The car quickly headed toward the direction of A High.

Anhao sat quietly in the pa.s.senger seat. She did not even bother asking Yi Zeyang the question: Have you considered it?

She did not see the need to ask him that question anymore because it seemed as though he had already given her a silent answer after returning to the country.

He was already engaged to another woman.

That was the most direct answer that he could ever give her.

Moreover, he did not even include her name in the banquet list for his engagement.

Yi Zeyang planned to walk her to her bedroom after parking the silver-grey Mercedes-Benz in front of the school entrance. However, Gu Anhao rejected him immediately.

Anhao used one single sentence to prevent Yi Zeyang from stopping her from being willful.

“I am going to repeat myself one more time. If you care about me at all, then you will allow me to retain any remaining dignity and self-esteem that I still have. My face is fine. I will recover after a few days. Please just leave me alone from now on. Thank you!”

As soon as she was done speaking, Anhao pushed the car door open before she got out of the car.

Yi Zeyang’s outstretched hand froze in midair as he stared at Gu Anhao’s back. After getting out of the car, Anhao rolled her fingers into a fist as she focused on walking straight even though she was already drunk.

The cold wind blew at her and a very seriously drunk Anhao suddenly felt as though she had just woken up from Yi Zeyang’s tight slap.

When the wind blew against her body again, Anhao felt as though the alcohol was taking over her body. She did not want to fall unconscious on the ground because she would be seen as a joke on campus. Therefore, she tried to keep herself calm as she tried walking toward her bedroom in a straight line.

When the silver-grey Mercedes-Benz finally left, a black Bentley suddenly appeared before parking across the street outside the entrance of A High.

Strange!

Anhao walked for a while as she looked down at her feet.

She was obviously walking in a straight line but somehow, she was not walking toward the direction of the dormitory. After looking at her surroundings, Anhao suddenly realized that she was in fact walking toward the grove. Anhao raised her hand before rubbing it against her forehead and turning around to walk back toward the direction of the dormitory.

She had only taken a few steps when her cell phone started ringing. She anxiously picked up her phone and answered the call without even looking at the caller ID. She placed the phone against her ear as she said impatiently, “h.e.l.lo?”

“I will give you two minutes to come out,” Zuo Hancheng said over the other end of the line.

Anhao’s eyes widened in amazement as soon as she heard his voice. After that, she looked to her left and right in a daze.

Come out? Where should she go?

After looking at the gate at the entrance of the school, Anhao finally realized where Zuo Hancheng wanted her to go.

Anhao shook her head because she was starting to feel even dizzier. After hanging up the phone, Anhao started walking toward the school gate as she thought about the cool and irresistible tone over the other end of the phone.

After walking out of the school gate, Anhao did not see anyone there and she initially thought that she was hallucinating because she had drunk too much earlier. She even thought that she had drunk-dialed Zuo Hancheng.

Anhao raised her hand to her forehead as she turned around, intending to head back to her dormitory. At this time, she suddenly noticed a car that was parked across the road. She felt that the black Bentley looked extremely familiar. Zuo Hancheng was standing outside the car, dressed in a long black trench coat. He was casually leaning against the side of his car as he had one hand inserted in his trousers’ pocket, the cold wind blowing against him.

As he was standing directly under the streetlamp, she could not see the expression on his face and all that she could see was his vague shadow.

Seriously! No matter how handsome or superior this man was, did he not know that it was really awkward and scary for him to be standing there in the dark? This was especially so because the school was empty in the middle of the night and it had been raining heavily just a short while ago.

Anhao rolled her eyes before she walked toward that man.

Gu Anhao focused on walking in a straight line and keeping herself steady because she did not want to embarra.s.s herself in front of Zuo Hancheng.

After walking over to him, Anhao could finally see Zuo Hancheng’s face clearly. She stood in front of him as she tried to suppress the pain and dizziness in her head. After a brief moment, she asked, “What do you want? Why are you waiting in front of the entrance of my school in the middle of the night?”

Zuo Hancheng glanced at her and he could immediately tell that she had been drinking. However, before he started questioning her, he looked at the red and swollen palm mark on her left cheek. When the cold wind blew, Anhao s.h.i.+vered and she felt as though her head was hurting more and more.

Zuo Hancheng raised his brows as he stared at the girl who was clearly drunk. He could see the red mark on her left cheek clearly as she tried to keep her body straight under the s.h.i.+ne of the streetlamp.

“Why aren’t you heeding any of my words at all? Why did you go drinking?”

Zuo Hancheng placed his hand around her waist as he opened his car door before tucking her into the car.

His act of pus.h.i.+ng her into the car was almost the same as Yi Zeyang, and since he used quite a bit of strength, Anhao hit her head against a hard box inside the car. She whimpered as soon as she felt her head hurting, and she held her head in her hands as she yelled, “It hurts…”

Zuo Hancheng ignored her cries and her grievances as he closed the car door behind her. After getting into the driver’s seat, he realized that Gu Anhao was already mildly unconscious as she sat in the pa.s.senger seat. Zuo Hanchneg reached out and pushed her so that she was leaning against the car seat. “Sit properly.”

“What are you trying to do?” Anhao asked as she held her head in her hands. She stared at him in a daze as though she was remembering something.

“Weren’t you accompanying your new girlfriend at Deways Hotel earlier? Why did you come here to look for me? Do you really enjoy abusing me? Are you really addicted to bullying me?”

There was an expression of sadness on Gu Anhao’s face as she continued rubbing her head. Her left cheek was red and swollen, and there were traces of blood on the corner of her lips.

Zuo Hancheng raised his brow as he reached out his hand and stroked her face gently. “I really do not understand how you can have the mood to drink after getting hit. Gu Anhao, you are really amazing.”

“Yes!” Gu Anhao replied as she suddenly raised her hand. After that, she yelled out in pain as she pushed his hand away. “It hurts! Don’t touch my cheek!”

“Why are you drinking when you are already hurting? Do you not want your face anymore?” Zuo Hancheng asked as he stared at her in a cold manner before driving off in the dark.

Anhao leaned against the car window as she whispered, “I did something really shameless tonight…”

After that, she smiled as she lifted her head before she continued, “But it did not feel like a dream at all. It felt like a nightmare instead. Hahaha…”

Zuo Hancheng ignored her gibberish and the smirk on her face. He continued driving all the way back to Giltview Gardens.

After getting off the car, Anhao clung tightly onto Zuo Hancheng, as though she was an octopus, as he dragged her into the house. After entering the house, he threw the drunk Anhao onto the sofa. Anhao opened her eyes and smiled before pointing her finger at him. “You! Come, come over here. Do a striptease for me! Come, I will give you a tip!”

Zuo Hancheng was taking off his black trench coat at that exact moment, and he turned to look at her as soon as he heard her words.

When Gu Anhao saw that he was unimpressed, she felt around in her own bag for a short while before she finally took out a five yuan note and placed it on the coffee table in front of her in an arrogant manner. “Here! I will pay you! You can start performing now!”

When Zuo Hancheng saw the five yuan note on the coffee table, he could only stare blankly at her as he knitted his brows together.
