Chapter 612 – Rejection

There and then, Fu Hua announced that Jia Li was going on a vacation with her friends. Fu Hee and the others relaxed as they believe that getting away for some fresh air, would help her to get a lot of things off her heart.

After dinner, Jia Li and Fu Hua took Jasmine to her bedroom, and personally bath and dressed her up for the night.

Jasmine was already sleepy when she finished bathing, but Jia Li and Fu Hua stayed with her and read a bedtime story to her, so she could fall into a deep sleep before they left.

Now back to their bedroom, Jia Li went to have a shower, and Fu Hua joined her.

"You, just keep your hands to yourself until we leave the bathroom." Jia Li said as she glanced at his hands before looking up at his face, where a mischievous smile was sitting.

"I'm serious!" Jia Li said to him with a frown.

"Why are you so scared? I will gladly wait for you to finish showering." Fu Hua whispered and started was.h.i.+ng his body. He was the first to leave the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist.

"See you in a bit." He said before disappearing from her view.

Jia Li heaved a sigh and continued to wash her body while thinking of whether to evade him this night or give in.

Knowing that it's been a while since they were together that way, she was afraid he would lavish her and wouldn't let go until she couldn't take it anymore.

After showering, Jia Li wiped the water off her body, before using a bigger towel to wrap her entire body in it. And just as she stepped out to the bathroom, she saw Fu Hua standing there with his gaze on her.

Immediately, she tried to get back into the bathroom but Fu Hua was faster than her. He pulled her arm, and she landed in his arms.

"Where do you think you're going to?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"I… I forgot something in there, so I wanted to go get it quickly." Jia Li said as she met his gaze.

Fu Hua's lips arched more as he said, "You remembered right after you saw me? That's hard for me to believe." As he finished saying that, he lifted her in his arms and carried her towards the bedroom.

"Why are you not dressed yet?" Jia Li asked. For him to be waiting for her outside the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his, neck, she wondered if he was not afraid of catching a cold.

Fu Hua's reply came immediately, "What's the point of wearing clothes when I will still take them off in a few minutes?"

Jia Li could only hug his neck and stay obediently in his arms, as he carried her away after her failed attempt to escape from his claws.

In the bedroom, Fu Hua placed her on the edge of the bed and went on to lose the towel around his waist, but Jia Li caught his hands.

"What?" Fu Hua asked with a smirk.

"Just take it easy." Jia Li said with her gaze on him.

With a gentle gaze, Fu Hua replied, "I will be gentle." Right after saying it, he leaned in to kiss her lips softly, while placing his palms on her cheeks.

Immersed in the kiss, Jia Li slowly released her hold on the towel around his waist, which slowly dropped to the floor.

That night, Fu Hua made love to Jia Li in the most gentle way ever, because he wanted to take his time to clear her troubled thoughts by making her feel loved.

He was so gentle and patient with her, that Jia Li couldn't help craving for more of his touch. As he caressed her body, she inched closer to him, wanting more.

Deep into the night, the husband and the wife got together in different ways and only relaxed in each other's arms when they were exhausted.

The two didn't get to sleep immediately. As Jia Li lay in his arms naked, they talked about their happy moments and their upcoming wedding anniversary.

"Do you want anything special?" Fu Hua asked.

"No, let's celebrate with the family on that day." Jia Li replied. She wanted something simple and for the family to join them on their joyous day, and Fu Hua agreed with her suggestion.

The next day, FangSu and Fu Meixu got a call from their respective agents, telling them of a new company that wants them to represent their products and help with the advertis.e.m.e.nt, plus being their brand amba.s.sadors.

Without knowing that the call they received was for the same purpose, they both left the house after breakfast.

When FangSu heard from her agent that it was a new company that would want her to help with the promotions from next month (September) she rejected without looking at the proposal.

"I won't have time for that, and I'm planning a big private birthday for October. I won't work for any company or organization during this period until my birthday celebration is over. I already want to finish up the work I have in my schedule and get enough time for myself."

"Susu, won't you reconsider this? This company is going to be huge. Also, they sent this proposal to your cousin, I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss out on this." Her manager said as she tried to get her to change her mind.

FangSu was not really in charge of her jobs, her manager helps her to choose, but it has to get her approval before her company signs any deal, that was how big FangSu was in the modeling industry.

When FangSu heard what her manager said, she laughed and replied, "My cousin is more difficult to please. She would never accept to work for any new company unless she has a special relations.h.i.+p with the owner. Meixu only works for big names."

Just like FangSu said, Meixu would never work for any new company that was just starting up because that was her standard unless she knew the owner and wants to do the job.
