Huang Wei Yi stares at the little girl lying on the ground. What can he do? She hasn't woken up since she appeared here.

Whenever Li Dai Yu wanted to hide him, she would bring him to this place. He has no idea where this place is. It seems like a forest. There's no sun, but the sky is blue. He has been exploring this forest for a while, but he can't seem to find the end. Sometimes, he would end up at the same place as if he's walking in a circle. Then, he can't smell or taste anything. He's just a ghost. 

"Is she Fu Sheng's daughter?" Huang Wei Yi did hear about this child. Meng Su Yin mentioned her once or twice. The child is so small. Why would a vampire keep a human child? In the past, he couldn't understand that. He has been an idiot back then. He couldn't understand something so simple. It didn't matter to Fu Sheng whether this child was a human or not. 

"He's not bad for Huang Qiuyan." Huang Wei Yi tries to touch the girl's head, but his hand pa.s.s through her skull. "Perhaps, he can give her things that we failed to give her."

Fu Mian's eyes flutter. She slowly opens her eyes and sees a semi-transparent man in front of her. She widens her eyes in shock and screams, startling Huang Wei Yi. 

He moves away from her and looks back. He can't see anything. Then, why is she screaming? "Do you see something here?"

Trembling, Fu Mian points at him with tears in her eyes. "What are you?"

"I-I…" It's awkward. The girl is about five or six. It's natural for her to be afraid of him. Even he would be scared if he saw a ghost next to him like this. "I am your Mother's brother."

She frowns. "You are not Uncle Dan."

"Uncle Dan?" Huang Wei Yi wonders who that is. He has never met anyone named 'Dan'. "My name is Huang Wei Yi. I am her twin brother. I am twelve minutes older than her."

"Why should I believe you?" Fu Mian looks at him with doubts on her face. "Don't try to fool me. Twins are supposed to look the same."

"No, there are twins who don't look the same." Huang Wei Yi chuckles. He wants to pinch this girl's cheeks until they are tomato-red. 

"Until my mother says that you are my uncle, I won't believe you." Fu Mian stands up and pats her clothes. "Mister, where is this place?"

He has no idea. "How did you come here, Fu Mian?"

"Uncle Dan brought me here." Fu Mian looks up at the sky. "He told me that he was going to take me to see Mommy. I can't see Mommy here."

Huang Qiuyan likes children. She must have been attached to this little girl. Huang Wei Yi lets out at a sigh. Huang Qiuyan isn't Huang Qiuyan anymore. He doesn't know what kind of person Li Dai Yu is. What should he tell this child?

"She's playing hide and seek."

Huang Wei Yi is surprised when he hears the new voice. He looks at the little boy who is about seven or eight. The boy reminds him of Huang Qiuyan when she was younger. He feels as if he's looking at a younger male version of Huang Qiuyan.

"Uncle Dan." Fu Mian looks at Xiao Chun Dan with a frown. "Did you kidnap me?"

"I brought you where your mother is." Xiao Chun Dan stares at the sky. He doesn't have much time. Fu Sheng is keeping Li Dai Yu busy, but she will notice if he stays here for long. He glances at Huang Wei Yi. "I need your help."

"Who are you?" Huang Wei Yi questions him, confused. 

"This place is inside Li Dai Yu's mind." Xiao Chun Dan talks quickly, "At first, it was only an empty s.p.a.ce. Her magic's core is near completion. Before it is completed, we must find Huang Qiuyan's consciousness."

Huang Qiuyan's consciousness? Huang Wei Yi curves his brows in surprise. Is Li Dai Yu a split consciousness of Huang Qiuyan? 

Xiao Chun Dan nods at him. "Huang Qiuyan is being trapped here somewhere. After the magic core is formed, we might never be able to find her. I can't stay here for long. You and Fu Mian must find her soon. If she's able to absorb the Fae gates' energy pool, the magic core will complete. She will try to leave the world through the realm of the Fae. We can't let that happen. Find Huang Qiuyan and take care of Fu Mian. I might not be able to come back here."

The forest is small right now. If Li Dai Yu absorbs the energy, this s.p.a.ce might become bigger and complex. Li Dai Yu is weak now. She won't think much of it if a child and a ghost are randomly walking in the forest. However, she would be suspicious of Xiao Chun Dan if he wanders the forest.

Also, she asked him to accept the Developers' offer. He didn't accept it. Huang Qiuyan didn't want to accept the Developers' offer. So, he has already cancelled it the moment he was able to return to Huang Qiuyan's body.

Li Dai Yu doesn't have owners.h.i.+p of him. But this might change if Li Dai Yu becomes strong and suppresses Huang Qiuyan until there's nothing left. If that happens, he will be completely controlled. Li Dai Yu might make him approach the developers again.

Fu Mian stares at them, unable to process the words. She has never heard of energy pool or split consciousness? She is confused. Is her mother here or not?

He walks to Fu Mian and gives her a hug. "Be a good girl and don't make trouble for Uncle Huang. He is your mother's twin brother. I am giving you an important job. Find your mother. She's hiding from you. If you find her, you will be able to live a happy life with your mother and father. Can you do it?"

"Yes, Uncle Dan." Fu Mian hugs Xiao Chun Dan back. "I will find her. But I want to live a happy life with my mother, my father, and my uncles including you."

"Even me?" But he's not living creature. Xiao Chun Dan smiles at her. Fu Mian isn't as bad as he thought her to be. Maybe his host could see the good qualities in Fu Mian. "If you manage to do it, I will give you a gift."

Her eyes become big and round with excitement. "Really?"

He has to admit that Fu Mian is as cute as a little white rabbit. Is that why even the vampire king melted for this girl? 

"I promise." He rubs his nose and pats her head awkwardly. "If you manage to find her."

"I will find Mommy." She grins at him. 

"I am leaving then." Xiao Chun Dan wonders if this child will be okay with a ghost. Though there are dangerous plants and trees in this forest, Li Dai Yu won't let them harm this girl because a drop of Fu Mian's blood might erase Li Dai Yu's existence. He gives a glance to Huang Wei Yi smiles at him.

"Uncle Dan, I want a doll." He hears Fu Mian's voice as he begins to leave. "A doll that looks like you."
