[Dungeon Master Jordan] X [Dungeon Core Orai]
DM: 1
DL: 20
1520 DP/day
DP:1920
------------------------
I turned to my left to wake up Orai, as she was currently sleeping on my chest. I didn't know how she got there but I wasn't really complaining. I decided to wait a few minutes before waking her up, not knowing when I would get this chance again. As I started to slightly shake her, she started to gradually wake up. Upon seeing the situation that she was in, she became red and fl.u.s.tered.
"Tell a single soul about this and I will unleash unknown horrors against you...Jordy", Orai said blus.h.i.+ng.
"What are you two Dungeonites doing this early in the morning? Was the bed too big? Or maybe it was too small? Hahaha! It must be nice to be youn-"
Briggs was unable to finish his sentence, as Orai jumped out of bed and tried to land a sidekick against him. As he caught her foot, she rapidly began launching multiple kicks and punches against Briggs. After he consistently blocked every single one, Orai jumped back.
"So you have chosen death? It's a shame. I was starting to like your personality", Orai said.
"I see you are bashful when it comes to your feelings, Orai! Do you really want to duel over this? Do you think you have a chance against me? The time you could've spent improving your martial arts was spent cooking! You don't stand a chance, lad!" Briggs said proudly.
"Can't a Dungeon Core get some exercise every once and a while? Show me what you got, you old man! I may be a B-ranked Fighter but I still know a thing or two! Don't break your back when you try to attack!", Orai stated.
As Orai and Briggs began their pointless duel, I noticed that they were both enjoying themselves. Their faces were currently beaming.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The humans that Orai sensed yesterday were still projected to arrive tomorrow. The Dungeon Defense System identified them as beginner adventurers, most likely around the rank of C+. While Orai was aggravated about her loss, she was cooking breakfast in our new kitchen. Since we reached DL 20, we unlocked the Improved Version of appliances among other things. Earlier in the morning, we purchased the following items:
For the price of 100 DP, we purchased an Improved Kitchen [B]. Compared to the basic kitchen, this one featured improvements in every single known area. It was also changed to an Island Style Kitchen. Orai suggested that we buy this since the Kitchen we had previously was inefficient.
For 50 DP, We bought an Improved Table. It was a matte-black conference table that could hold a max of 6 people. However, Briggs wanted it so he could spread out his blueprints and plans on a larger s.p.a.ce. He was too busy with the plans for 'Constrictor' to bother with building a good one from scratch. It would also be used as a dining table when we are eating.
For 120 DP, we bought an Improved Bathroom. I bought this since I didn't want to bathe or p.i.s.s out in the open. I thought that was reason enough to buy it.
For 200 DP, I bought Orai and I some B-ranked medium armor from the market. Until Briggs was able to devote time to his forge, we would have to settle for these. Luckily, they were customizable so we got the armor in the colors we wanted.
Finally, for 200 DP, I bought Orai and I a pair of elemental swords, which were also B-ranked. They could change their elemental status at will, as long as the user was compatible with that element. We bought the Armor and Weapons so we could actively fight for our dungeon. We could also use our appearance to trick any intruders to enter the Dungeon, giving us free DP. Thus, these served as combat gear and disguises at the same time.
After these purchases were made, we currently had 1250 DP to spend on 'Constrictor'.
----------------------------------------
Briggs was currently at his Architecture desk finis.h.i.+ng the plans for 'Constrictor'. Today was the day that we would finally bring our plans to life! As he brought over the final plans and spread them over the conference table, Briggs fell to his seat with a large sigh. Around the same time, Orai brought us our breakfast.
"How are the plans coming along Briggs? Have you finalized it yet?", I asked.
"Pretty much. The plan for constrictor is finished. I'm currently planning the 2nd level since we have a good amount of DP leftover. Here's the floor plan for it. You can start rearranging the dungeon and placing the prefabs down. Once you are done, Bose and I will head down to the 50 x 50 room to set up the traps", Briggs said.
Bose brought over a large pillow and placed it behind Briggs' back. It seems that he was still tired from defeating Orai earlier, as he wasn't as young as he used to be. The pointless duel with Orai was more of a challenge than the dwarves he fought when we met him. I guessed that it was her persistence that made her so dangerous to him.
As I ate my breakfast, I carefully looked over the blueprint. I opened up the DP market and purchased the following items that were needed:
100 X 50 Hallway [150 DP]
100 X 100 X 100 Giant Room [800 DP]
25 X 25 X 25 Room [100 DP] x2
50 x 50 Hallway [50 DP] x2
After I purchased the items, I brought up the Dungeon Builder UI. With a piece of toast in my mouth, I began rearranging the Modular Dungeon that we started with. Luckily, I could move the rooms on the screen with my finger, selecting from the list of available objects/prefabs. Our previous 'Main Room' was pushed to the back. Our new 'Giant Room' would become the Rest Area and the beginning of the Dungeon. I took the two hallways and combined it with the one I bought, which permanently upgraded itself into a 300 foot long Corridor. With the 50 x 50 room now in the back, I placed the two 50 foot hallways on the right and left side of the room. These would lead to the two 25 x 25 rooms, which would all house a variety of traps.
I placed the Dungeon Core Room on the second level of the Dungeon, whose placement was suggested by Briggs. The middle of the previous 'Main Room' would house the spiral stairs that lower to the 2nd level, which was currently only possible with a ladder. As I confirmed my decision in the UI, the mobs were automatically undeployed from the Dungeon. The system began sp.a.w.ning in the Prefabs and rearranging itself according to the order. As I ate my breakfast, I watched the UI rearrange the Dungeon live on the aerial map. It took about 5 minutes before the process was completed.
As Briggs walked over and looked at my UI, he began to smile.
"See what happens when you obtain a Griffin? Your Dungeon looks like a Cross! I updated the design to its second version, which is called 'Holy Constrictor'. This design will not only constrict its enemies but utilize deception for the intruders who make it to the end. I already finished my breakfast so I'll go ahead and start placing the traps! Don't forget about the notes I made! I gave some mob placement suggestions!" Briggs happily said.
As Bose and Briggs put on their backpacks and headed over to the end of the first floor, I looked at the Dungeon's map.
It was a beautiful sight, as I was finally the owner of a legitimate dungeon. As I opened the DP Store and looked at what we unlocked, I smiled.
We had a fresh batch of Mobs to choose from. Some way more valuable than the others.
