The house was so well-maintained that Su Qainwei could feel homey in it. It wasn't anything catchy or flashy, she had seen all her life. It was just familiar and calm. The forest outside must have something to do with it...
She was keeping a safe distance between them to not act as pushy. Who knew maybe if this boisterous man got annoyed by her antics, he may bind her by a chair again!
Yu w.a.n.g took out an apple and then exhaled his rage as to not burst. He was trying his best to avoid the living, talking, walking evidence of the biggest blunder of his life but the cunning woman didn't know what is good for her.
He turned around and Su Qianwei breath hitched. He was just a breath away from her but he didn't stop. He took deliberate heavy footstep in her direction forcing her to take steps backwards until she was cornered against the wall.
Well, now the boisterous man was intimidating...
Yu w.a.n.g narrowed his mystic eyes and raised his finger below her sharp-pointed nose, "It means that you would do yourself a favour to not do anything that you like and I may not like and not go anywhere you like that I may not like." He hissed and pushed away from her.
Su Qianwei saw him climbing the stairs to his bedroom, and hurriedly followed, she climbed some steps to catch up to him.
Su Qainwei was annoyed by his annoyance. Couldn't he see she was far more annoyed than him from her presence in this Tarzan's made-out-of-trees house?!
His mere presence was a bother, not to mention the ticking-bomb on her body! She was eerily annoyed and didn't want to do anything in her burst of anger that would lead her to eventually burst in flames.
She s.n.a.t.c.hed his arm to get his attention. She mocked a smile and a bow then spat with venom lacing her query, "So Your Highness, my leaving your gracious castle would be to your liking or not?"
Yu w.a.n.g turned his face sharply glare in her direction and pushed her against the wall harshly earning a hiss from her, he towered over her.
Now that she had washed up, he could see the alluring face of the beauty but his distrust of her made her immune to him.
He harshly grabbed her chin and forced her to look him in the eye, she held his wrist but couldn't move it, "Don't think for a moment I don't know of the vile things you have done. I May have not known you were too from a family of serpents previously but even then I knew the kind of vicious woman you are ." He snarled with animosity ripping his chords.
He wasn't bluffing, he did know many things about the upper society. Being in the internal sources of Yu's did give you that much of briefing about every soul that breathed in your premises.
If it wasn't for Li Yuan who was guarding and justifying her crimes, Yu w.a.n.g would put her several feet below the ground for killing his little nephew.
Su Qainwei eyes hardened at once and the hand that was holding his wrist stabbed her nails in his wrist, "You don't know what you are talking about! So just drop it!"
Yu w.a.n.g tightened his hold on her chin and smirked in a menacing way that could bleed hearts, "Oh? You think I don't know what I am talking about?"
His sarcasm did nothing to plead his case, "You think I don't know how you killed Yu Jian's firstborn when he was hardly four months old in Su Qing. How I f*cking wish to kill you in cold-blood just as how you killed my unborn nephew!"
Niece! It was a niece! Su Qing whose eyes were burning with nirvana wanted to shout but the words were clogged in her throat pinching her like the scalpel must have pinched Su Qing then.
She was her niece too, she was her aunt too but it was either the child or her mother...
She was cunning and manipulative, as cheap to the world as a woman with no origin could be... But she wasn't a cold-blooded killer! She would never sabotage the life of her dear and only sister if she had a choice then!
Yu w.a.n.g saw agony, grief and longing pa.s.s in her eyes that were the only giveaway to her stoic face. He looked at her with a frown and tried to decipher her like an ancient ma.n.u.script.
The woman was a jigsaw on her own. Now, what did she have these set of emotions when there should be guilt etched in her features...but she could be faking it! Anything could be expected of a woman like her!
He pushed her away. She staggered two-step on the stairs before regaining her balance.
Yu Wqang climbed the stairs further and coldly commanded without looking behind, "Leave and don't show me your face again unless I ask you to."
Su Qinwei bristled but chose to leave, it was a better time when the sun was still up if any later how would she even know where to go.
Su Qianwei took heavy steps back, stomping her foot in anger with her every step but after three steps she halted.
She didn't really know the place around. It could be said it was pure luck, she was wandering around the forest for clues or shreds of evidence because this was the very forest where Lei Xinyi accident took place. She wanted to see if there was any way she could figure out who the murderer was.
She was looking for proofs and got lost in the forest. That was the moment she realized the place was far too deep and connections and signals didn't work there.
When she was lost of hope and the forest berries weren't enough to keep her alive, she was on a tree when she saw Yu w.a.n.g and at once recognized him on his bike and then followed the barely visible tracks of his bike on the damp forest ground.
She followed him from a distance and waited until he leaves the house the next day to enter his adobe. In his house, she took bath, washed her clothes, then wore them back again...the lingeries at least!
Then she waited for him to end his chapter right away as he was hunting her like a mad dog in all the city, sniffing her around.
So it was safe to say she didn't know her way back to the road or civilisation which could prove to be an issue.
'Should she ask him...?' Su Qianwei stomped her feet harder at the absurd thought. 'She would rather die than ask anything from that scrawny, callous, arrogant man!'
Yu w.a.n.g saw her walk out of the house and rolled his eyes, 'If only the arrogant, stupid woman had asked him of the way around.' They were in the middle of the forest, there was no way she was making it out on foot before the dark, even if she knew the way around.
He took a deep breath and walked back in his room while muttering under his breath, "Good for me! A little fluffy beast will have her as his dinner though I doubt she could be digested. G.o.d bless the soul of the oblivious creature!"
Su Qainwei ran around the forest but it was like she had crossed the same tree for about 28 times. She stood still and huffed.
The hissing, chirping, squirming of the d.a.m.ned wild animals wasn't helping her either. The sun was about to set in about an hour or half and the eerie stillness of the beasts was just creeping her out.
It was like they were waiting for the perfect timing to make her their shared meal, Su Qianwei shuddered at the thought.
She had learnt about how to see directions in the forest by your shadow. Before noon your shadow falls on the west and afternoon it fell in the east.
If you know one direction others were easy to deduct but this d.a.m.n place was a forest with big century-old trees, so tall that the harsh morning sun felt like the sunset.
She raised her phone up in the air to catch a signal or two to locate her direction but it was to no use as the signals weren't available to this dense forestry.
She was getting frantic and her composure was breaking. The place was renowned for the jungle-horrors it possessed. Her heart was beating like drums in a Gladiator's arena.
She was hyper-aware of the slightest of sounds that would put her on alert. All she could understand was that her death was set in stones. She escaped a bullet only to land in the jaws of a beast.
Yu w.a.n.g cottage would have kept her safe from her impending fate if only her ego had told her how to lay low. she wished, she could go back there but she didn't even know where the cottage was anymore.
