"I ordered a background check on you—I mean, of Long Xiulan because of…you already know about me concealing the truth behind the car accident," he said with a heavy sigh before ma.s.saging his temples. "It's the most shameful thing that I've ever done in my entire life, my biggest sin. Even if you're telling me now that you aren't really Long Xiulan and that the one I wronged before isn't you, I still shouldn't have done that. It was heartless, ruthless and malicious of me."
