Chapter 820

“What the h.e.l.l is that? Is it a monster?” Dio laughed while watching the Tv.

“Who is that? Mysterio? That is a weird name and even a weirder dress!” Wanda said as she couldn’t help but laugh too. 

“I don’t know who that is, but we have retired anyway. Let the young ones do their things.” Dio said as he munched the popcorn that Wanda brought earlier.

“Do you think the monster could be dealt with by an ordinary guy?” Wanda asked curiously.

“Don’t worry, that strange guy with a fish tank would be able to do something about them. I have seen what he could do on the news before.” Dio said casually. A video immediately played on the news, looking over Spiderman, that was swinging around the building, trying to fight the water monster.

“Peter!” Wanda said surprisedly. 

“Look at that! The Little Spider is also there! There should be no problem they couldn’t handle!” Dio said casually. 

“This is just another trivial matter, right? There would be nothing going wrong!” Wanda asked a little hesitantly.

“Are there any casualties? A monster like this is a little hard to predict as we don’t know what its goal would be. Still, would you be able to take care of that monster in one minute?” Dio asked curiously.

“1 minute? 10 seconds would be enough for me! I will round it up and throw it into the sewer!” Wanda said proudly. 

“You are amazing! But, compared to the troubles we had in the past, this water monster is just a child’s play! Nevertheless, it is good for Peter to get a better experience. And Pietro is on his run across the European countries, too, right? He may help them if he comes across them later.” Dio said with a smile on his face.

Wanda nodded and sighed a little bit as he was truly worried about Peter’s safety for a moment there. Pietro was with Mantis, and although Mantis couldn’t do much in combat, her power combined with Pietro was quite amazing. 

At the same time, a knock was heard outside of the villa. Dio and Wanda looked at each other as they didn’t expect any guest to come right now.

“Is the stealth mode turned off?” Dio asked curiously.

“Maybe it’s just Pietro dropping by,” Wanda said hopefully.

“Yeah, it may be him. Well, I will go out and see who it is.” Dio said as he walked towards the door and opened it, but once he opened the door, he was surprised to see who it was. At first, Dio thought that he saw an illusion, but certainly, that wasn’t the case at all.

“Sorry if my sudden appearance surprised you, but I don’t have any malicious intent! Can you help me do a simple hemostatic treatment?” The familiar figure said hopefully. Dio just nodded blankly, and then he saw a familiar guy faint behind the familiar figure in the front. 

“Dio, what’s wrong? Who’s there?” Wanda’s voice was heard from inside.

“A troublesome costumer!” Dio said as he carried the fainted guy into the guest room with a frown on his face. He wasn’t looking forward to doing something like this in his afternoon! But still, he wants to know what happened for them to come here!

The news reported the damage caused by the water monster in Venice after it was defeated by Mysterio and Spiderman. Mysterio’s name spread out to the entire world instantly as people started to think that he was the next leader of the heroes. 

It has only been 8 months since Thanos was defeated, and nowadays, people were extremely sensitive and delusional. The ma.s.ses worry about aliens, demons, and many other intelligent life forms out there that could pose a threat to Earth. So, the water monster’s attack immediately brought the world’s attention to Venice as many people fell into panic.

The Avengers had disappeared and disbanded, and the people were now desperate for other superheroes to come forward and announce that they would protect the Earth. The emergence of Mysterio ignited the excitement and hope inside these people’s hearts. Furthermore, the people knew that Spiderman wasn’t ready to take the post of being the beacon of the Earth! 

Tony also watched the news in silence, but once he saw the clock, he turned off the Tv and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner for his family. But Tony definitely felt something was off from that Mysterio guy as he definitely thought that the guy was familiar in some way.

Still, it wasn’t his problem now. It was more important for him to make a nutritious and delicious meal for his family!

“Dad! Mom said that if you make mashed potatoes again for dinner, you won’t be sleeping on the bed tonight!” Morgan shouted as she ran to the kitchen barefooted before hugging Tony’s leg.

She raised her head and smiled at Tony with blinking eyes as if she had just said the harshest words in the world with her innocent and lovely tone.

“Alright! No mashed potatoes tonight. So, how about we eat corn soup instead? With a slice of ham and bacon? Daddy would also make my favorite burger!” Tony said in a baby tone.

“I still want ice cream!” Morgan said ignorantly.

“Okay, we will get you one, but promise me not to tell your mother about it!” Tony said, cuddling Morgan for a little while. Morgan just happily smiled as she got to eat ice cream tonight.

At the same time, Peter and the others that experienced the water monster’s attack firsthand finally returned to their hotel. The teenage kids started talking about the water monster they saw and Mysterio and Spiderman too!

Peter that was physically and mentally exhausted ended his call with Aunt May early and rested in his room immediately while Ned followed him closely from behind.

“What are you going to do about that monster?” Ned asked curiously.

“Nothing, because it’s already dead, Ned! Besides, Mysterio could definitely handle the situation on his own. I just want to be with MJ and you guys for now!” Peter said tiredly. 

“Well, I hope everything goes well with your love confession tomorrow, just like Betty and me!” Ned said as he opened Peter’s door, but as he took a few steps inside, he suddenly collapsed and fainted on the sofa. 

Peter was surprised and immediately turned around only to see Nick Fury sitting on a chair behind the door with a tranquilizer gun in his hand. 

“It is really hard to find you these days, Spiderman!” Nick Fury said solemnly.

“What? Did you just shoot Ned with that gun?” Peter said accusatively. 

“It’s just a tranquilizer. He would wake up in a few hours, feeling refreshed! Now, I heard about you from various people, but I haven’t got the chance to meet you in person before as I was also turned into dust by the snap! Which I also knew you also experienced the same stuff!” Nick said solemnly.

“Yes, it was an awful experience! But fortunately, we are all back!” Peter said as he took out his toothbrush and brushed his teeth in the sink while wondering why Nick Fury came to see him in person like this.
