Fu Hee was very happy when she was received warmly after getting to Fu Hua's house. Housekeeper Zu ushered her in and led her to the couch to sit.

"Where is Jia Li?." Fu Hee asked with all smiles.

"Ma'am is upstairs, she will be here in a minute." Housekeeper Zu replied politely and walked away to get some snacks for her.

Jia Li was aware that her mother-in-law was coming, so she didn't waste time. She carried Jasmine and went downstairs, and didn't bother to inform Fu Hua who was currently working in the workshop.

Mei was holding the carrier where Jasmine was laying inside, while Jia Li made her way down the stairs with the help of the rail. She was still getting used to her body which hurts down there any time she made a big move.

When Jia Li got to the living room, Housekeeper Zu had just finished serving Fu Hee.

Fu Hee was the first to greet Jia Li when she saw her. She smiled and walked towards her.

"Jia Li, how are you?" Fu Hee asked with a smiling gaze.

"I'm fine, Aunty." Jia Li replied with a smile.

The two women walked over to sit on the 3-sitter couch. Mei placed Jasmine's carrier on the floor beside Jia Li's feet and went on to carry out the cute little girl whose eyes has been wandering around. She loved the feeling of being carried about.

Mei handed Jasmine over to Jia Li before walking some distance away.

"Aunty, thank you for coming." Jia Li said with a polite smile.

"I should be the one thankful that you allowed me to visit. How is Da Xia doing?." Fu Hee asked with a smile as she peeped to see her granddaughter.

"She is fine Aunty, you can hold her." Jia Li said to her. She knew how much her mother-in-law wanted to hold her little one, as she could see the yearning in her eyes.

Fu Hee looked surprised and asked just to confirm if she heard clearly, "Really, I can hold her?."

"Yes." Jia Li replied with a smile and unwrapped the shawl that was wrapped around Jasmine, before pa.s.sing Jasmine to her

"Thank you!." Fu Hee said excitedly as she happily welcomed her granddaughter in her arms.

Jasmine moved her hands and feet about after she was released from the bondage that held her hands and feet together.

The little girl smacked her lips and slowly fixed her gaze on her grandmother.

Fu Hee was all smiles, as this was the first time she was holding the newborn in her arms. She called out her name and introduced herself while holding her carefully in her arms.

"Da Xia, I am your grandmother."

"Da Xia, you look so cute."

Fu Hee said a few more words to her, before turning to Jia Li to say, "I almost forgot I brought soup for you. This will help to remove the remaining blood in your womb."

Jia Li glanced at the flask she came with and asked in a curious tone, "Aunty, is it bitter?."

"Why are you worried about the taste? This is something that will help your health." Fu Hee said with a smile.

"Aunty, this past few days, I've been eating a lot of things that are bitter, I don't think I can eat any more of it." Jia Li complained.

This was the first time Fu Hee was finding Jia Li's actions funny. She reasoned that Jia Li complained to close up the distance between them. She smiled happily and said to her, "Don't worry, the soup is not bitter, I made it myself. I added a lot of meat and fish to it, so you can enjoy it without complaints."

"Thank you, Aunty!." Jia Li said happily and immediately called Mei to come and serve the soup for her.

Mei walked over and picked up the flask and went into the kitchen. She came back 2 minutes later with the soup, turned into a bowl ????

Jia Li took the tray from her hands and placed it on her thighs. Next, she picked up the spoon and had a taste of the soup.

Fu Hee was staring at her with an expectant gaze and asked, "How is it, do you like the taste?."

"Yes Aunty, it's nice. The soup is hot as well, so I love it more." Jia Li replied with a smile. The soup was delicious and had lots of meat and fish inside, and that was what she loved the most.

"I brought enough soup for two servings, you should drink the remaining soup when it's very hot, it will go a long way. Since you like the soup, I will be coming often to deliver it to you." Fu Hee said with a smile.

"I will have to thank you in advance." Jia Li said with an appreciative smile.

Fu Hee fixed her gaze back on the little girl in her arms. Jasmine kept on smacking her lips and finally moved her fingers to her mouth to suck them.

As Jasmine had her saliva on her mouth and hands, Mei pa.s.sed Jasmine's handkerchief to Fu Hee, so she could clean her little hands and mouth with it.

The more Fu Hee watched Jasmine's actions, the more she fell in love with her.

When Jia Li finished eating, she remembered that Fu Hee had not touched her snacks yet, and she immediately reminded her about it.

"Aunty, let me hold Jasmine while you eat your snacks."

Fu Hee listened to her and allowed her to take Jasmine from her arms.

"Does she cry a lot?." Fu Hee asked as she picked up her plate of healthy snacks.

"She only cries when she is hungry or needs a change of diaper." Jia Li replied.

"That's good, she is such an obedient child. I don't see Fu Hua, where is he?." Fu Hee asked after she remembered her son.

"He is working in the workshop." Jia Li answered.

Fu Hee chatted with Jia Li for a while before getting to hold her grandchild again. Before Fu Hee left, Fu Hua came downstairs.

Housekeeper Zu already alerted them that Fu Hua was coming downstairs, so Fu Hee quickly handed Jasmine over to Jia Li, and they all pretended that nothing happened.

Fu Hua glanced at them in suspicion and made his way towards them.
