Meeting Again 19 Sudden Call

"That-" I was about to answer Tanya when the loud ringtone of my cellphone interrupted it.

We both were startled and looked at the phone. It was an unknown number, I took it and excused myself. I went to the balcony and picked it up.

"h.e.l.lo?"

"Tony? Are you ok?"

It was Robbie's voice. What a fate! Tanya just asked me about my bonded Alpha and here he was calling me.

"Are you stalking me? How do you have my number?" I asked, flabbergasted

"From your Resume" Robbie answered in a matter-of-fact voice

s.h.i.+t! I always forget I am working under him. He has access to all my information. How infuriating!

"What do you want?" I asked suddenly feeling defeated

"I heard that you called the security. Did something happened?" Robbie asked. He sounded worried.

Was he really worrying for me or that I have put his Resort to trouble?

"My colleague was attacked by a guest, so I called the security. Don't worry! I haven't done anything to stain your Resort's name" I quickly clarified

This statement was followed by a silence. I actually looked at the phone to check if he had disconnected. After sometime he replied, in a little strained voice,

"As long as you are fine, I don't care about the Resort's name!"

I couldn't reply anything to that. His care was still hard for me to accept. Inspite of all my resistance, I was still finding myself melting at his words.

I Can't!!!

This is just bad omen. I have to think of Twen and be firm.

"I am fine. You don't need to worry" I answered, making my voice as tough as possible!

Again there was silence. Why was he going all silent all of a sudden? It felt like a premonition. He spoke again, so softly that I hard to strain my ears to hear,

"I am outside your house"

My cellphone almost dropped off my hand. Outside my house?!! What does he think he is doing appearing in front of people's house at odd times. He couldn't have chosen a worst timing. Tanya was sitting in my drawing area right now. I started panicking!

"I have a guest" is all that came out of my mouth.

"Who?" Robbie asked sounding unpleasantly surprised

"I am not obliged to answer you" I bristled

"If you don't I will break open your door!" Robbie bluntly answered

Say WHAT!!!

This is blatant Blackmail!!

"I ll call the cops" I tried to blackmail back but I can't help feeling that it would be useless. In this world Alpha rules and money talks. d.a.m.nit!

"Go ahead. If they come, I ll co-operate and let them know that your MY omega!"

Why does this guy know all my weakness?

I am hiding my sub gender in my work place. If it is revealed that am an Omega and on top of that, am bonded with this guy....it will be a field day for media!

Not only will I be front page news of Celebrity's daily, Twen would be dragged into it as well. That's the last thing I want!

"Tanya" I said, feeling bitter.

"What are you doing with her?" he asked in a curious tone

"None of your business! I am done answering. Goodnight" I said hanging up the phone.

My heart was beating so fast that I felt like it might jump out of my mouth. He was outside my house right now, what if he breaks in. Tanya will know the truth and she had loose lip. Aahhhh!! I feel dizzy!

I went to the room feeling jumpy. Tanya took a look at me and asked cautiously,

"Are you ok? You look...nervous" she said unsure

"I-I am fine. How are you? Have you calmed down?" I asked trying to relax myself, hoping against hope that Robbie had left

"Yes" Tanya answered sheepishly, "Sorry! I almost got you in trouble as well"

I smiled. She is such a worrywart. She almost went through something so terrible and yet, she was worrying about me.

"I would have been more sorry, had I not arrived in time" I replied sincerely. I was still feeling a s.h.i.+ver run down my spine whenever I am thinking of what would have happened had I not arrived.

"Your too good, Tony. I feel lucky to have you as my colleague and friend" Tanya said, looking a little red near the ears

"Do me a favor and don't mention my sub gender to anyone. You know how male Omegas are viewed. I don't want to be perceived as such. It is already a headache seeing those looks in my son's school already" I requested.

Actually, I don't care about the looks, but people find it insulting to work under Omega. Now, that I am in an authoritative position, I want my sub gender to be more of a secret than ever. Lest, they put in a complain and I am thrown out before even finding a new job.

"I won't" Tanya promised, "I think, I should leave now. It's already pretty late. Uhmmm...Can I borrow another heat suppressant from you?"

"No problem" I said handing two more pills to her. She thanked me heartily.

"If your worried, I can drop you" I said

"No, it's fine. I stay with my parents and it's not very far from here. I guess, I can hold it till there" she a.s.sured me

I opened the door praying that Robbie had left. Thankfully, he was not there. Tanya bade me goodbye. I waved to her and asked her to inform once she is home. She nodded and left. I waited till she was out of sight and then got in to close the door, when I felt someone behind me. I turned to see Robbie. Before, I could react, he put his hand on my mouth, pushed me inside the house and the closed the door behind!
