I ran from the river of leaves that tried to cut off all routes of my escape as I sent out attack after attack to break through their veil. This was a nightmare. What type of monster did I even anger? I'm sure s.h.i.+ Da never fought this woman in his life. If he did he wouldn't have lived to tell the tale.

I needed to breakthrough in order to counter this storm!

The cherry blossom storm had cut away part of my clothing, making me truly look like a beggar now. I was a dog, a dog sentenced to die! There was no way in h.e.l.l that s.h.i.+ Da had ever fought this woman. She was much better than him at every turn.

I slashed out a grey-ish white wave that traveled through all the sword qi fragments dancing in the air, cutting right through them hitting the sword maiden square in the middle of her brow. She fell down with her eyes wide open dead.

Her very soul was split through by my strike!

I did not break through magnificently in the Sword Dao like some sword crazed maniac. I simply accepted this world for what it was. This was a soul world. I am a devil that commands the Dao of Souls. This world should naturally bow in my presence.

More specifically this was my soul world, not s.h.i.+ Da's soul world. He lost that right when he became raptor chow. Everything here is inside my domain and should live and die to my beck and call. Dancing around trying to fumble with his Dao, that is pointless.

This game ends now!

"Sword Dao of this soul world, heed my command and reveal your mysteries," I shouted to the heavens.

The entire Sword Gash Ridge rumbled at my words as the world shattered beneath my feet. My form changed, as I shed the look of a youthful s.h.i.+ Da.

I regained my own majestic form, with beautiful curved horns, a rugged beard, and rippling manly muscles.

As the world began to crumble beneath my feet, out came a person I would have never expected.

It was s.h.i.+ Da's shameless master. He was different now, no longer dirty like a beggar, he had nice clean black robes. He had even lost a few years, regaining his prime. His back was no longer hunched, he wasn't drunk, and his gaze was steady.

I guess this is how s.h.i.+ Da had envisioned his master. I knew the truth though, his master was a dirty old beggar who spent everyday drinking because he was constantly fighting the heavens to make a breakthrough with his r.e.t.a.r.ded cultivation technique.

He looked old because he was, fighting to grasp life every day as a lowly human with a short life that choose a stupid cultivation path. For all I knew the real Heaven Splitting master could already be dead.

"To rob the Sword Dao of this world you have to get through me!" said the clean cut beggar.

"Heaven Splitting"

The entire area around me was destroyed, the heavens wept and parted to his slash.

But I was unaffected.

My u003cHollow Domainu003e was released countering his attack. This was a s.h.i.+ Da's soul world. No matter how powerful this dirty old beggar is in reality, here he was constrained to how well s.h.i.+ Da understood the Sword Dao. s.h.i.+ Da only reached peak-Baron in life, so at most this projection of his master was at low-Viscount, from s.h.i.+ Da's imagination.

It looked stunning and awe-inspiring but that was only s.h.i.+ Da's imagination of what the real Heaven Splitting must be like. I had broken free of the shackles of this soul world, so I would not be beaten by a fake Heaven Splitting master.

I could now use my full array of abilities. Dealing with this pitiful knock off of the Heaven-Splitting master would be easy work.

I transformed into my Nephilim form releasing my full u003cHollow Domainu003e as an entire river of souls was released around me.
