"Have you had breakfast?" Xiangyang interrupted her line of thought.

It was then that Zhaolin looked up. She could feel the intense gaze on her bowed head. He would be mad! She remembered when they had newly gotten married, he would always spend time with Zhihao alone. He never looked at her face. So she decided to starve to draw his attention.

"If you want to starve to death, you'll have to go back to your parents home... Then die there, I won't carry the cross of a crime I didn't commit." It was that simple, if she wished to die, she should do it elsewhere. And he wouldn't care...

She didn't dare look up at him.

"s.h.i.+ya, did you have breakfast?" Xiangyang asked again.

She shook her head and heard Xiangyang sigh. 

Xiangyang got up then said to Zhaolin, "Call your secretary to order food for her."

Zhaolin didn't react, he just read on.

Xiangyang was left with the option to go out in search of Zhiyang. After he relayed his message he went back in, "Why would you miss breakfast?" He asked. "You can miss your lunch, but certainly not breakfast. n.o.body does that." He scolded.

s.h.i.+ya could only nod.

Xiangyang took out his phone and dialled his nurse number, telling her a list of drugs to bring.

Twenty minutes later, the food has arrived. 

Zhaolin hadn't said a single word. His silence broke her into a million pieces.

Just as Xiangyang tore open a pack of rice for her there was a light knock on the door.

Zhaolin looked at door, his hand under his jaw as he answered with a low voice. "Yes,"

He wasn't surprised to see who it was, he looked down and continued with his work.

Songyan could only eye him dangerously, what a stupid cousin! She screamed in her head.

"Songyan?" Xiangyang brows furrowed slightly, "What are you doing here?"

Just like magic, Songyan's face lit up. "I was leaving for office when you called, so I decided to help out."

He frowned more but said, "Alright, thank you." He collected the bag of medicine from her.

s.h.i.+ya smiled to herself, at least there was something to play with. She started moving in an uncomfortable way, clutching onto her stomach.

"s.h.i.+ya, s.h.i.+ya," Xiangyang walked over to check what was wrong with her.

Meanwhile in the midst of all these, she had her eyes slightly open peeking at Songyan's reaction.

She knew the Xings were intelligent but believed Songyan was dumb, perhaps because of that her father.

Meanwhile Songyan was battling in between pus.h.i.+ng s.h.i.+ya far away from Xiangyang. She knew s.h.i.+ya was doing it on purpose and she still couldn't help herself from getting angry.

Songyan went closer, "I can help," she offered.

Xiangyang was thankful. He had been stressed out, five blind dates in an hour... That was a lot. He had considered running far away from home, but then, it would only hurt his mom so he gave in. Even though the girls were caked up in makeup. He still had to deal with their heavy scents.

He went back to his chair almost sighing out aloud, he then went to sit closer to Zhaolin.

Songyan smirked. "You must think everyone is as dumb as Zhaolin," she mumbled.

s.h.i.+ya smiled. "He's still better than you... You're a coward, carrying a torch for a man all your life, but too scared to open your mouth. You can only run your dirty mouth beside me... Stupid girl."

Songyan jammed her lower and upper teeth together, "What are you doing in brother's office? Have you come to get a new car? Because that's all you're good at."

Now it was s.h.i.+ya's time to frown. "Stop trying to divert my attention."

"That wouldn't be necessary," she then turned to Xiangyang. "She's okay," it was just mere pretence. She wanted to say it out aloud.

"Oh, that's good." Xiangyang said. "Eat up s.h.i.+ya, you really need to."

The two ladies was left staring daggers at themselves.

Mei Han was busy reading the comments under the company's post. It was mandatory for the company to introduce Xueyan first before they could open an account.

The first person asked, "Who is this Bai Xueyan? What dramas, movies or show has she been in?"

The second person was supporting the first comment. "Yes, please give us information about her."

"Another white lotus in the industry," the third person said.

"Wow! She's beautiful! I hope it's natural."

"Oh my goodness! Someone to replace that fake Fangxi, finally. This is the fourth best decision All Stars Media is making, aside from signing our top three men. The ladies in the industry are all fake."

"Bai Xueyan? Her name doesn't sound familiar... Which university did she graduate from?"

"I'm in love with her beauty, look at that black and white eyes. The perfect nose and face without makeup... Not forgetting the rosy lips, they look kissable." Mei Han laughed out loud.

"This person is a psycho," she beckoned on Xueyan to come read. "Look, you didn't even do a photoshoot, but this picture looks so beautiful."

"Truly," Xueyan smiled. The picture had been taken during the shoot, when she was hidden in that corner, trying to escape. Funny part was that it was only her face.

"A new G.o.ddess, her beauty dazzles me." Mei Han read aloud. "Aren't they sweet? At least they aren't blind! They can see the truth right in front of them."

Mei Han read more comments out. Then took up the phone and tapped on the weibo application, she showed Xueyan pictures and asked which one she should pick.

"Xueyan, get ready for a photoshoot." The chairman's voice boomed from the door. "Mei Han, go to the clothing team and pick dresses for her. Now!"

Mei Han immediately got to work.

Soon enough everything was set, Mei Han had chosen three dresses. One was plain white dress with strap hand, v neck and a lace starting from under the breast. Another white dress with green, red and yellow flowers embroidered at the breast part. The third was a sequin dress, voilet.

She also choose a skirt and blouse, wine coloured.

She clapped for herself, and smiled internally.

When the chairman saw it he appluaded her. 

Xueyan dressed in the plain white gown first, a single jasmine flower tucked behind her ear. She smiled brightly and the picture was taken. Another was taken, with her looking away.

Forty minutes later they were done.

Xueyan sighed. Ten pictures had been successfully taken. Even in two of them, the studio was set up like the beach.

"The pictures all look magnificent," Mei Han was overly excited. "It was a success, yippee!"

A smile lingered on Xueyan's face. "You're so excited like you're the one opening an account,"

"I am! Don't you know, that you're officially an actress? n.o.body will question you whatsoever."

The first picture Mei Han posted was the one of Xueyan looking into a far distance. Her skin was gleaming in the light. "Welcome me," said the caption. She turned to Xueyan. "Do you think the caption is okay?"

"Anything will do," Xueyan said.

"Xueyan... You don't even care,"

Xueyan shook her head. "I don't know all that. I only want to make money," and find him...

Mei Han sighed. "Yeah, whatever. Then I call also call you suns.h.i.+ne."

"No, that will be like me praising myself."

When Mei Han thought about, she smiled.

As soon as Mei Han made the post, All Stars Media reposted it with an appreciating note. "We're happy to have you in our team. A great actress, you're. The world will be amazed by your talent. Thank you." And tagged her.

Soon comments flooded into her post, with like going high.

Mei Han thought she would be blinded, when she tried to read a comment another entered.

Hashtags like, "Who's Bai Xueyan?" 

"All Stars Media new actress, Bai Xueyan."

"A real beauty is in the land!"

"Bai Xueyan a nameless actress." Soon topped the trending list.

The search list was filled with only her name.

"Who would have thought you'd receive this much love?" Mei Han asked.

"I know right?" Xueyan was also reading the comments, as Mei Han was with the phone officially given to her for the handling of the account.

"I need more pictures of this beautiful young woman, @ASM." One of the commenters demanded. ASM was the abbreviation word for All Stars Media. People replied to his comments with support. They wanted more.

"I just heard about this new actress and I must agree she's beyond beautiful."

"Look at that glowing skin."

"Hey, are you really this beautiful? Where was I when the Almighty was creating you?"

"Who's she? I hope you are not here to imitate the beauty I know. Fangxi remains undefeated."

"Hey, shut it! Fangxi isn't beautiful!" He added the emoji of a clown.
