Dream Star 224 The Important Announcemen

Later on the day

Honestly speaking, when Lila found out Kasumi returned she wanted to go back. She missed her best friend a lot and wanted to return to her quickly. But even that feeling was replaced when Lila thought of Haruka. Haruka hides it well, but he is uneasy unless she is around. At night, he always holds onto her so tightly.

"I'm back."

Lila looked up from the schedule she was reading and spotted the bag in Haruka's hands, her eyes sparkled, "Food?"

"I figured you would get hungry," Haruka said and put the bag down, "It's just some pastries though, you shouldn't overeat when you're about to do a photo shoot."

Lila's cheeks puffed into a pout, "Are you implying I'm fat?"

Haruka lips curve to a smile, and he cupped her cheeks, "Fat, huh? I guess I can see whether you gained weight, " Lila's whole face reddened understanding what he meant. Why is he such a fool for? She quickly moved away from him and turned back to reading the schedule. It was packed. After her concert at Rise Stadium, her schedule became packed. Her thoughts broke off when Haruka took a seat next to her.

"I got you pastries, but maybe you should eat proper food, " Haruka referred to the lunch she made him, and Lila shook her head.

"It's okay; you can eat it."

Haruka nodded and took out the box; it was only 11 am, too early for lunch. However, the photo shoot was 3 hours long. Lila watched him remove the lid. Today's meal for Haruka comprised a hamburger, omelets, and hotdogs. Haruka picked up the omelet brought it to his mouth but then leaned towards her, their lips touching.

"HHaruka, um.."

"Kissing, " Haruka murmured. Lila shyly nodded and put the script down. It's easy for Haruka to pry her mouth open even if she doesn't do it. Sure enough, it didn't take long, and she felt the combined mixture of the omelet and his tongue.

When Haruka asks her again if she wants to go back, Lila sat up, cheeks puffed up into a pout, "I gave you my answer already!" Geez, what on earth is with him? What will it take for him to understand that she wants to remain with him?

Haruka pulled her back onto his lap and continued to caress her hair, "You know I'm just saying, you seem curious about her stage."

"Well, I can't deny that. It took me by surprise, a part of Kasumi's aura looked like mothers."

"Does your mother not train people?" Haruka asked.

"Train.." Lila trailed off and thought about it, her mother? Even though she
She shook her head, "No."

Haruka nodded, "It shouldn't be too much of a surprise. The legendary generation can't be surpa.s.sed, but people with similar traits tend to appear once in a while," Haruka explained, "For example Iwa Kasumi. She followed in her mother's footsteps to become a model, but I've always thought her idol way resembled your mother's more."

"Then what about me?" Lila asked curiously.

"Your more similar to your mother, but you don't manifest any of her aura. Do you know why that is?" Lila shook her head, and Haruka continued, "It's because you're the unique idol that appears every once or so often. I guess a more summarised explanation is, your this generations songstress."

"Songstress.." Lila repeated, "I don't know what that is Haruka, but it does sound really cool!" Haruka stared at her in disbelief and sighed, Lila looked at him puzzled. Why did Haruka sigh just now?

Her thoughts broke off when she discovered that Haruka had inched closer to her, "W-what?" Lila said nervously, she and Haruka may be dating each other now. But when he does these things so suddenly and without warning, it makes her nervous. Haruka placed his hand on her lap, the sudden contact made her s.h.i.+ver, and he gently nibbles her ear.

"Ari."

"Y—yes?" Lila stammered, what is he doing? Or rather get a grip, Lila! Doesn't this usually happen?

"I want you to do me a favor."

Favor? Lila sensed his serious tone, but when she turned to look at his expression, Haruka had buried his face on her neck.

Star Town, Universal S

In star town, it was already the following morning -, the number of reporters and media that appeared at the conference was terrific. Then again, she supposes it resulted from her stage. Kasumi knew her performance surprised people, and it seems to have the desired effect she wanted.

At precisely 8:00 am, Kasumi took her seat - a spare place was on her right, and she was aware how confused the reporters were, "First of all, thank you for attending. Quite some time has pa.s.sed since I was in j.a.pan properly, so the turnout was quite unexpected," Kasumi stood out and bowed before she sat back down.

It felt like everybody was watching her every movement. But Kasumi remained calm and continued, "The abrupt concert, there is something important I'd like to announce," she took a dramatic and long pause leaving the reporters and people at the scene antic.i.p.ating.

Kasumi understood what was going on through their minds right now. Why did she have to prolong it? It tempted her to laugh knowing what they thought; she would have if she weren't in the middle of the general public. In the eyes of these people, she knew exactly what they were thinking. They probably thought she would announce retirement or her marriage with her supposed boyfriend. Kasumi didn't have to look at the various magazine articles about her; though Kazuma brought her attention to it.

Lila, to keep the promise she made - she will do whatever it takes. She will help Lila shape the idol world; she won't let her stand alone.

"I Iwa Kasumi will be forming a Unit, and for a while, my solo activities will be on hold to focus on my duo unit work," Kasumi said. People stood there stunned. n.o.body expected her to announce something reasonable, which proved her point. They thought she held the conference to push away the rumors about her. But Kasumi was not going to waste time on such pointless matters.

Kasumi tapped her hands and the board behind her changes. The board showed details regarding her upcoming activities.

"Kasumi-San, who is your partner?"

"What about the G.o.ddess 4?"

Kasumi smiled, "Of course the G.o.ddess 4 is still my priority," The reporters were confused with her words, but Kasumi did not see the need to explain that part. She continued, "As for my partner, it's somebody everybody here should be familiar with."

The moment she said those words the doors opened, a girl with pale blonde hair and emerald green eyes stepped forward. The reporters stared at her with wide eyes.

"Woah—"

"Emma Field."

"For real?"

Yes, this is the person she chose as her partner. The famous dance Queen Emma Field. Who is also a renowned sports champion? The reason she chose the girl as her partner, however, is not because of her fame.

Emma bowed and made her way over to the table; she whispered, "Kasumi, sorry! I just got here because I tripped when I got off the plane.."

Kasumi sweatdropped, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, now then," Emma trailed off, and grinned, "Time for my grand speech."

Kasumi laughed softly, "Go for it." The two of them turned their attention back to the reporters.

"Miss Ema, is this for real?"

Emma nodded, "Absolutely, it's like what Kasumi said. The same goes for me; I will focus on my unit duties for a while."

"What made you decide this?"

Her friend paused and then glanced over at her, "Because I believe in the radiance and the path Kasumi showed me," Emma said. Though Emma praised her, there is a hidden meaning. Everybody knows her radiance and the path she follows is because of Lila.

Kasumi's lips curve to a smile when she saw the reporters reactions. No matter how much these people bad mouth Lila, in the end, karma will hit them. Kasumi doesn't even have to raise a finger but now she's back in j.a.pan, she won't let anybody badmouth Lila.
