I leaped down the Ancient Divine Dragon without even bothering to check out my surroundings. I wasn't afraid that someone might be lying in ambush because mounting the Ancient Divine Dragon was way faster than mounting my Armored Ice Qilin Horse. The former took only 0.5 seconds to complete, while the latter took at least 1.5 seconds and thus was very risky to perform when in combat. Even better, summoning the Ancient Divine Dragon itself took less than a second to perform, and in the case my mount tenacity was emptied, it could be resummoned after just 5 minutes. High-rank mounts were OP like that.

I returned to the blacksmith, pushed the equipment in my bag into his hands and said, "Here you go. I want to exchange them all for refinement points, thank you!"

Very soon, the Purple Ying Sword attained enough refinement points to undergo the evolution. The action wasn't performed at the blacksmith's action screen, however. I needed to tap on the weapon itself to evolve it!

My finger s.h.i.+vered a bit as I pressed the b.u.t.ton. Immediately, a ray of light burst out of the Purple Ying Sword's blade and shot into the sky. Not only that, the ground began to shake to its motion as well. G.o.d d.a.m.n, I should've known that the evolution of a mortal weapon to a Divine Armament would be extraordinary!

I was overjoyed. I initially thought that it would evolve into a Cambrian divine weapon, but it skipped that tier outright and became an Ancient Divine Armament right away! Back in the day, wielded by divine kings, it was used to slay countless devils. Today, for an unknown reason, most of its power has been sealed away. Perhaps it can evolve into something stronger.

My saliva nearly dripped down my lips. This was without a doubt the first weapon in the history of Heavenblessed ever to exceed 10k Attack. Not only that, it was a Level 240 Ancient Divine Armament. Its Proficiency effect lowered the Level Requirement by 35 and allowed me to use it despite being at Level 207, and its lifesteal had grown from 15% to 20%. If the Purple Ying Sword already had 20% lifesteal when I was fighting at Final Duel Valley, I might have been able to perform better during the fight at the forest.

Another great thing about the evolution was that its Mountain Crush effect had been drastically improved. Previously, the weapon had a super-low—possibly less than a thousandth—chance to trigger its Mountain Crush effect. In fact, I didn't think it had triggered more than a handful of times since I came into possession of the weapon. Now though, its trigger chance had been upgraded to a whopping 5%, meaning that I could trigger it once every 20 swings or so. Even better, a.s.suming that it triggered at the same time I landed a critical hit, I could deal as much as 14 times more damage than normal! How crazy was that?

I happily equipped the Purple Ying Sword and felt its incredible power surge into my veins. A s.h.i.+ver later, I checked my stats again and noted that my Attack was much higher than before!

A player's total attack power grew proportionally to base Attack, so to say that my offensive power had grown by leaps and bounds would be an understatement. My Tactics had also broken the 1000 mark, meaning that my Ancient Seal would be so much more deadly than it used to be. I fully expected it to one-shot everything when it reached the limits of its growth!

I was so happy I could hop like mad. I held her small hands tighter, and we strolled through the forest just like the day she wanted to become a priest and set off on her first ever journey. It was at this moment a red name player rode up to us and dismounted. She stared at me in disbelief and said, "Unbelievable. Is there any time you aren't fooling around with girls?"

The newcomer was none other than Chaos Moon.

"What is it?"

"It's Daybreak City. The tier 2 main city is about to become another country's city very soon! Ah, it p.i.s.ses me off so much just thinking about it!"

"It's not that. Someone is trying to gift our city away!"
