Hi guys, starting off my spring break (it’s only a week, probably won’t get much done HAHA) with a web novel. Honestly, I just went through alphapolis and clicked a random one with a nice t.i.tle. So, if people like it and I like it, I’ll keep going. Or I’ll find something new. Anyways, it’s pretty cute. Here’s the first chapter.

On other news, Pin to Kona has not been worked on at all, GOMEN. I’ve been working lazily on Chou yo Hana yo, but haven’t gotten much done cuz it’s sorta hard to scanlate yaoi at school without getting weird looks. It’ll get done! I’m thinking I’ll probably do another web novel since they’re short, and I have low endurance. Have a nice week!

Summary 

There was an order of knights that were called the strongest in a certain country.

A certain person asked, “As I thought, the strongest one is the leader right?” but was unpredictably told, “No, it’s the cook.”

Chapter 1 

This is the country, Falmir (ファールミル).

It’s the largest country of the continent. The reason why it has become the largest country in the continent is because of the existence of a certain order of knights (*kis.h.i.+dan – order of knights).

There is not a person who does not know of them in that country.

To the point that every child dreams and says, “When I become older, I want to enter that order of knights!”

They’re called the Lint Bloom (リントブルム) Kis.h.i.+dan.

There are about 50 members.

From n.o.bles to orphans, there are people with a variety of backgrounds in this order.

And of course, there are high-borns that do not think of that as a good thing.

The Lint Bloom Kis.h.i.+dan is currently in the middle of a war.

The enemy country Antu (アンチュー) is the second largest country in the continent and very warlike. This is because they attack many small countries, incorporate them, and grow larger.

「Gimlu (ギムル)-danchou!」(*danchou – leader / captain)

「What is it Loki (ロキ)?」

The man called Loki is the order’s vice captain.

「Food’s ready! It’s time to eat!」

「Nn? Oh, is the food done?」

「Yeah, I hear it’s steak today!」

「What! I’ve never thought I would be able to eat steak on the battlefield. Good, let’s go tell everyone it’s time to eat.」

「Roger that!」

After a short time, it became loud with chatter as people gathered to the center of the campground.

The cook came out from the tent and said a few words.

「Um, today is steak and bread. Of course, to get energy, we need meat, so I went and hunted for some.」

「Ooh!!」

Everyone raised their voices in astonishment.

That’s right. Normally, when leaving the country for a battlefield, all the food will quickly rot and generally everyone will have to eat dried meat and hard rye bread.

「Okay, everyone has a portion so please line up」

Everyone lined up neatly and got their steak and bread.

The chef appeared in front where the food was being handed out.

「Now let’s give our thanks for this food… Itadakimasu!」

「Itadakimasu!」

「The meat juices, my G.o.d-」

「I’ve never eaten such a steak even at home」

「More than anything, it is delicious.」

The chef’s name is Kio (キオ).

「Kio, what kind of meat is this?」,

asked the leader.

「Yes, not so far from here, there was a dragon so I hunted it. Well, it was small though.」

「Eh! …D- D- Dragon, you said~!?」

That’s right, dragons are the world’s strongest race. They have the power to destroy a small country in an instant.

「Yes, it’s dragon. Dragon steak.」

It is a creature that is almost at the intelligence level of a genius. A regular person, no, not even royalty would be able to eat such a priceless thing. Even a small one would be worth a nation’s budget.

Of course not only the meat, but it is said that dragon’s scales are harder than any metal, flexible, and impermeable to heat. If you sold even one scale, you can live playing around for several years.

You cannot help but be surprised at a person who has caught such an animal.

「D- Did you say that to someone?」

「No, I didn’t to say it to anyone but…」

「You can only speak about that to me, Vice Captain Loki, and the other captains, okay?」

「Ah, yes. I understand.」

The only one that does not seem to understand seems to be…

「By the way, what did you do with the scales and the bones?」

「I buried them somewhere over there.」

「O- Oh, I see. Well, I guess that’s fine.」

After a few decades, an orphaned girl saved an injured dog. That dog barked at the place where the hole was dug up and they found the dragon’s scales and bones. She used the money to build orphanages around the world and was said to be a saintly woman that saved the poor and needy. Right before she died, that saint said 「That was a blessing given from G.o.d.」.
