Then again, this is Haruka she is talking about here. It seems like this guy is very clueless when it comes to acts of affection. Or people expressing their feelings. Ahhh, she really can't look him in the eyes right now. For some reason, her heart is beating so fast right now. So stupid, why does this happen every single time she is around him? There is no need for her to act so nervous.

"You know, if you had to go out of the country, where would you go?" Lila asked casually. She wanted to swiftly change the topic before he started to tease her. "For living? Travelling? Business? It would depend on the purpose."

". . .Armenalia?" Haruka muttered, as he gently caressed her hair. Lila felt so content being with Haruka like this, she relaxed in his arms.

"Armenalia?"

"I heard that there are tons of beautiful women there."

Lila pouts, "Sorry, I'm not pretty."

"I didn't say that."

"Really?" Lila questioned. "I know I'm not your type Haruka."

Haruka chuckled, "Wife, you don't have to be my type. Besides types are something that changes all the time. Usually, they are peoples ideal - but dating your ideal type doesn't work out most times."

"It doesn't? So, even though Kiryu is my ideal type, it wouldn't have worked out..." Lila muttered out loud.

At that comment, Haruka pinched her cheeks, "So, Kiryu's your ideal?"

"Kiryu is a gentleman, not a bully."

"Brat," he mumbled. "Hah, well, I knew I wasn't your type from the start. Why would you date a player?"

A player, huh? Quite some time has pa.s.sed since she last thought of Haruka that way, though. Ever since they dated, he's been nothing but loyal to her.

There was a brief silence between them.

"What should I do? Besides sitting here and only being able to listen like an idiot. What can I do for you?"

"Tell me that I'm pretty."

"You're pretty."

"Tell me that I'm prettier than models."

"You're prettier than those world-cla.s.s models."

"Don't throw out the words like some sort of chant. Say it sweetly and suck up to me sweetly." Lila said.

"I love you. You're really beautiful."

Lila laughed, "You're really saying it."

"You're really pretty. I was going to say this earlier too. You're pretty, you're the prettiest," Haruka gently cupped her cheeks, "Lila, you're so red. Why?"

This fool, "Don't make me say it; you already know how much I love you, dummy."

"I think we can do better than this, though."

Gee, he really is silly. Lila looked up, shyly, "Did you want me to do something?"

Haruka chuckled, "Well, it's up to you. Do you want to do something?"

She actually does, and badly too. Still, aaah, she can't say those embarra.s.sing things. She has indeed become a lot bolder now. But, Lila still had her limits. Besides, if she says it indirectly, Haruka will tease her. She won't let him win.

"What do you want me to do..."

"Mmm, a lot of things. Why don't you tell me, though? You should know what I'm thinking."

"Aaagh, I can't do it! Not when your seducing me with your voice," Lila exclaimed.

Haruka bursts into laughter, "I was only teasing you, calm down wife."

"Please stop teasing, you know I can't handle it."

He brushes his hands behind her ear, "You're wearing it."

"I like it a lot..."

"It's a bit extravagant, though. I didn't think you'd wear it daily."

"But you bought it for me," she trailed off when she saw his gentle expression. "Hubby, since it's new year. Can we have a date?"

"Yeah, I was going to ask you what do you want to do after work? We both finish early."

"I wanted to do some shopping. We ran out of supplies during new years, and uh, some things got broken."

'It was because of Haruka though...' Haruka squeezed her hands, "Well, I thought the bed was getting a bit boring."

"Don't be stupid; we're not doing that again."

Haruka leaned forward, "Really?"

"Aaah, I sound like an idiot whenever I'm around you."

"That's great since I think I'm an idiot too."

For the first time, Lila looked at Haruka properly and saw the red on his cheeks. Why is he blus.h.i.+ng too? He really is an idiot. Lila covered her face again with her hands, but Haruka removed them immediately. He kisses each finger softly.

"Happy new year," Haruka muttered.

"You too..." Lila wrapped her arms around his neck and Haruka hesitated. But, Lula shook her head. "You don't have to be considerate now. I want you."

"You really do the most unexpected things. You want to do something here? Were in the hallway."

Lila turned red, "Uhh, no, I mean we should find somewhere..."

"Where?"

Aaah, what is she doing? This is all so stupid; he's clearly messing with her again. Lila buried her face in his neck, "Find somewhere, so we can be alone."

"Alright, wife, don't be afraid."

Two hours later - Dressing room 5-

Her gaze fell on Haruka, whose arms wrapped securely around her. Haruka hadn't bothered changing, but Lila noted that he put his s.h.i.+rt on her. 'She does want to stare at him like this for a few minutes.' But, Kiryu should be going to meet her sister soon. Kiryu isn't exactly subtle about keeping things a secret.

"Are you leaving?" Haruka asked.

Lila nodded, "Ah-huh, um...let me go."

Haruka brought his lips to her face and kissed her lips. "You sure you want to go?"

"Ah-huh."

Besides, the reason why she wants to follow Kiryu is because she needs to learn what her sister and brother have. Those two don't tell her anything! She had to find everything out from Soichiro. It isn't fair; she's also a member of the Teras.h.i.+ma family.

Haruka wrapped the surrounding blanket, "Delay it."

"Ah, but it's important."

"Lila, you have a bit of a fever. Please rest for a bit longer."

'So that's why he took her away?' Then again, even Kiryu didn't say a word. Usually he would have, so Kiryu must have noticed it too. "Haruka, you're not doing anything dangerous these days, are you?"

The conversation with Soichiro echoed in her mind. Haruka can't be involved, surely not. However, so many people will start suspecting him again. She has to make sure that there really are no traces that would lead back to Haruka. Lila does not want anybody to hurt Haruka anymore.

"I won't do anything dangerous. I don't want you getting caught up in anything," he kissed her again. "Close your eyes for a bit. I'll wake you up in an hour, and ask Myou to drop you off. It won't take long by car."

"Okay," Lila nodded and closed her eyes. She won't let anyone harm him. She will protect Haruka.
