Chapter 811

Three days pa.s.sed quickly, and Dio slept the entire time! Everyone else also spent their day resting as they were exhausted by Thanos’ sudden invasion. Even the rescue and disposal mission has been temporarily paused. 

By the way, everyone would always remember the embarra.s.sing dance they did! They have been deceived by Dio, and they would never be able to erase it from their memories! Still, some Avengers have been planning to get back at Dio, but Dio slept the entire three days, leaving them no chance to repay Dio’s ‘kindness’.

Steve would never admit to Wanda that he has planned something for Dio as Wanda has been weird lately. Wanda’s eyes kept flaring red suddenly, leaving weird sc.r.a.pping on the furniture all around the base. The Avenger couldn’t even mention the dance video near Wanda, or they would be forced to withstand the Scarlet Witch’s magic! 

Twenty-three days later, Dio finally opened his eyes slowly and found that he was lying on his bed with an IV on one of his hands, and his body was a mess! Dio immediately got up and tore off every line to his body. He then checked the number of souls he had and summoned the [World] to use its Reality Overwrite. He used it to get rid of all wounds on his body. 

“Right, the handsome me is definitely better!” Dio felt satisfied as he saw himself in the mirror. He checked Venom and found that it was still in a critical state. Obviously, the energy from the Infinity Stones caused a severe injury to Venom! Not to mention, he constantly restored Dio’s body the whole time, leaving him little to no energy to recuperate. 

Dio felt a little bit sorry for Venom, and he was thinking of returning him back to Spiderman sometime soon. 

“Well, am I just too kind?” Dio said as he sighed and pushed the door open before walking out. At the same time, the news that Dio awoke from his slumber had been broadcasted to all the Avengers as the surveillance camera captured Dio’s movement.

“Wanda!” Dio said as he immediately saw Wanda’s eyes turn red. Dio didn’t know if it was a coincidence or not, but Wanda was already standing outside his room, and as he walked out of his room, Wanda’s eyes started flickering red! Wanda was holding a wet towel in her hand. Clearly, she has been taking care of Dio since the battle ended!

“No wonder I smelled a fruity scent when I woke up!” Dio said with a smile on his face. Wanda dropped the towel on her hand and immediately rushed to Dio’s arm. Dio then held Wanda tightly, staying silent as the way it is while savoring the moment.

Steve and the others also came towards Dio’s room just to see Wanda and Dio still embracing each other. They all stopped and stepped aside to avoid interrupting the heartwarming moment. 

Two hours later, Dio met with the rest of the Avengers in the conference room. Meanwhile, Wanda was still resting well on Dio’s bed. Why would Wanda stay on Dio’s bed? Well, it was probably best to leave it to everyone’s imagination. 

As soon as Dio entered the room, Dio saw the Avengers staring at him with a teasing look in their eyes. “Well, it seems the soundproof on every room is in good condition.” Tony said teasingly. “It’s been a long time since we didn’t see each other, and you didn’t even find me first! I am sad!” Tony said teasingly. 

Dio just shrugged his shoulder with a smile on his face as he found a place to sit down. At the same time, Dio saw the 6 Infinity Stones in the middle of the table and also with Mjolnir there. 

“Now that you are awake, it is time for us to discuss how to return these items to their respective time!” Tony said seriously.

“Dr. Hank Pym is currently in production of the Pym Particles, but I don’t think we need to send as many people as we last did to send these items back,” Natasha casually said as she could finally rest right now. 

Everyone nodded their head as they also thought the same thing. 

“Well, I wonder if we really have to send these Infinity Stones back to their time!” Dio said as he suddenly broke the silence.

“What do you mean?” Steve asked as he was surprised by Dio’s words. Everyone also showed the same reaction as they stared puzzly toward Dio.

“I mean what I said. We shouldn’t influence the past too much! According to the traversal theory we have understood before, even if we return these items, we would still create a parallel universe with unknown consequences. Even if we return these items, their time wouldn’t be back on track!” Dio said solemnly.

There are too many variables that were still a mystery regarding the time travel consequences, and thus it was better not to tweak the past too much! ‘You shouldn’t play with time unless you’re ready when time plays with you‘. This was a word that kept lingering on Tony’s mind lately. 

“Dio, I understand what you are enquiring about, but we shouldn’t keep such a dangerous thing like this! Although we might already have an irreversible effect on our timeline, we have to do what is right!” Steve said honestly. 

“Well, you can do anything you want. I am just giving you a suggestion. You would be the one to decide what you want to do with those items!” Dio said casually. But Dio realised he wasn’t fit to sit here with the heroes as he had a different way of thinking! 

“Just let me do it, I will send everything to where it should be!” Steve said solemnly. 

Dio just nodded his head as he couldn’t stop it from happening. But from the looks on everyone else’s faces, it seemed they never expected Steve to put himself on the line.
