I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 47 - I Was Scared

He could feel that Shao Yan was breaking apart. He felt hurt seeing her hurt that much. But he needed to talk to his lawyer as soon as possible, so he let her rest for a while.

Li Xiqing closed the bedroom door and he went to the study room. After a long while, he came out, took his car keys and left the apartment.

During the drive back home just now, Li Xiqing was upset. He was furious. But he didn't want Shao Yan to see this side of him. He tried so hard to control himself, he needed to calm down.

But not because he found out about the past. Li Xiqing didn't believe what that woman said was the truth. Maybe there were some truth mixed in, but looking at how Shao Yan and Qi Ling behaved, Li Xiqing knew better than to trust the woman.

He was angry because she was hurting.

He had been thinking. So what if she was married before. From when Li Xiqing first heard about the rumors about Shao Yan, he knew he wouldn't care. He just wanted Shao Yan to only see him now.

The door bell rang and Qi Ling went up to open it.

Li Xiqing would not use the pincode and his access to enter the apartment if Shao Yan was not around. At the very least, he needed to respect Qi Ling as the other owner as well.

"How's she?" Qi Ling quickly asked Li Xiqing, her tone full of concern. At the same time, she moved to the side to allow Li Xiqing to come in.

Li Xiqing stepped inside, and took off his shoes. "She's upset. She's at my place now. I told her to sleep for a while."

And then he looked at Qi Ling, "Help me pack some of her stuff, like clothes and toiletries. So she can clean up later. Pack her clothes worth for few days."

Qi Ling went silent for a while. She was hesitating. This guy was now ordering her around??

Li Xiqing was already walking to the living room to sit down.

"Li guy", Qi Ling was standing in front of him with her arms crossed. "I know you care about our Yan Yan. But I think it's too soon for her to live with you."

Li Xiqing cut her off, "Miss Qi, sooner or later than you realized, Yan Yan will be staying with me. Start adjusting yourself to that fact that she's not alone anymore."

He slowly said to her, "I'm not dating her for fun. I'm dating her with marriage in mind."

He paused and enunciated everything, "And I've said it before, she's mine. So please stop wasting our time. I want to go home soon, she needs me to be there now."

Qi Ling went silent again. After a while, she was upset, but she still decided to say a piece of her mind, "In that case, you better know this. I don't know how much she had told you about herself. But whatever that crazy woman said earlier is not the whole truth."

Li Xiqing looked up at her, "I know." he paused and the he added "I could see from your protective stance when facing that woman. I know she's bad news."

He was thinking for a while and then he continued, "I have been in touch with my lawyer just now. I was not just scaring that woman. I will definitely let her pay for hurting Yan Yan like this."

Shao Yan didn't know how long she had been crying, her body and her mind felt so exhausted. She fell asleep.

A moment later, Li Xiqing came back to the room, and found her sleeping. He saw the tear streak on her face and the wet area on the pillow, his heart sank. How much had she been crying!

Li Xiqing was so angry, he very much wanted to throw that fake melon woman to h.e.l.l right now. How dare she hurt his most beloved!

He slowly climbed on to the bed and gently hold her from behind possessively.

When Shao Yan woke up, she felt warm pressure on her back and pair of arms hugging her on her waist. Her body reflexively tensed, and gradually she relaxed as she realized it's Li Xiqing.

She tried to move, but he locked her tight. Shao Yan could only helplessly laid there, unmoving.

Li Xiqing knew when she had woken up, but he didn't let her go.

He brought her closer to his chest.

Li Xiqing nuzzled his face to her hair. He buried his face in her fragrance.

"Why did you cry?"

Shao Yan was surprised that he was not asleep.

"If you cried because of him, I'm going to feel really sad." Li Xiqing said in a very small voice, unconsciously, he tightened his hold on her stomach. Buried his face deeper to her neck.

Shao Yan realized, that Li Xiqing probably was feeling insecure.

Shao Yan tears came out again, but this time, she chose to turn around to face him, and squeezed herself in his embrace. Their feet linked with each other.

"I didn't cry because of him. I cried because I was scared."

Shao Yan paused for a while.

"I have never felt so warm before, Li Xiqing, I'm scared that you will not want me anymore."

Her voice was m.u.f.fled because she was hugging him tight. But even though Li Xiqing couldn't hear it clearly, her body language had told him everything he wanted to know.

Li Xiqing peeled her slightly away from him, looked at her face. He wiped her tears and looked into her swollen red eyes.

"I've said it before, why did you forget already?", he whispered, "I will always be with you."

She blinked and her fat tears came out again.

"We will walk on this road together", he wiped her tears again. "Do you remember now?" he cupped her face.

Shao Yan nodded slowly. Her tears slowly came out of the corner of her eye.

"Stop crying now. You look like a panda, you scared me away" But even though Li Xiqing said that, his tone was so gentle. His touch was so soft, and his smile was so captivating.

Li Xiqing used his thumb to caressed her cheek. He slowly showered kisses all over her face. He kissed her tears away.

His kisses were light, just like b.u.t.terfly wings. Shao Yan gradually relaxed.

They were snuggling closely on the bed now. Shao Yan was feeling much better.

She realized that their feet were linked together, and his bulge was pressing on her lower stomach. She felt awkward, she didn't dare to move a bit, but she didn't try to get away.
