MY KIND OF LOVE 1 Chapter 1

Miray Yethu stepped out of the taxi and started walking to her company building. She was wearing a peach colored pencil skirt, which showed her slender curves, with a white s.h.i.+rt, her black curly hair was tied up in a ponytail and she had gold stilettos on with a cream white handbag to match up the outfit. She didn't like to wear a lot of make-up, she only did a few touches to her eyebrows and wore red lipstick. She had a small round face with big round eyes, the red lipstick looked good on her because of her fuller lips. Just by one look you could tell what a beautiful woman she was.

'Why do these heels hurt so bad and yet look so good' .. she thought to herself as she walked towards the elevator while looking at her iPad. Ever since she started her company, she had to wear high heels and tie up her hair in a ponytail to look more professional and decent. 

Miray Yethu was 27 years old, first born of a family of three. Five years ago she graduated with a degree in food and nutrition in country x. When she came back to her country, she started helping in her father's business. After learning a lot from her father's business, she later decided to start up her own company. It took a lot of dedication and hard work to put things together, there were times she wanted to give up but she had already done so much to turn back. Finally after working too hard, her company became one of the fastest growing companies in the country with a lot of people willing to invest. 

Miray was known to be a very ruthless business woman, no one dared to get on her bad side. She showed no mercy to her employees who were slacking back and to those who tried to get in her way. Even though she had rumours going on about her, she never revealed her real ident.i.ty to the public. People always referred to her as "the witch" who stops at nothing. There were rumours about how she was very scary that no man wanted to be with her and that in her last relations.h.i.+p, she was an abusive girlfriend making her ex boyfriend to run away from her by leaving the country. She knew about all the rumours but she never cared enough to address them. The more mysterious she was the less the people would try to bully her.

"Miray, I know I raised you to be an ambitious independent woman, but then again you have become too ambitious! You know most men can't handle a very successful woman, it intimidates them!!...  Why not marry someone who can protect you and shake off all these rumours.. " old Yethu, Miray's father, would always nag her about being very ambitious and not getting married. She has no idea how many times he had said those words to her. 

She finally reached the 10th floor and on her way to her office she heard someone whispering "she's here..", that was the signal for everyone to get in place and start looking busy.

'Was she that scary?' Miray couldn't help but think this to herself, but what was she suppose to do? It was better that way. Their relations.h.i.+p would only involve office work, Miray was really good at drawing the line with people.

"Good morning everyone, I want to start this morning by congratulating everyone, for their job well done. We might open a new branch in city H before the end of this month. If all things turn out very well, I might send you all with your families for vacation at the end of the year... Work harder." The smile that was on her face died with those last two words. It was more like a warning that if they don't perform well, she would cancel the vacation.

They all applauded for their hard work and of course the vacation that was to come. It motivated them to work even harder before the boss changes her mind and cancels the vacation. 

"Jeff, please come to my office and give me the reports from our branches... Nene, don't forget to set up an appointment with Mr. Carlos whenever you get a hold of him.." She reminded them before entering her office.

Miray had a lot of paper work to do after not being at the office for two days because she had to visit her grandmother in city Y. The day went by so fast, she had her lunch at the office which Nene brought for her. Without knowing it she fell asleep on her desk because of being too tired.

Eveyone at the office didn't know what to do; it was 8pm and they were still at work. One of the company's policy was  to only leave together with the boss and they were paid reasonably for working overtime. Everybody looked at Jeff, who always used to have a plan in getting them out of situations like this. Last time something like this happened, they almost left the office at 1am because Miray suddenly fell asleep while working.

"Jeff, what should we do? I really have to meet up with my new boyfriend, I can't make excuses, I am serious about this relations.h.i.+p!.."  Rita was looking at the time as she stood up from her desk.

"I also have to meet up with someone, if I knew she was coming back today I wouldn't have made plans tonight .." Peter took off his gla.s.ses and looked very annoyed. And now everyone started to complain to Jeff about having things to do.

"Aah why are you all behaving like kids!!!... " he was about to continue shouting at them until a thought came to his mind, and then he looked at his workmates with a smile. " I know a someone who could help ,.. you all owe me dinner after this.." Jeff smiled crockedly as he looked at their curious faces. He took his phone and went out to make a phone call.

Thirty minutes after Jeff made the phone call, a tall man with a handsome face came into the office. Everybody was looked at him. He was in his sweat pants and had big earphones around his neck. He looked rather young, he might have been at least 22 or 23 years old. 

Who could that be? 

He greeted everybody with a smile and made a secret handshake with Jeff, you could tell they have known each other for sometime.

" hey, don't worry, I will take her, you should have called me earlier ... " he said it to Jeff while smiling. " Don't tell her I called you, she will kill me! you know how she is.. " Jeff said it while holding the young man's shoulder. "haha don't worry, I wouldn't want to be responsible for your death.." he said jokingly while laughing.

The women in the room were mesmerized with his looks, they kept on staring at him. 

'How could such a handsome guy be around that witch?'

'Who is he?'

'It couldn't be that their boss has become shameless enough to get herself a younger lover, could it?'

'But how come Jeff knew him?' Questions kept on lingering into their minds. 

After the young man went into the office, they turned to Jeff trying to feed off their gossiping nature.
