"That sounds like Kazuki. He did not come into town often but when he did he provided valuable information. He moved into that house last year and I heard that he was wandering around and moving with his wife and child. Mayumi is so adorable." Subaru kept his pace up with Gabriel. 

"Big Brother said a bad word but I am a good boy and I will not repeat the word!" Itsuki was leaning into Gabriel and still holding onto his s.h.i.+rt.

"That is good Big brother is older and is allowed to say what he wants and it is not bad but you are too young so do not copy me." Gabriel slowed down a little and they reached the inn. Gabriel placed Itsuki done and changed his shoes. He picked Itsuki back up once his shoes were changed. 

Itsuki felt the ground and changed his shoes and pulled Gabriel's pants then held his arms up. When he was back in Gabriel's arms he gave the biggest grin.

Subaru placed the package down and changed his shoes and followed Gabriel back to his room. "Mari, if it is not too much trouble could we get food in Gabriel's room?" He asks after seeing Mari and picks that bundle of herbs back up. 

"Of course, I will bring three portions to Gabriel's room right away. I had a feeling this might make me happy so I cooked a little extra." Mari smiled and bowed and went back to the kitchen. 

"Thank you, Mari!" Gabriel carried Itsuki to his room and placed him down when they got inside the room. "Itsuki are you nervous about riding in a carriage?" 

Itsuki looked around the room and looked at everything in great interest. "I am not afraid! I am excited. I do not know if I will be able to rest." He goes to the table and sees a sketch. "Is this Big Sister?" 

Gabriel looks down at the sketch and his expression softens. "That is Big Sister. She is the most important person to me. I am sorry I do not have a finished picture of her." Gabriel gingerly touches the picture and his expression was one of a man that is madly in love.

Subaru watches Gabriel and looks at the picture. 'She is indeed beautiful. I will pray for her. I am sure that after I meet her I will cry for her as she is so young. I will worry that Gabriel will not be able to handle her illness.' He comes closer and looks at the picture. "If you were not such a great doctor I would suggest that you go into painting. You are amazing." 

"Thank you, I get lost in my thoughts and then I start to sketch her. It must be my subconscious mind at work. I have many paintings of my beloved and I am sure that she will be surprised once she sees them." Gabriel shakes his head and cleans up the papers off the desk. He packs it up in a side bag and then sits down. 

"Big Sister is very pretty. I look forward to meeting her." Itsuki goes and sits in Gabriel's lap. "Will Big Brother be okay?" He reaches his little hand up and places it on Gabriel's cheek. 

"I will be okay. There is nothing to worry about. I am just a little off from seeing her picture. I miss her and worry about her. That is my confession." Gabriel looked at Itsuki as he tried to cheer him up.

Subaru sat next to Gabriel. "I am sure that she is safe at home. We will reach your place in the morning and you will see her soon enough." 

Mari knocks on the door and brings the food inside the room. "I cannot believe that the days are soaring by so fast. It feels like just yesterday that you arrived. Time really flies by. Thank you for helping out our daughter." Mari bows to Gabriel. "This room will always be left for you. I will not rent it to anyone else. It would not sit well with me. So if you want to leave some items in this room you can. I will make sure that everything is here and ready that next time you come over." 

"Thank you. Mari. I do not have a lot but I will leave my clothing here if you do not mind. Could you wash and fold them for me? Also. the umbrella I borrowed is in the corner of the room by the door. I do not know if you need it for the front or not. I will bring one for myself to use next time. I would like to bring Amelia here. That is if you do not mind?" Gabriel looked happy at Mari. 

"I have no issues with that. I will make sure the bedding is changed and ready from the next time you come here and I will set it up for a young couple. I look forward to meeting your wife to be. If you can think of anything that you need for her just let me know and I will make sure that I take care of everything." Mari bows before placing the food on the table. "Itsuki, you need to sit in your spot otherwise Gabriel will not be able to eat." 

"I will let you know. I will bring some special tea for her and it would be most helpful if you could prepare the tea for her. I do not have any on me but I will bring the tea mixture when we come back." Gabriel looked at Itsuki who looked like he was about to start crying. "It is only so that we can eat dinner. I will move over and you can sit next to me. Does that work for Little Brother?" 

 "Itsuki is very attached to Gabriel now. I will worry that he will not want to come home after being in the city." Subaru shakes his head but is smiling.

"Itsuki will come home with Papa, otherwise Papa will be lonely." Itsuki climbed off Gabriel's lab and waited for him to move over.
