Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen were currently seated in the liveliest restaurant in Ling Xi Country. Their table was full of different types of dishes and cuisine.

Since Ling Chuxi’s mood had calmed down, her appet.i.te was better as well. She regained her true colors of being a foodie. They had been rus.h.i.+ng onwards day after day. And she indeed did not have a proper meal this whole journey as well.

A burly man was chasing after a young man who hastily ran into the restaurant. There was an axe in the burly man’s hand, and he was seething with murderous intent.

“Stand still. You better stand still, if not I will break your leg right off!” yelled the burly man angrily as he chased the young man.

“Are you an idiot? How can you break my leg if I keep running from you? You can only break my leg if I stand still!” retorted the young man in the front who kept running away. A long white flag was raised in his hands reading, “The Iron Mouth And Divine Tooth Number One Fortune Teller Under The Heavens”. Ah, so it turns out that the young man was a fortune teller and one who could talk very well judging from the name of his practice.

‘Hmm. This cheat is no fool,’ concluded Ling Chuxi.

“Your grandmother… How dare you cheat me of my money?! You told me I’d receive a windfall, but I lost everything in the end. If I do not cripple you today, then I will take on your surname,” snarled the burly man as he chased on. Everyone’s figures dodged the both of theirs one by one. The cheat took advantage of his body’s agility and dodged however he could such as between dining tables and looked very much like a dancing fish as he did so.

“I only said that you would receive a windfall, I never said you’d make a fortune from gambling. And I surely never even said that you would not lose all your money. So, what does your current situation have to do with my a*s?” fired back the cheat quite plausibly as he continued dodging with reflexes which were not slow in the slightest.

“Then what about the windfall you predicted? If I do not chance upon a windfall today, I will split you alive,” cursed the burly man in a rage. He wore a look as fierce as a devil upon his face, making everyone surrounding them retreat ninety miles.

“The time has not yet come for that. I only said that you would receive a windfall, I never said when it would happen,” replied the cheat without showing any weakness in the slightest as he continued scurrying around.

Ling Chuxi couldn’t help but overhear the conversation between these two men and secretly laughed to herself. This cheat was not only physically agile, he was mentally agile as well.

The both of them continued running around. Soon enough, all the dining tables in the restaurant had been knocked around till they were teetering to the left and to the right and the whole restaurant was overflowing with oil and soup. Still, no one dared to stand up and speak against the two running men. Seeing the burly man’s aggressive aura, the diners had heart palpitations. Furthermore, the burly man was in such a fit of anger that naturally no one dared to stir up any further trouble with him.

Soon, the cheat had nowhere else to run to. He deftly escaped the burly man’s clutches once again and ended up hiding behind Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen.

“Go on running you little brat. Let’s see where else you can hide,” taunted the burly man with a hideous grin as he raised his axe.

The burly man holding the axe really could not catch up to the cheat’s wits. In a spur of anger, the burly man swung his axe in the direction of Ling Chuxi’s table.

He moved to lift it once more, but he could not. Then, he moved to lift it one more time and still, he could not. He turned to look at Ling Chuxi’s table confusedly. This wasn’t right. It wasn’t as if the table had any roots. Why didn’t it move when he lifted his axe?

“Are you guys done?” asked Ling Chuxi as she glared at the burly man angrily. She was too lazy to be bothered by other people’s matters. She didn’t care who was cheating whom or who got cheated by whom, it had nothing to do with her in the least. But to overturn a foodie’s table and interrupt a foodie while she was in the middle of her first good meal in days, now this matter had a huge relation to her.

“Are you with him?” questioned the burly man as he gestured at the cheat and glared back at Ling Chuxi with bulging eyes. Honestly, he did feel a little terrified in his heart. He had exerted all of his energy and yet he could not lift this maiden’s table. How much strength did this delicate lady before his eyes possess? Or was it the strength of the man seated with her? The burly man was a little unsure of this.
