Though her beautiful lavender gown had blood stains, that didn't affect her overall look at all. She looked extremely beautiful as always.
Jayne was nervously fidgeting her fingers looking at her feet totally flushed. She didn't dare to look at Mrs. Caroline Roy at all.
Ronnie held her hands and squeezed it, "Hey it's okay Jayne! You don't have to be so nervous!"
At that time Mrs. Caroline walked forward and held Jayne's left hand in her right hand and Ronnie's right hand in her left hand. Her expressions changed dramatically. "So, when are you two getting married? When will I get my grandson?" She was so excited that she felt she was over the moon.
Ronnie, "..."
Jayne, "..."
Jayne was especially dumbstruck.
Ronnie laughed, "Didn't I say my mom would be the happiest?" and said to Jayne.
He hugged his mom. "Thanks mom. I love you!"
"Madam. But you don't even know who I'm? How did you accept me so quickly?" Jayne asked totally surprised.
"Wait, what is with that madam? Call me mom!" Mrs. Caroline Roy ordered.
"M-Mom?" Jayne stuttered.
"That's like my good child. Go on. What do you want to know?" Mrs. Caroline Roy asked beaming, eyes glittering.
"Mom, it's hardly five or ten minutes since I met you. How could you agree so easily?" Jayne asked again.
"It doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, your background! No nothing matters. My son who hasn't bought a single girl home in the past twenty seven years has finally got you. I trust his choice totally!" Mrs. Caroline Roy pulled Jayne to the couch and they both sat next to each other.
"But, mom aren't you worried that I am after your son for your immense wealth. I'm just a gold digger. I could be of bad character?" Jayne asked curiously.
Mrs. Caroline Roy and Ronnie both let out a laughter.
"Please go ahead. Rob my son." She pointed at Ronnie.
Ronnie continued to laugh.
Jayne felt a little embarra.s.sed by her own question and even more to their reaction. She wanted to dig a hole and bury herself.
At that time Mrs Caroline Roy took Jayne's hand once again and said. "Though it's hardly five or ten minutes since we met, that was more than enough to decide the "character" of my daughter in law."
'Daughter in law. Daughter in law' kept ringing in Jayne's ears. Jayne's already crimson cheeks turned a deeper red.
Mrs Caroline Roy smiled and continued. "The way you were worried for that stray dog and how you took care of it. I saw it all. Wasn't that enough to tell what kind of a girl you are. If you can do this just to a stray dog, I can definitely imagine what a good hearted person you are my girl."
Jayne looked at Ronnie.
"Didn't I tell you? You were worried for no reason. Both the important ladies of my life are the best." Ronnie gave put his million dollar smile.
Both the ladies blushed.
Just then another authoritative voice filled with love could be heard, "Honey, where are you? Our guests are all waiting at the party hall. What are you doing here?"
