The funniest part is that they thought she was still the same old Bai Xueyan.

Her keeping quiet now, was because she wanted to let them play themselves. Once their cup was filled to the brim, she'd hit them by pus.h.i.+ng the cup off the table. Shattering them into thousand pieces.

"Come in," Zhaolin was now standing by himself, his hands in his pocket and looking straight at the door. But he was blocking her... More like a human s.h.i.+eld.

The door opened, and Zhiyang stepped in. "Sir, everyone's left..." He trailed off, when he realized Zhaolin wasn't on his chair. Set to turn when he heard an order. "Drop the files on my table and you can leave."

Zhiyang maintained his composure, his wandering eyes even if he so wanted to turn around and have a look.

"Three extra designs came in... We will be briefed about it tomorrow during the meeting, I just brought them for you to have a look."

"Ok," Zhaolin answered. And Zhiyang knew it was time to leave. 

"Good bye, sir."

"Mhm,"

Meanwhile as all these was going on. Xueyan was behind Zhaolin admiring his body. From his relaxed shoulders, to his well sculpted biceps, and then to the straight line that disappeared at his waist. She couldn't see beyond his waist, as his pants concealed them. She looked up again and started looking all over. That perfect shape said a lot. Where did he get the time to go to the gym? 

She had looked over tens of times, but didn't have enough of him yet to feed her hungry eyes.

He looked so yummy, so appealing to the eyes. 

Then that perfectly shaped b.u.t.tocks... How many times has Xiao s.h.i.+ya grabbed onto that a.s.s? She wished she could find out. She must feel so proud with a man like Zhaolin around her. 

 And held his arms, resting in them... Being carried by those strong arms... Held together in one place with this fine man...

Then this sudden thought out of nowhere entered her head. "What if she steals him from her?" A wicked grin crept up on her face. s.h.i.+ya would never recover from the shock.

She swallowed but didn't realize her nose was turning bright pink, her ears too...

She was too lost to realize all these.

He turned around to see her smiling, then he remembered the day his grandfather called. The car had halted in at a bus station. She was sitting there, smiling to herself. The day she had gotten the job from the hotel. She hadn't seen him, though.

He held her face in between his hands, and brought her face up to look at him. There was this faint blush on her face. "What are you thinking about?"

She cleared her throat and slapped his hands away, then stood on a tiptoe to look behind him.

"He's gone," his lips curved. "Let's go have dinner."

Yes, it was dinner time. The time seemed to have ran too fast. At the wall clock, it was fifteen past seven pm. "You should have dinner with your family, instead "

"My boy must have had dinner by now... Let's go, I'm hungry." He pulled her with him. As they entered the second elevator leading straight to the parking lot, Riuwen came out of the dark corner. Entered Zhaolin's office, turned his computer off and locked everywhere.

"You're not scared of being stolen from?" Xueyan asked.

"Hmm?" He understood what she meant but decided to play a bit. 

"You... You didn't even lock your office."

"Ah!" He pretended to be surprised. "How could I forget?"

"You're so dumb!" Xueyan hissed.

He chuckled softly. "Not as dumb as you,"

She turned, ready to retort when he quirked a brow. "Yes?"

She just looked away, mumbling something under her breath.

"You say?" He asked. "You actually look like a wounded puppy when angry."

He was more amused when she decided ignoring him would be best. "She doesn't look in anyway like you, thankfully."

Xueyan head snapped at him. "Say that again,"

"Thankfully, she doesn't have any of your attributes." And then the smile on his face spread.

"Zhaolin,"

"And now I understand the meaning of cute..."

"Psycho,"

He sighed. "In love with another psycho."

Xueyan thought her head would explode anytime soon. Thankfully the elevator beeped and the doors parted. 

She strode away, her path clearly different from Zhaolin's. 

He went after her, lifting her up when he got close.

"Zhaolin, what are you doing? Put me down!" She demanded.

"Only when you decide to walk the same path as I," he continued carrying her towards the car. 

She tried to struggle but her hands failed her, as they were held in place by his.

He got to the car, put her down and opened the car door. Xueyan's mouth was slightly parted, he noticed. "What is wrong?"

"Your car,"

"Hmm?" 

"Looks same as mine,"

If he say, he wasn't surprised, then that'd be a lie. How can she have such good and keen eyesight?

He swallowed, not sure of what to say. "Do you like it?" He was trying to hide his shock by smiling. 

"Don't tell me..."

"Tell you what?"

All Stars Media gave it to me... But then no other on sight has this. No she couldn't possibly keep quiet. "Another of your doing..."

He couldn't control the laughter, threatening to spill. "You're not so dumb."

He nodded. It was that simple, he wouldn't lie or beat around the bush.

"Zhaolin‽"

"I owe you the world, my love." This sincerity in his voice, wouldn't help her retort. "And I promise to give it to you," he took a step closer, without much ado, he bent over and pressed his cold lips against hers.

Xueyan was dumbfounded. She went numb.

Finally, there was kiss he had been wis.h.i.+ng for. The kiss he wanted so bad.

Peace at last, would be the best statement to describe his heart now.
