She chuckles. "You only want Fu Mian."

He doesn't want to argue with this woman anymore. Fu Sheng closes his eyes and taps into the bond. Though the bond, he feels the vibrations of her life. He reaches the barrier and runs his psychic hands over it. The tear is gone. The barrier is stronger than before. It's not strong enough to become a problem for him.

"If you do that, you won't see them anymore." He hears Li Dai Yu's voice. "The magic only obeys me now. It will wipe out all of our souls. Haven't you seen the energy pools? Just like they can absorb souls, my magic can also absorb souls."

"You!" Fu Sheng grimaces at her with disdain. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because I don't like you," Li Dai Yu tells him with a cold voice. "I don't like Huang Qiuyan. I don't like this bond that has become my cage. I want to become stronger, but I can't become what I want to be. It's because of Huang Qiuyan and you. Both of you are disgusting creatures."

But Huang Qiuyan is also her. Fu Sheng wonders what he has done to receive this wrath. Then, he is again reminded of all the things that he had done.
