Chapter 809: Zuo Hancheng, Don’t Sleep (1)
All of a sudden, Anhao stepped on something slippery. The next moment, she felt a sharp pain in her ankle. She endured the strange pain and took out a spare blanket and a mini first aid kit from the trunk.
Anhao’s ankle was aching and itchy, but the faint rumbling sounds coming from behind her made her not dare to stay any longer. After closing the trunk, she lifted her foot and kicked it a few more times. Unfortunately, the strength of her kick was far from the effect of the stone, but it was too late. She quickly carried the things in her hands and walked to Zuo Hancheng. She raised her hand and grabbed his arm.”Let’s go!”
Zuo Hancheng glanced at Anhao’s face and then at the thing in her hand.””Ann…”
“Stop talking nonsense and don’t chase me away.” Anhao didn’t give him a chance to speak and supported him.
After Zuo Hancheng left the tree trunk behind him, he could not walk alone because he was too seriously injured. His weight was almost on her body. Although he knew what the consequences would be, and Anhao knew it herself, she held his hand tightly and did not let him move away. She helped him through the tall gra.s.s that could not see the ground clearly and walked forward carefully.
As she walked, she turned her head back to check if there were any obvious traces of blood. If there were any obvious traces of blood, she would reach behind her to wipe them.
Just like that, they walked for an unknown amount of time until they were completely exhausted. Anhao looked at the tall forest in front of them.
However, she heard a rumbling sound behind her. Those cars must have already driven in.
At the same time, there was a clap of thunder in the sky. Anhao subconsciously glanced at Zuo Hancheng. Both of them were already injured. If Zuo Hancheng’s wound was drenched in the rain, both of them would probably die.
Anhao quickly helped him turn around and walked to the foot of a deep concave mountain in front of them. There were a lot of bushes here, so if they didn’t walk in like this, they wouldn’t have noticed the deep concave at the foot of the mountain.
In the deep depression, there was a place that was slanted to the foot of the mountain, which could only accommodate two or three people, but it was just enough to shelter them from the rain.
The rain came fast and fast, and the wind was blowing. Zuo Hancheng could barely move anymore. Anhao had to drag her to the bottom of the valley. Then, she hurriedly tidied up the gra.s.s that they had walked through before someone found the traces.
Although the rain was sudden and made people feel unlucky, if the rain was heavier, if those people found the b.u.t.ton to explode the car, the whole mountain would not be burned down even if the car exploded in the heavy rain. At least, they would be able to keep their lives.
Anhao helped Zuo Hancheng to sit properly in the room. The blood stains on Zuo Hancheng’s body had already dyed her white dress red. She placed the things in her hands at the innermost position and tidied the gra.s.s in front of the dent to block the rain that was blown in by the wind. The room was very clean now. Anhao was about to reach out to take off Zuo Hancheng’s clothes to check on his injuries when she suddenly felt inexplicably dizzy.
She fell forward weakly and knelt beside Zuo Hancheng’s leg. She placed her hand on his leg and Zuo Hancheng, who was about to lose consciousness, opened his eyes and looked at her because of her strange behavior.
Anhao tried her best to ignore the dizziness in her head. She moved her hand away from his leg and raised her hand. However, she felt her fingers inexplicably numb. She rubbed her fingers twice and saw that Zuo Hancheng was looking at her. She pretended that nothing was wrong and unb.u.t.toned his blood-stained black s.h.i.+rt. When she saw the wounds on his shoulder and the explosion, Anhao’s gaze fell again.
When she saw the wound on his abdomen that was almost close to his waist, Anhao could almost imagine how Zuo Hancheng had avoided this fatal gunshot wound.
He must have spun his body to dodge the bullet. Otherwise, the bullet wouldn’t have cut half of his abdomen, and the wound was so deep.
“Should I be glad that this bullet didn’t directly pierce through your abdomen? Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll be a widow from now on.”Anhao muttered to herself before turning around to open the first aid kit. Although the box was small, it was a small first aid kit with everything inside. There were even compressed biscuits in the corner.
Now Anhao was sure that D and the others had been through life and death in the underworld for many years. They were definitely experienced.
Not only was there a gun in the car prepared for her, but there was also a first aid kit with small compressed biscuits. If it wasn’t for the fact that she had experienced many life and death situations, she would never have prepared these things in the car.
Anhao took out two disinfectant wet towels from the box and wiped the skin around Zuo Hancheng’s wound.
Zuo Hancheng sat still as if he could not feel any pain. He just looked at her weakly with his eyes open. He did not speak or close his eyes to rest.
Anhao wished that Zuo Hancheng could stay awake, so she deliberately applied more force to his hand. If it was painful, at least he could keep his mind active. Under such circ.u.mstances, it would be terrible if Zuo Hancheng fell asleep.
“The wound on your shoulder is also a gunshot wound?” Anhao raised her head to look at his shoulder, only to realize that the bullet hadn’t pierced through.””Is there a bullet inside?”
Zuo Hancheng did not answer her. She did not know if he had lost all his strength, but he continued to stare at her.
Anhao actually realized that he actually felt like he was taking a second look at her. Anger instantly rose in her heart. She used more and more force as she wiped the wound on his shoulder until he finally frowned from the pain. She then said with red eyes,”Zuo Hancheng, if you’re planning to let me live on, I’ll run out now and lure those people in. At most, we’ll all die!”
Zuo Hancheng’s face turned pale from the force of her pressure. His eyes swept across her face, and it was clear that his understanding of her ruthlessness had been refreshed again and again.
Anhao didn’t care about him. She rubbed his shoulder with her hand and checked the wound carefully before saying,””I haven’t studied medicine, so I can’t just randomly take out the bullet. Although there are scissors in the first aid kit, if I cut open the wound, it will probably cause a more serious outcome. I’ll disinfect your wound first.”
“I’m fine.” Zuo Hancheng did not answer her. Instead, he said in a very soft and hoa.r.s.e voice,””Take care of the injury on your back first.”
