just walked on, while everyone was stunned and kept staring at him. They didn't have the chance to ask him some questions.
Another car arrived, a beautiful woman comes into view, wearing a salmon colored s.e.xy mermaid evening dress, a diamond earrings, one of the limited edition from Tiffany's dazzling on her ears. Her hair just flow silkily just above her shoulders. The photographers were all busy taking pictures of her. She walked past the reporters and onlookers with exceeding confidence.
The hall was already filled with people and an upbeat music is currently playing, making some of the guests sway to the tune especially the younger generations. Ingrid looked for her seat when suddenly he b.u.mped into a man.
"I apologize for my clumsiness." She said slightly bowing her head.
"It's okay," she was about to leave when he said. "..by the way, I'm Lance McNaught," he gestured his hand towards her. Out of courtesy she replied and shook hands with him.
"Ingrid, Ingrid Howard." She stared at the man, he is handsome in form and appearance, displayed a charismatic aura and a gentle smile.
"Oh, you're Ingrid Howard, it's a pleasure meeting you at last!" she was confused with his remark.
"..." she just shrugged and politely excused herself. The man smiled, his eyes still lingered on Ingrid's back. A waiter approached her and ushered her to her designated table, near the CEO's immediate family.
'At long last, I've found you...' Lance went out from the crowd and called someone.
"h.e.l.lo, I've found her. Yes, she looks lovely even more. Are you ready? Should I fetch you both? Okay, I'll just be here."
...
Clifford is becoming impatient as the time ticks, he keeps on fidgeting.
"What's wrong son?" his mother asked when she observed his son's uneasy demeanor.
"Ahh nothing."
"Are you waiting for someone?" her mother grinned.
"Why, no, of course not. Why'd you ask?" her mother let out a soft chuckle.
"You're my son, of course I know you." He just snorted.
All of a sudden, his eyes landed on a woman talking and shaking hands with a man. His eyes narrowed out of annoyance.
