The Substitute Wife Chapter 4: 4 What Are You Good At?

The sun was s.h.i.+ning on Mia's face. She turns and notices a naked body. "Ahh!" She kicks him and he fell out of the bed.

"d.a.m.n you woman!" "Ah. It's you." "Of course it's me." He rubs his stomach. "S-Sorry." He glares at her.

She teases, "you need a sea cuc.u.mber?" He flinch. She giggles. "You!" She sticks her tongue out at him and head to the bathroom to wash up.

He sits on the bed, in pain. She gets out of the bathroom and sees him in pain. She then grab some ointment out of the drawers.

She walks up to him. "Here." He ignores her. She kneels down and lifts his s.h.i.+rt by force. "You—" "Sorry. I didn't mean to."

He becomes speechless and let her put ointment on him. He stares at her while she put it on and blows it. "It might sting for a bit."

She looks up at him, he looks away. (Now I done it.) She gets up and walks away. Without thinking, he grabs her hand and pulls her close. "Ah!"

She ends up sitting on his lap. She blushed. (Ooh?) One of the butler comes in. "Master and Lady, breakfast is ready." Mia slaps Hiro on the face.

At the table, Mia is enjoying her breakfast while Hiro is not in the mood. Once she done, she head to the patio to sketch for her script.

Hiro joins her but she doesn't even notice he's there. He waves at her but she didn't even look at him.

He got irritated. He sighs. He stands up and trying to get her attention but nothing works. He gives up and head to the room to sleep.

Few hours later, she's finally done. She stretches. She then puts it away and head to the beach for a stroll.

As she enjoys the walk, she takes a few pictures on her cellphone. She hears someone behind. She got scared. She quickly walks and hides behind a tree.

She notices a stick on the ground. She picks it up and use it to defend herself.

"Argh." Hiro gets up since he couldn't even sleep. "This d.a.m.n woman really p.i.s.ses me off. Ignoring me. Is work that important than me?" He scoffs.

He walks back outside and sees her walking on the beach. "Where is she going?" He follows her.

He notices she quickly walks and then disappears. (Where did that woman go?)

Mia counts. (One..two..three...) She gets out of her hiding place and hits that person with her eyes closed. "Ahh!!"

"Ow! You woman!" She opens her eyes and sees him. "What are you doing? Geez. I'm hurting all over."

He looks over his bruises and then at her. He froze as soon he sees her crying. "H-hey. W-what's wrong with you?" She starts bawling and drops the stick. "Wahhhhh...!!!" "H-hey!"

He didn't know what to do. "H-hey, woman." "...yoooh scared me..wahhh..." "w-woman..." she still crying. He notices her whole body is trembling.

He grabs her hand and pulls her close. He hugs her. His face blushed. "I'm sorry. I followed you because I was wondering where you're going."

She stops crying but have the hiccups. "*Hic hic." They part and he wipes her tears. She grabs his s.h.i.+rt to blow her nose. His face darkens.

"You..." He was going to yell at her but after seeing her still have the hiccups. He silently forgives her. He takes her hand. "Let's go back."

She didn't fight back. She lets him hold her hand. Soon they went in circles. She speaks up. "You're lost aren't you?" "Shuddap. I know where I'm going." "You don't know where we are."

He ignores her. (Where are we?) She sighs then takes the lead. She goes back where they went. Soon they see the house.

She lets go of his hand. She turns to him. "You're welcome." "You—" "Wow. The arrogant man like you are scared of sea cuc.u.mber and have a poor sense of direction. Just what are you good at? Yelling at people? Being scary?" She looks at him up and down and went inside of the house.

He was too speechless of her blunt remarks that he can't even speak. "You...*scoffs this d.a.m.n woman..."
