It’s lucky that both mother and child are saved.

The operating surgeon sighs: “Luckily we can save them, if not we might be in a bad and hard situation.”

“Why?” The nurse is confused.

“She is…..” The operating surgeon wants to answer but he seems to remember something. He just shakes his head. “Nothing, do the follow up check up and keep observing her.”

In a deep night.

Ji Yi stays to watch the child for a while and pays for the fees. Then she returns to the waiting room outside of the delivery room. Jing Bo Yuan is there too.

“There’s no use of waiting here, you guys should go home and rest. I and Pa will stay here and keep on monitoring of the situation.”

It’s already a daybreak.

“I also will stay here. Xiao Xi is a woman. You guys are men, it’ll be inconvenient.” Ji Yi suggests.

“Ma, you can go back and rest. Let me stay here and take care of her.” Jing Fen Fen says; “You are not young anymore, it’s not good to stay late at night. I can do it.”

“Okay.” Ji Yi feels that her head is about to explode, today indeed there’re too many things going on. “Ma, Wen Ren Shen Shen (Old Madame Wen Ren) let’s go home first. Sleep and come back here tomorrow morning.”

“I’ll not leave.” Old Madame Wen Ren says: “I want to wait till Xiao Xi comes out. My daughter is still inside, how can I leave?”

Several of them persuade the elders so finally Old Madame Wen Ren and Old Madame Jing go home to have a rest.

Ye Qing Xin and several others also come back to Jing family residence. It’s already 02:00 a.m. she feels so tired. She looks at the kids for a while and goes to sleep.

At 06:00 a.m., she is awake because of the crying sound of the baby.

Nian Nian and Zhao Zhao are hungry. Ye Qing Xin is too tired. Someone knocks on the door and she says: “Come in.”

w.a.n.g Yi, Sun Yi, and Li Yi comes inside and brings the bottle of milk for the baby.

The triplet are seven month old. Their appet.i.te are bigger than before. Ye Qing Xin has difficulty to produce milk to support for their appet.i.te. It’s not enough to feed the three babies so now they drink baby powder milk too.

The triplet sits down side-by-side on their bed. They are holding the bottle and drinking the milk. They are satisfied.

Ye Qing Xin goes to get ready. The time she is done, the triplet have finished their milk. Nian Nian and Zhao Zhao are unwilling to let go of the bottle, they keep on holding to it while w.a.n.g Yi and Li Yi put on the pants for them.

Mu Mu has put down his bottle. He looks at Ye Qing Xin, he is watching her for a while and then he smiles cutely.

Ye Qing Xin comes over. “Let me put the pants on for him.”

Sun Yi moves aside. Mu Mu keeps on watching his mother. He looks happy.

Ye Qing Xin let him lays down and helps him put it on.

“Ay’–” Nian Nian looks that Mama helps his Di Di, and snorts at her. He looks like he is protesting. He lets go of the bottle and extends both of his arms to Ye Qing Xin as a sign for Ye Qing Xin to hold him.

Ye Qing Xin’s heart melts. She feels all her worries are gone just by looking at her kids. She is faced with another trouble, she doesn’t know who should she hold. Everyone is cute.

Jing Bo Yuan gets inside the room. Ye Qing Xin is holding Nian Nian and getting ready to go down. She notices the tired Jing Bo Yuan so she pa.s.ses Nian Nian to w.a.n.g Yi and says: “Take them to go down first.”

The three nannies take the triplet down.

The time the door is closed, Ye Qing Xin asks. “How is the condition at the hospital?”

Today is the first day of the lunar year, Jing family should be full of joy……

“Er Shu is still inside the operating room to wait the doctor from America. Er Shen and the child are in stable condition.” Jing Bo Yuan tidies up Ye Qing Xin’s collar and pats her shoulder. “Though we have bad event this year, but we still pa.s.s the year. Go down stair and eat breakfast. Then pa.s.s the red envelope to everyone.”

“Em, have a rest.”

Ye Qing Xin goes out of the room. Inside the living room, there are Ye Lin, Ye Qing Guo, and triplets. Everyone else are still sleeping. The maids knows that Jing family has experienced a rough start for the New Year so the atmosphere is quite tense.

Ye Qing Xin takes out the prepared red envelope from a cupboard and claps her hand. “Everyone, though our family has experienced a bit of trouble. But this year I hope that everyone can pa.s.s this year happily. Guan Jia (butler), these are red envelope everyone. Please distribute it to everyone. Everyone has their own part.”

“Thank you Tai Tai.” The maids are thankful.

“Biao Sao, do I still have my part?” Ye Lin raises up his head and look at her.

Ye Qing Xin smiles: “Last night I gave it one to you.”

Ye Lin blushes: “I just ask again.”

Ye Qing Guo suddenly makes a noise: “You lose again, how can you be so stupid?”

He hasn’t finished his shooting but the production company gives five days off for the actors and actresses.

Ye Lin and Ye Qing Guo are playing a simple game. Because Ye Lin is paying attention to Ye Qing Xi, he loses the game.

Ye Qing Xin just smiles and lets both boys play by themselves.

After the breakfast, Ye Qing Xin goes upstair to take her own coat. Jing Bo Yuan is sleeping so she goes out of the room with effort to make a light noise. Old Madame Jing and Ji Yi are awake and getting ready to go to the hospital. Three of them go together.

Inside Wen Ren Xi’s sickroom.

Jing Fen Fen is laying down on the sofa and covering her body with the blanket.

Three of them open the door and it wakes her up. Looking at they are her own family, she just continues her sleep.

Wen Ren Xi hasn’t wake up so Ji Yi stays inside the sickroom. Ye Qing Xin and Old Madame Jing go to the pediatric department to visit the child.

They only see the baby from the gla.s.s outside the room. With a glance, they can recognize Wen Ren Xi’s baby easily. He is the smallest and weakest one.

Old Madame Jing cannot help but to feel so sad.

A miserable child.

A nurse comes out from the room and Old Madame Jing comes toward her. “Hu s.h.i.+, how is my grandson’s condition? The smallest baby.”

The nurse turns her head to look at the smallest baby. She says “Currently he is stable. We cannot guarantee what will happen in the future. But don’t worry, we will try hard to take a good care of him.”

“Sorry to trouble you, you guys should keep his life.”

“We will try hard.”

They return to the sickroom and notices Wen Ren’s family members are there too. They are sitting down on the sofa quietly, no one talks.

Old Madame Wen Ren is sitting down beside the bed and holds Wen Ren Xi’s hand. Her tears keep falling down too.

Everyone is silent.

Around 10:00 a.m., Wen Ren Xi has regained her consciousness.

“Xiao Xi!” Old Madame Wen Ren is crying tears of joy. “Xiao Xi, finally you are awake. You make me so afraid….”

Wen Ren Xi is startled and watches the ceiling for a while then she gets back to her sense.

“How about him? How about the baby?” She looks emotional.

“They are okay, okay, he and the baby are okay.” Old Madame Wen Ren says.

“Really?” Wen Ren Xi starts to cry again.

Are they alright? She remembers everything what happened yesterday.

“Really, though the bullet hasn’t being taken out by now but the doctor said that he is in stable condition. We are waiting for the doctor. The baby are okay inside the incubator. I just visited him before. He is small but cute.” Old Madame Jing comforts her.

“Really? He and the baby are okay?” Wen Ren Xi starts to calm down, she lays down on the bed. “He is not dead, he is not dead…. he doesn’t let me down, he is not dead……”

“Stop crying. You just gave birth, you are in confinement period after childbirth. Don’t cry.” Old Madame Wen Ren wipes Wen Ren Xi’s tears.

Someone calls the nurse.

The nurse comes over and checks up on Wen Ren Xi. She is okay. “You can feed the patient a liquid food. It’s better for her to drink a radish soup. The time she has farted, she can eat normal food. If you have any trouble or question, please ask us.”

Old Madame Jing calls the maid to prepare a radish soup and sends it over. Then she hangs up. She also asks Ji Yi to go to nearby department store to buy several loose pajamas for Wen Ren Xi. Wen Ren Xi’s clothes are dirty, now she is laying nakedly inside the blanket.

Old Madame Jing also asks: “After you buy it, then take it home and ask the maid to wash it first. Then stove it with disinfectant before bringing it here.”

“Let me buy it for Er Shen.” Ye Qing Xin says: “Just in time while I bring it home, I can see the triplet.”

Old Mister Jing’s driver, Qu Zheng, drives Ye Qing Xin to the department store. The time she is done, he sends her to the Jing family residence too.

Ye Qing Xin sits down on the backseat and watches Qu Zheng. She speaks up. “Qu Shu (Uncle Qu), you are not going home for the Lunar New Year?”

“I went home, but what should be done as Old Madame and Old Mister want to go out? They are old, they cannot drive the car.” Qu Zheng is a senior employee in Jing family so he is closed to the family too. “Moreover, if I’m not here, who will take you to the department store?”

Ye Qing Xin suddenly Jing Suo Suo’s suggestion of getting driving license so she can drive by herself.

When she goes home, everyone is preparing for the lunch. Jing Xian Xian and Jing Suo Suo just goes down, they still look tired too.

Ye Qing Xin gives the new clothes to the maid and reminds them to not forget to stove it with disinfectant. She washes her hands and go to feed the milk for the triplet Nian Nian and Zhao Zhao drink at the same time and just empty her milk. Mu Mu is watching them, he is held by Sun Yi and just finishes his milk silently and obediently.

Mu Mu is obedient and sensible, Ye Qing Xin is gratified. Mu Mu doesn’t act like Nian Nian and Zhao Zhao, who always cry if they don’t get her milk.

Ye Qing Xin goes to the dining room after feeding the triplet. Jing Xian Xian and Jing Suo Suo are still eating. Jing Si, Ye Jun Dong, Ye Qing Guo, and Ye Lin are in the living room too.

“Where are the other? They are still sleeping?” Ye Qing Xin sits down.

“Half an hour ago, there’s a call from the hospital so they all go over there.” Jing Si says calmly.

After period of time of interaction, Jing Si isn’t acting so hostile toward Ye Qing Xin anymore but they are not really clsoed.

“Is it because of Er Shu?” Jing Xian Xian is worried. “Is he okay?”

Jing Si: “It seems that the doctor has found a way to retract the bullet so they are having a discussion? Er Ge’s condition is not really good. So they need to act quickly.”

The atmosphere in the dining room turns serious.

Ye Qing Xin also eats the lunch together with them.

After the lunch, she lets the nannies to watch over the kids and follow the others to the hospital.

When they arrive at the hospital, all of them go to Wen Ren Xi’s sickroom. There are only Old Madame Wen Ren, Old Madame Jing and Ji Yi. The other has been asked by Old Madame Wen Ren to go home. Wen Ren Xi needs a peaceful rest.

Ye Jun Dong stands outside the sickroom, only Jing Si goes inside to look around.

Ye Qing Xin pa.s.ses the clean clothes to Wen Ren Xi, Wen Ren Xi is still worried about Jing Yi’s condition but she still forces a smile toward Ye Qing Xin.

Old Madame Jing speaks up. “All of you just go home. The room is too packed, Xiao Xi needs a peaceful rest.”

This time Jing Fen Fen comes out of the resting room after sleeping for a while.

Old Madame Jing says to her. “You should be tired. Go home, have a lunch and rest.”

Jing Fen Fen ma.s.sages her sore neck and says: “Okay, I’ll go to the restroom before I leave.” Then she goes to the restroom.

Jing Si takes Ye Qing Xin, Jing Fen Fen, Jing Xian Xian to go out first.

Outside Cheng Ru Yu is chatting with Ye Jun dong.

Jing Suo Suo is a bit startled to see Cheng Ru Yu.

“Jun dong, I want to go to visit Er Ge.” Jing Si says to Ye Jun dong.

JIng Suo Suo is a bit annoyed: “Why are you keep on pinching my cheek?”

“Is it hurt?” Cheng Ru Yu blinks and feels sorry about her. “I’m sorry.”

Jing Suo Suo feels that she is too overreacted. “It’s not very painful but…. I am just surprised.”
