Complex Romance 35 Party. Drunk. Sorry

Everyone was having fun, some were playing cards, others were playing mobile games together, and some were just chatting in groups.

John and a few boys were drinking beer as they were chatting, while Teresa was chatting with the girls in another group as they were playing board games. Bob gave Teresa a small bottle of wine which contained only 6% of alcohol. The reason was because Teresa liked that brand of wine.

However, she knew that her alcohol tolerance was low so she could not drink the whole bottle. She just drank about half the bottle and stopped drinking, but her face was already as red as a tomato, but again, she wasn't drunk.

Teresa decided to join Harry's group as they were sitting in a circle and chatting about their past memories. Out of the blue, someone pulled Teresa's coat. At that very moment everyone in the group was shocked, including Harry and Teresa herself, because that person was John.

John was drunk. He was mumbling something, but no one knew what. He clinged on Teresa's coat and did not want to let go. Teresa was terrified in seeing the drunken John. She quickly took off her coat and went to the opposite side of the circle. She hid behind Bob as he was the biggest size among everyone.

"John, what are you doing? Look at you, you are drunk." Said Harry to John as he was very angry.

"I'm not drunk!" John replied.

"Go into the room and rest for a while, clear up your mind." William said to John as he walked towards him to help him get into the room.

"Phone... phone... pa.s.s me my phone..." John mumbled.

They were so surprised to see what had just happened. The girls were a bit scared as they never saw a drunk person before. Teresa on the other hand just sat there in silence. She did not say anything as her mind was blank.

Buzz... buzz... buzz... Teresa's phone notification popped out.

She saw the text message, "I'm not drunk" From John.

"I'm really not drunk. My mind is clear."

"Don't be scared of me."

"I want to be together with you."

"I'm sorry for what I did before."

"I really love you..."

Teresa read all the messages but she did not know what to reply. She did not reply to him. She wanted to go home. She needed to calm down. Her mind was in a mess. Hence, she stood up and told her friends that she would be going home first.

"Are you walking back on yourself?" Asked one of her friends.

"Yup, I don't want to bother my parents since my house is not far from here." Teresa replied.

"Let's go, I will accompany you." Harry said as he stood up.

"Me too. I need to go out for a walk after sitting for so long." Said William as he followed Harry.

Teresa did not want to bother them, so she said, "There's no need, my house is very nearby. I can walk alone on my own."

"Teresa, don't be stubborn. Let them accompany you. It's dangerous for a girl to walk alone at night." Said one of her friends.

"Okay then, sorry for the trouble guys. Bye, see you guys next time." Teresa said as she left with Harry and William.

On her way back, Teresa did not say anything. Both Harry and William were worried about her.

Harry took the initiative to ask her, "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm perfectly fine." She replied.

"You don't look fine to me." Said William.

"Really, I'm fine. Don't worry. Ohh, just to let you know, just now John told me he won't be joining us for our trip."

"What!? When?" William asked.

"He told me just now before our party started."

"Ohh..." Replied William.

Soon, they reached her house, and bid her goodbye. After the party, Teresa, Harry and John, all had complicated feelings. Teresa felt helpless and she did not want to think about it anymore. Harry was worried about Teresa and angry towards John for his immature behaviour. While, John was sad as he got rejected and knew that it might be really impossible for Teresa to love him again.
