Chapter 41.2 - Mech training
Iman bid farewell to Ludwig, and followed Luo Fei and the others to the mech training room.
Fengyang Group develops intelligent mechs for civilian use, mostly for practical functions, such as cleaning, cooking, and helping the owner organize furniture, etc. Home mechs do not have combat capabilities, and Mo Han is not familiar with combat either.
But the mechs in the military academy are different. These mechs are all intelligent combat mechs.
These combat mechs are made of special materials. Their hard metal sh.e.l.l glows brightly under the light. Ordinary knives and guns cannot penetrate this sh.e.l.l at all. Only electromagnetic knives, electromagnetic guns, and other weapons used to destroy fighter jets can scratch the outer sh.e.l.l.
Mo Han looked at the two-meter-high humanoid mech in front of him, his eyes were full of curiosity.
Luo Fei walked to him with a smile: “Do you want to go up and try?”
Mo Han really wanted to go, but he still asked calmly: “I’m not a military student, can I operate a mech myself?”
Luo Fei said: “It doesn’t matter, these are the lowest C-cla.s.s mechs, which can be observed and operated. Higher-level mechs cannot be shown to outsiders. Even if us military students want to control B-cla.s.s and above mechs, they must be checked out and approved first.”
As he spoke, he gently grabbed Mo Han’s arm and said, “Come with me.”
Mo Han had no choice but to follow him.
Because he only wore a thin s.h.i.+rt today, Mo Han could clearly feel Luo Fei’s slender and strong fingers, and the forearm that was held felt slightly hot.
Ignoring the strange feeling in his heart, Mo Han followed Luo Fei to an independent mech training room, and boarded the c.o.c.kpit of a red mech.
The c.o.c.kpit of the C-cla.s.s mech is relatively narrow, but there is a driver’s seat and a co-pilot’s seat. The two sat side by side. Mo Han looked down at the c.o.c.kpit, and saw a blue fluorescent screen, as well as some densely packed complicated keys he didn’t understand at all.
Luo Fei carefully introduced it to Mo Han: “The one we are driving is a land mech. On the left are the action command b.u.t.tons for forward, backward, falling, rolling, jumping, etc. and the mech balance bar. The right is the weapon console. It’s equipped with electromagnetic knives, guns, smoke grenades, and tear gas grenades. The driver must control the mech’s movement and launch attacks at the same time.”
While speaking, Luo Fei opened the simulation function of the training room.
The screen in front of them changed immediately, and the two drove the mech into a primeval jungle.
Not far away, a ferocious alien beast rushed towards them. Luo Fei quickly pressed a few keys with his left hand, and pulled hard with his right hand at the same time. The mech suddenly took out a huge electromagnetic knife slashed down on the head of the strange beast!
With a scream of “aw”, the strange beast crashed to the ground.
Luo Fei continued to control the mech to run deep into the forest. The surrounding scenery changed rapidly, the tall trees quickly retreated from the sides, and even the clear whoosh of the wind was audible.
The mech is like a giant, running vigorously in the jungle.
Countless alien beasts were alarmed and came from all directions. Luo Fei’s mech nimbly shuttled among the alien beasts, raised his knife in his hand, and directly swept a path of blood with the electromagnetic knife!
Sitting in the pa.s.senger seat, Mo Han was so shocked that he was speechless!
The simulation is very realistic, as if he and Luo Fei were truly driving through a jungle full of giant beasts. The ferocious eyes and terrifying fangs of those beasts seemed to be right in front of them. Just now, a beast directly slapped Luo Fei’s mech with its sharp claws, making the two of them dizzy. Fortunately, Luo Fei reacted in time, immediately stabilized the mech, rolling on the spot to avoid the attack, and used the electromagnetic knife to counter-kill!
When the beast was beheaded, bright red blood was sprayed directly on the screen in front of the mech console.
This is much more exciting than the holographic game “Law of the Jungle” they played.
In Law of the Jungle, since players shoot with guns, the game will not make the creatures too powerful, otherwise it will be difficult for players to shoot, ruining the game experience. Also, a huge creature over three meters tall like this one will scare players.
But real combat training is different. For example, the creature Luo Fei encountered just now is a legendary beast with strong attack power from the planet Nolan, called “blood lion”. On the internet, it’s said these blood lions average more than three meters tall, their attack power is extremely strong, their running speed is not even inferior to that of a hover car, and they can swallow a human being alive in one gulp.
When humans mine minerals on the planet Nolan, they will inevitably encounter various alien creatures. Human beings are definitely no match for giant creatures, and must rely on combat mechs. Only in this way, when surrounded by alien creatures, can they protect themselves.
Students in the military academy will train in these simulations to prepare for future actual combat.
The real planet will only be more terrifying, and one mistake can cost them their lives.
The mech was almost overturned by another giant beast, Luo Fei quickly stabilized the mech, slid sideways to avoid the sharp claws of the beast, then spun around to fight the opponent.
Mo Han looked back, and found that Luo Fei’s expression was unusually focused. His eyes were fixed on the screen in front of him, his left hand quickly controlled the mech to run, jump, turn, and roll, and the electromagnetic knife in his right hand was used to fight back and counter-kill.
Mo Han has never seen such a serious Luo Fei before.
The lines of his side face are as resolute as a knife, and his facial features are sharp and angular, which is even more heroic with the backdrop of the military uniform.
At this time, he is like an imperial soldier fighting on the front line, fighting desperately to escape from the encirclement of alien beasts…
Mo Han stared at him blankly, completely unable to connect him with the childish, sticky First Prince.
It turns out that he also has a ferocious and resolute side.
He is not just a simple pampered rich prince, but also an imperial soldier who can use a battle mech at any time when necessary and go to the front lines.
He was so handsome that Mo Han couldn’t take his eyes off him.
It also made Mo Han realize that his understanding of the First Prince was indeed too shallow.
…
After an unknown amount of time, the training program finally came to an end, and the terrifying forest quickly disappeared, replaced by the training room with bright and clean windows.
Mo Han seemed to have woken from a dream.
After taking a deep breath and regaining consciousness, Mo Han asked, “Is your usual training so intense?”
Just sitting in the pa.s.senger seat is already so intense. The attacks of alien creatures almost never stopped. It is too difficult to keep calm and control the mech calmly in such a state of running, jumping, and tumbling around.
Luo Fei turned his head, met Mo Han’s gaze, and smiled slightly. “This is just the most basic training. The intensity of the a.s.sessment is at least five times higher than this.”
Mo Han: “…”
Five times higher? Then it’s not nightmare mode, but h.e.l.l mode, right?
Mo Han couldn’t help but say, “Amazing.”
Luo Fei said: “Our training has always been perverted, because many graduates will join the major armies of the Empire, and may perform missions on the front line. They can’t joke about the lives of themselves and their teammates. Therefore, the training is especially brutal, so that when completing tasks in the future, they can guarantee their own survival in the future.”
“However, such high-intensity training is a burden on both physical and mental strength. Is it hard to train like this every day?” Mo Han asked.
“You get used to it.” Luo Fei said with a smile.
“…” Mo Han was silent for a few seconds, and looked at Luo Fei with some doubts. “You practice every day, and still have the energy to play holographic games at night? Are you not tired?”
“I want to see you.” Luo Fei looked at Mo Han with serious and affectionate eyes. “Whenever I see and spend more time with you in the game, I will be very happy and satisfied. It doesn’t matter how tired I am.”
This simple and straightforward sentence touched Mo Han’s heart.
Many people have chased him before, but Luo Fei is definitely the most attentive one.
Mo Han sighed softly in his heart, and suddenly felt a little pity. If he didn’t have a complicated family situation and was disguised as an alpha, but a very ordinary, very ordinary person, maybe he could consider trying to be with Luo Fei…
Wait, what the h.e.l.l is he thinking?
A chill suddenly ran down Mo Han’s spine, and he immediately drove away the strange thoughts that popped up in his mind.
Luo Fei is really a good person, handsome, decisive in dealing with things, but as the First Prince, he is able to endure hards.h.i.+ps, and is also very sincere to him.
But this does not mean that he can accept Luo Fei.
He doesn’t want to be the prince’s consort. It’s best not to think about it anymore, and stay rational and sober.
Mo Han took a deep breath, ignoring the disturbing thoughts in his mind, and said lightly: “Thank you for the thrilling and exciting experience. It’s getting late, I should go back to school soon.”
Luo Fei looked at him reluctantly and said, “Why don’t you stay a little longer? I can teach you how to operate a battle mech.”
Mo Han was a little upset, and immediately refused: “No need, Frank and I will go back first. Iman said he would stay here, please take care of him.”
Luo Fei had no choice but to stop, and said with a smile: “Well, if you want to learn this kind of mech, you can come to me anytime.”
***
On the way back, Mo Han’s mind was a little confused.
Too many things happened today, which completely changed his impression of Luo Fei. He no longer knew how to get along with Luo Fei, and was in a hurry to return.
Yes, he left the military academy in a hurry.
This is completely different from his usual calm and rational way of doing things.
Probably because Luo Fei’s military uniform caught his eyes, and the mech combat training was too dangerous that they only narrowly escaped death several times, so he was distracted for a while.
Mo Han lightly clenched his fists to calm himself down.
He has to be firm in his beliefs. No matter what Luo Fei says or does, he will not be shaken!
Hehehe~ Mo Han is starting to fall and in denial.
