"Babe, I'm here," I heard and I looked over at William as he walked in. His hair was cut short and he looked uncertain walking over towards me. I watched him set the plate down before I grabbed him and pulled him down next to me, resting his head on my chest.
"Liam, thank you for everything," I said, smiling softly as I felt him nod his head. I sat up and he sat next to me, staring at me silently. William, or Liam for short, was my soulmate and we both knew it. Liam is a transgender male and can be incredibly outgoing and kind, but had been reining it in as I've been grieving.
"Of course I'd be here for you, Levi. I think you should go see them, though. It may help you cope a bit better than you have been."
I nodded and Liam tensed up and he thought I would push away the idea again. I stood up and stretched my body and rotated my arms on my shoulders. I looked back to Liam watching me and patted him on the head. He stood up quickly and started pouting.
"I'm almost as tall as you, babe."
"But you're still shorter," I said, patting his head again and received another pout in return. I walked towards the door and quickly tugged it open before walking towards the stairs. I stopped at the top and turned to confirm that Liam was following before I descended to the bottom floor.
"Kai, where's the coffee?" I heard from the kitchen as I finally got to the last stair. It felt strange and unusual to be out and moving around. I watched Kai walk in and head straight for the sound of Week's voice.
"If it's not in the cabinet, we don't have any," he replied and Week looked at him with a cold expression as I stood in the doorway.
"Why don't we have envy then, Kai? It was a full container last night," Week asked, looking in the cabinet more to find some coffee.
"Look, it's right here in front of you. Jesus, how did Rose put up with you?" Just with that sentence, the arguing began and I was stuck watching them, laughing quietly to myself. I cleared my throat and the fighting in front of me quieted and they turned to stare at me.
"Oh, hey, Levi. When did you decide to come join the land of the living?" Week asked as he turned to start the coffee. I stared at the back of his head for a minute. He looked awful. His hair was everywhere and it looked like he hadn't brushed nor washed it in a while. His eyes were dulled and there was a ring of silver around the pupil of his right eye, while his left had a ring of sapphire blue.
"You look like s.h.i.+t, Week," I said standing up taller and moving into the kitchen just as my stomach started making noises. I forgot to eat the food Liam brought to me.
"Thanks, Captain Obvious. I'll try harder with my looks next time." Week sent a small glare my way before turning back to the job he was busting himself with.
"What's got his panties in a bunch?" I asked and looked over at Kai. The man in question shrugged and I got pelted with water. Week stood there with a now empty cup and let out a small growl.
"I've been having dreams too," he started, turning to the coffee maker, "just like Angel has been having. It's been a few days and last night I fell asleep at the gravestone. In it, Rose was saying she was scared, yet I don't think she could say much more. That girl I told you I saw, Kai, she melted into her."
"How is that possible?" Kai asked and then it hit me.
"I don't think Rose is dead," I blurted out and both males turned to stare at me with widened eyes.
"Of course she's dead, Levi, we all were there when she died," Week a.s.serted, a scoff under the sigh that followed.
"Yes, but we also saw her get back up and sprout wings. She had black angel wings, Week. That shouldn't have been possible," I reply and felt Kai put his hand on my shoulder and realized I was letting of magic again.
"I don't think his theory is far off, Week, and the archangels haven't been much help anyway. Last time I went, Michael called in his daughter and it was strange, she was covering her face."
"You've said that's common for the daughters of archangels, though, and how haven't they been helpful," I asked, turning to look at him along with Week.
"Each of them have been avoiding the subject and keep giving me very different answers, but they refuse to say she's dead, and the archangels can't lie," Kai replied, his eyes falling to the floor.
"What was different about the way the daughter of Michael covered her face?" Week asked.
"Normally, daughters cover the bottom half of their faces starting just under the eyes, but she covers her eyes and leaves her lips showing, and they call her Rosalina, which Rose is a common nickname of."

I started marching out to the gravestone not long after that. I heard the yells of Liam asking me where I was going, but I continued on my path. We had seen almost like an explosion of light over by it and I paused once I reached it. Right in front of the grave was a bright purple portal and I knew what that color meant. It meant right in front of me was a portal to the Heaven kingdom.
"Levi, wait!" I heard behind me and turned to see Kai, Week, and Liam running towards me. It took me a second but I also noticed Angel start running from farther behind them.
"What is it?" I asked and watched everyone stop and start panting, trying to catch their breaths.
"I'm coming with you, Levi," Week said, looking towards the portal. "I know what you're going to do and I'm all with you, but you're going to need some backup."
"If you two idiots think you can make it I'm the Heaven kingdom by yourselves, then you've never been more wrong. I'll come with you," Kai said, stepping in line with Week.
"Wherever you go, Levi, I go too," Liam said, stepping up with the other two. I looked over to Angel then and she stood transfixed on the portal in front of her.
"Angel?" I called, snapping her attention to me and she nodded, meaning she wanted to come to. I turned back to the portal and took in a deep breath. "Then we should go, we don't know how long this portal will be open." As soon as I said it, I stepped through and ended up in a room surrounded by flowers made of frost.
"Who are you?"
