Haruka glanced over and saw something sticking out of Lila's bag. 'For hubby.' His lips curve to a smile. What did she get him? He's a bit curious. He heard from the others how she was fretting about with his gift. He patiently waited for Lila to return. His thoughts were a bit of a mess. Why is she prettier than usual today?

It made no sense. Or maybe he's going crazy. Whenever it comes to Lila, he always has such irrational thoughts. His thoughts broke off when he hears the sound of his phone Haruka stole a glance at the screen.

So, I know you have date plans with Lila. But, I have a gift for her. Lend me to her for five minutes later.

He doesn't like the idea of lending his wife.. Still… Haruka immediately called Kiryu and muttered. "What do you want with my wife?"

Kiryu laughed, "I didn't think you'd call me."

"Make it quick, or you won't see her today."

"I got her a gift and fixed her old guitar. So, I'd like it if I gave it before the new year live."

Her old guitar? Right, the one she uses now is different to when she first debuted. "Alright...I can't really give you an estimation. But at 10pm?"

"You're really going to hog her for that long?"

"I came late," Haruka muttered.

"Late? But she rushed out of work early for you. Did something happen? Do you need help?"

He's as considerate as ever.

Cornering Lila against the wall before she returned to their seats wasn't part of the plan. But, since he has. He won't stop.

Lila giggled, "Um, I thought I said no kissing till later."

"Well, I was never a good guys," he gently caressed her cheeks. "Besides, this is a good place for it."

"But I'm nervous."

"Why are you nervous? Don't be silly my wife. How many times have I kissed you?"

"A lot," Lila nodded. "But, since I love you. I get nervous when you do these things."

So that's how it is. Then again, he would say the same thing about her. "Let's make out my wife, I really want to," he squeezed her hands. "Okay? I'll stop whenever you want."

"Okay," Lila agreed.

He ran his hands through her hair and started to kiss her. Haruka doesn't have to do much, she parts her lips willingly. 'Such a cutie.' Kissing the woman you love is different. Still, he recalled Rikka's expression earlier. What is he going to do about that? Push her away like he does all the others?

"Mmmm, hubby. Focus on me," Lila mumbled.

Haruka chuckled, "Weren't you against this?"

Her cheeks puffed into a pout, "It's your fault, stupid idiot. Why is your kissing technique better than before?"

"I can say the same for you wife. Did you practice on anyone?"

"Who would I practice on gangster!"

Geez, she's so precious. Haruka brought her hands to his lips and started to kiss her fingers. "Uhhh," Lila's cheeks reddened. "What happened to making out?"

"This is good too, no?"

"Don't do these weird things dummy," she reached over and played with the hem of his s.h.i.+rt. "But, maybe it's fine later. I want this Christmas to be memorable…"

"And doing it with me today will make it different?"

"Well, mmmm. I think so."

She thinks so? "Hey, you know you can be more certain and confident with me. Is there anything you want to do in particular?"

Lila paused and then bent down to whisper in his ear. "I um, read from a magazine…"

'What sorts of magazine is she reading?' Rather, did she just say what he thinks she did? Haruka ran his hands through his hair, the other one still on his waist. "Do you known what that stuff means Lila?"

"Um, it's perverted right?"

"Yeah," Haruka nodded. "That's the stuff people do with others they treat as toys, not to someone they love. While there are some extreme couples that enjoy that stuff. I'd never do that with you, because your precious to me."

Why does he even have to talk to her about this?

Lila looked down, and nodded. "I'm sorry hubby. I randomly read it when I went over to Jae-hee's place. I thought you'd like it…"

Of course, a deep sigh escaped his lips. "We've gone through this," he brushed his lips against her. "You don't have to experiment or anything to please me. Were still young Lila. Don't do things you can't. Besides, you turn red just seeing me naked. Do you really think you could do something extreme?"

"I can do it too!"

Why is she so insistent on this? It's not like he will like her any better even if she is good at it. Besides, he's always liked how innocent she is. If she weren't innocent, then Lila would be exactly like those other girls. 'I like you the way you are..' Haruka held himself back from saying those words.

He can't say something that embarra.s.sing to her. Haruka cupped her cheeks, 'But really, why is she always so red?' These days he notices it a lot. Even though he has learned that she isn't as innocent as she appeared to be. Still, "Hey, lately have I done something to you? Why are you turning all red like you used to?"

Lila looked down, "T—that..that is.."

"Tell me why," Haruka leaned closer.

"Wahhh, I told you to stay away."

She's acting so weird, he doesn't get it. Still, he likes this red color on her cheeks. Lila looks drop-dead gorgeous today, and while she's acting all cute. He can't help but think how beautiful she is. Is she really seventeen years old? She never looked her age, even from the first time they started dating.

"Tell me you love me wife."

Lila's gaze softened, "I love you, and only you."

"Is that why your blus.h.i.+ng?"

She coughed awkwardly, "Why are you so focused on this anyway?"

"You haven't acted this shy around me since well in forever. I'm just curious."

"Well," Lila nodded. "Lately I've thought about a lot of things. When I realized that I've really loved you this entire time, I felt a bit embarra.s.sed. I mean, once you lost your memories. Normally, it shouldn't be possible to fall in love with the same person again. But I did, twice… So uh…"

That's why she's embarra.s.sed? He didn't think it was because of that. "The fact that you fell in love with me despite having Kiryu makes me so happy.. I know it sounds selfish, but I always thought that we could never return to those days."

"I'm glad I remember now. Even though I fell for you without those memories, it's still nice to know where it all started. Hey, hubby," Lila trailed off. "You know, I've always wanted to tell you. Thank you for saving my life that day."

His eyes widened when he heard her words. "I did nothing, I…"

"No, you did," she shook her head. "You saved me. If you didn't rush out like that to get helped. I would have died. Both me and Kiryu would have, that's why - thank you so much. My life has always been yours, out of grat.i.tude but also because I love you."

Lila….

"Let's head back. I want deserts," Lila backed away from the wall and turned to walk away. However, Haruka grabbed hold of her wrist. "You're so foolish. Even without words, I can tell what you're thinking," she laughed. "You really are needy."

Lila turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. "But, that's fine with me. The things you need, everything you desire. I'll give it all to you."
