THE CEO's LOVE 127 Desire

The hope rising inside her suddenly vanished. Bringing with it pain and anger.

"Hahaha," she laughed hysterically. So loud that it echoed in the room. Thankfully his office was sound proof. He wouldn't want rumours spreading with this. "Zhaolin, you must take me for a fool then? Firstly you say you love me, you want me and you can't stop yourself..."

"Yes," he answered. Not sure what she was hinting at.

"But then you're married with a child..."

"No! I'm not!" He shook his index finger, to say he wasn't.

"And then I ask you to explain... But you can't!" She was so angry that she wanted to slap him across his handsome face. And then unknownily to her, a tear dropped.

Her chest rose and fell due to her anger. She pointed at him with a clenched jaw. "Just get out! Get away from me!" She took a deep breath. "And one more thing, stop trying to get close to my daughter! I wouldn't want her to feel the same pain I felt."

"n.o.body will make her feel pain! n.o.body will dare and even if they try as much... They will pay." That was a promise coming from him, and he was going to keep it!

She closed her eyes, unsure of what to say... What is really wrong with this man? In a minute, he would make you feel good and the next, he would allow it shatter.

"I don't need your help in protecting my child, all I'm saying is that you stop going close to her. Stop treating her good! Stop buying her things! I'm her mother!" She pointed at her herself. "I will do it for her... I'll buy her the things she lacked since she was young. I don't need you doing me that favour."

He wondered why the sudden change in the atmosphere, just a minute or two ago she was in his arms... But now she was yelling at him. Where did he go wrong? "It's not a favour! It's a way of me paying my debt."

She chuckled. "You don't owe me anything..."

"Yes. But I owe you the world. You deserve better than this. And I promise to make you happy. Happier than this! And I'll keep my word!"

"Okay, I'd like to leave now." 

"I'll take you home," 

She quickly rejected his offer. "No."

He trapped her in-between the wall and himself with his left hand, his right hand on her waist.

Since there was no way of her escaping, she tried to struggle, he did nothing. It continued for a whole minutes before she stopped.

She thanked the almighty, that she always kept her finger nails short or else she would have left a terrible mark on his face and chest.

Due to her struggle, the b.u.t.tons of his s.h.i.+rt was undone to the third line. Since he didn't wear tie, she could easily see his chest.

His well toned skin, was gleaming.

This wasn't their first time being this upclose, but this was the first time she was examining him closely. His chest rose and fell with ease.

For the fact she never dated in the past, she couldn't really say anything good. But one thing she was sure of, was that Zhaolin was das.h.i.+ng. His perfect frame, broad shoulders just like Xiujun. Xiujun was just as handsome as much, but she found Zhaolin more alluring. 

His Adam apple bobbed and she felt herself swallow. Xueyan, why are you l.u.s.ting after a married man? She shut her eyes. They were way too close.

"Zhaolin," the name came as a whisper. After that thing that happened in the past, she couldn't take men looking at her so she was always dressed in weird clothing. But just for the sake of punis.h.i.+ng Zhaolin, she came to his office dressed like this. Ignoring the men ogling at her, she tried to maintain her composure, and she really did. And she just discovered, she didn't feel that nauseous feeling with Zhaolin so close. She felt more safe but her heart was beating at a high rate.

She wanted to push him away, but still, she wanted to draw him close. To hold him tight and never let go.

When he heard his name slip out of her mouth in that soft whisper, he felt the sun set behind him. The rainbows over his head. He wished he could find the strength to let her go, he just couldn't... 

He bent his knees a bit, his eyes leveled to her, his nose mouth and everything else...

Xueyan watched her heart fly out of the large window. 'What is he trying to do?'

She was looking straight into that golden eyes, and he was looking straight into her black pupils. "Xue,"

Xueyan closed her eyes, as her chest rose and fell with speed. 'What is wrong with you? Why did you close your eyes‽ Xueyan!' she thought her head was going to explode with everything going on inside it and outside here.

What was this new feeling? She really wants him to kiss her? The first time he did, she had lost consciousness... What will happen now, if he kissed her? Even though she was worried, she still wants it. She wants him to kiss her...

Xueyan wasn't the only one with a troubled mind. Zhaolin was too. Wasn't he going too far? 

Still, still... He wants this too. He craves for it, his lips on hers... Their tongue tangled up... Wait, where was all these idea popping up from? 

Just last week, Xiangyang had sent him a link on WeChat, he didn't know what pushed him into clicking on the link but after he did he regretted. Two lovers kissing pa.s.sionately after the man had proposed. Though he regretted opening it, he still didn't close it... He was really crazy, just like Xueyan had said.

He desired her, he fancied her, he needed her and wanted her to himself.

Xueyan felt his breath on her face, and stiffened, and when his mouth was about to close up on hers... There was a startling knock. 

The two was jolted out of their senses.

Zhaolin phone started ringing too. His hands balled into fist due to the distraction, he would kill whomever it was at the door.

Xueyan opened her eyes and looked towards the door, to ashamed to look him straight in the eyes. Just right now, she was pus.h.i.+ng him away, but still closed her eyes antic.i.p.ating the coming of the kiss... Xueyan where's your dignity?

The phone continued to ring, but Zhaolin didn't have any thoughts of bringing it out of his pocket, talk more of answering.

The knock came again, "CEO Zhao, are you in there?"

He didn't say anything, just stood there watching her. 

She knew he was watching her and didn't want to turn. "You..." Her voice cracked. "You should answer the door,"

He didn't say a single word.

"And your phone too, I bet it's something important."

"..."

"Zhaolin?" He still didn't say a word. She turned to face him, "Can you hear me?"

When he didn't reply, she pulled at his hand still clutching onto her waist. He didn't budge.

"Zhaolin? Are you crazy?" She tried to bend, so she would escape from under his arm, he bent it instead. "Please stop. This isn't the best place to show your madness."

And a light smile crept up his face.

"What's funny? Just get off me,"

He straightened up, pulled his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders with force. Since she was struggling with him. He pointed a finger at her, still no word came out. She knew that was a warning. He had done that years ago, when she was locked in the girls toilet. When he entered through the next toilet, she wanted to scream. He covered her mouth and pointed his index finger at her, then shook it. 'Don't try it.' and just like now. 'Don't resist my help.'

When the other girls left, his friends opened the toilet from outside. She had thought it was the toilet cleaner that had locked her up by mistake, but realized it wasn't so when other girls kept coming in and she was banging against the door.

The person must have stood there, watching as everyone went in and out, making sure no one tried to help her. It was Ru Fangxi and her minions. She couldn't do anything. Couldn't fight back... She had only found out, when Jiuwen decided to set a trap for Xiao s.h.i.+ya and her friends. They said they knew nothing about it.

Ru Fangxi and Deng Yue was able to conceal it, but Anhao gave them out.

She smiled remembering all these, she really went through a lot... Not anymore though! No body will be able to bully her. She was much stronger now. She could easily beat them up, now. The funniest part is that they thought she was still the same old Bai Xueyan.
