By the time they reached Little Melon's school, they entered the school bus. .

Little Melon sat in between his parents. He looked happy when he saw Yong Xiao Yao was sitting behind them.

Yong Xiao Yao was sitting with her father. Their faces were void of expression.

Xia Meilin fell asleep while they were on their way to the Olympic Forest Park. When they reached the camping site, it was near the lake and just before them was the forest.

A lot of mothers were glancing at Lu Yifeng and Yong Xiao Yao's father, Yong Wei Qing. Meanwhile, the other fathers that were there gave them an envious glance.

The cla.s.s were divided into four groups. Little Melon and Yong Xiao Yao were in one group which made Little Melon happy.

They were a.s.signed to fix the tents while other teams were a.s.signed to prepare for lunch and collect some woods.

When the lunch was prepared, everyone went in line to get their share of food.

"Yaoyao, you can have my cookies." Little Melon said as he saw beside her.

Yong Xiao Yao's eyes sparkled when she heard Little Melon's words. "Okay." She happily accepted the cookies from him.

It was a good thing that Xia Meilin brought some cookies with her, because of this Little Melon took some and gave it to Yong Xiao Yao so that she won't ignore him.

"Thank you." Yong Xiao Yao said with her small and cute voice. Despite the blank look on her face, her eyes showed how happy she was.

"We're going treasure hunting later, are you excited?" Little Melon asked.

The only response that Yong Xiao Yao gave him was just a nod but even with this, Little Melon was happy because she wasn't ignoring him anymore.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng were eating somewhere close by the two kids. Xia Meilin saw how Little Melon was interacting with Yong Xiao Yao.

"He likes her" Xia Meilin said.

"Mm."

"Xiao Gua said that she likes cookies so much, that's why I made sure to bring some."

"Mm."

"Look at how happy our son looks while he's talking with her."

"Mm."

Xia Meilin turned to her husband and frowned. "Is that the only word you can say?"

Lu Yifeng blinked a few times. Did he do something wrong? He was just agreeing with her. "What do you want me to say?"

Xia Meilin pursed her lips since she couldn't argue with him because of his question. She ended up sighing.

"You know, it makes me wonder if Xiao Yao's father is my relative. My mother came from the Yong family after all. I never met my mother's side of the family." She sighed. "I wonder what kind of people they are?"

"I never heard the surname 'Yong' being included in the elite families." Lu Yifeng said.

"Then that must mean that my mother came from a simple family, right?"

"Excuse me."

Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng turned to the person who approached them.

It was Yong Wei Qing, Yong Xiao Yao's father.

Xia Meilin smiled at him, "Mr. Yong. Nice to meet you."

He gave her a simple nod. "Can I sit with you two?"

"Oh sure, sure."

Lu Yifeng's eyes narrowed. He placed his hand on Xia Meilin's waist and pulled her close. He stared at him as if he was saying that he can't sit beside her.

Yong Wei Qing ignored Lu Yifeng's look and he saw on Xia Meilin's side instead which made him earn a glare from Lu Yifeng.

"By the way, where is your wife, Mr. Yong?" Xia Meilin asked as she looked at him.

"She's busy with work." He turned away and looked at Yong Xiao Yao and Little Melon.

"I see..."

"Do you know Yong Sining?" Lu Yifeng asked directly.

Yong Wei Qing turned to Lu Yifeng and blinked a few times. "Yes, she's my sister."

Xia Meilin gasped in surprise. "You're my uncle? Yong Sining is my mother!"

Yong Wei Qing stared at her for a while before he smiled. "I know."

"Then... Then why didn't you tell me anything back then?" Xia Meilin asked.

"You didn't ask." With that, he stood up. "It's time to collect the dishes, let's go."

Xia Meilin was still in shock as she watched Yong Wei Qing walk away. She then turned to Lu Yifeng. "He's really my relative! My uncle!"

"Mm." Lu Yifeng stared at Yong Wei Qing who was collecting the dishes from the others with the help of some single mothers who came there. He felt wary of him since he never encountered Yong Wei Qing in his previous life. He knows nothing about him and this made him want to do a background check on him.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin was excited to talk with Yong Wei Qing again. She was clueless of her mother's side that's why it made her curious. If he was her uncle then does that means... Yong Xiao Yao is her cousin?

She turned and saw Yong Xiao Yao, picking the trashes and throwing it in the plastic that Little Melon was holding.

"Let's go help them." Xia Meilin stood up and turned to look at Lu Yifeng with a smile.
