I Deserve A Second Chance Chapter 48 - Zombie Is More Interesting!

"Are you hungry?" Li Xiqing was now hugging her. Her cheek was pressed onto his heart, he was still stroking her back.

Shao Yan slowly nodded "En."

"Qi Ling packed some toiletries and clothes for you." he looked down at her, "Go wash up. I put them in the bathroom counter for you."

Shao Yan looked up at him, puzzled.

"You went back to my place just now?" Shao Yan was surprised. She thought Li Xiqing was angry and that's why he left her alone. She thought he left because he needed some time alone.

Li Xiqing looked down at her, and saw her questioning eyes. He sighed and then he flicked her forehead.

"What were you thinking? That I had left you alone because I was upset?" he let her go, and then he sulked. Li Xiqing propped both his arms behind his head, facing the ceiling.

Shao Yan felt guilty, she scooted closer, "I.. I didn't mean it that way." She tried to say more, but she stuttered, "I.. Well.. "

"... You left.. sigh"

"Li Xiqing~" she shook his arm. "I got it. You've explained it earlier."

She didn't know what to say. So she tried to act spoiled at him, "Don't be angry.. en?"

Li Xiqing sighed, and looked at her, "Have some faith in me, alright?"

With one hand still behind his head propping him to the pillow, he used his other hand to caress her face, and then he rubbed her hair, "Don't compare me to the past anymore. Just live in the present, learn to trust me."

Shao Yan gave a relief smile and nodded obediently, "Li Xiqing, give me a little more time" she whispered.

"I promise you now, that I will tell you everything. But I'm nothing what that woman said to be. Trust me on this."

They stared at each other for a while.

Shao Yan took the initiative to kiss him softly. He wanted more but she swiftly got up and walked to the bathroom.

His bathroom was huge!

What was this?! (☉｡☉)!

What he called 'bathroom' was actually a size of the original bathroom plus another portion of a one bedroom!

So this house actually had three bedrooms and he converted to two?!

Big sis, you were surely amazing!

This was every woman's dream bathroom!

One side was the toilet and a double vanity counter from grey and white marbles. Alright, Shao Yan knew this, this was the 'His and Hers' vanity counters, no big deal.

Shao Yan saw a pure white marble soaking tub huge enough to fit three people. The wall next to it was covered in black night stone. When Shao Yan looked closer, it had some subtle glitters like the stars.

The tub was facing a special modified night windows that occupied a whole side of a wall from ceiling to floor and was showcasing city S skyline. The view from floor 23 was unbelievable!

You could soak while enjoying this view. Shao Yan admired his sister more and more!

Next to the side, only separated with a gla.s.s part.i.tion, was shower area. It also had an open concept with waterfall rain shower. When someone actually showered underneath, they could choose to listen to calming music.

And then there was a dimmed stone path leading to a small room.

Shao Yan was curious, and walked over. When she entered, she realized this was the wardrobe area.

She could see Li Xiqing's clothes hung neatly on one side. On the other side was empty, but she saw few of her clothes were now hung up there; including her underwear folded neatly on the side.

Shao Yan looked at this and she couldn't help but blushed.

Li Xiqing was a man of action.

It's only been few weeks! Was he trying to tell her that slowly she had to move in with him?

After Shao Yan showered, she felt much refreshed.

When she walked out of the bedroom, she found him sitting in the living room, waiting for her while watching TV.

"I'm done. You can go have a shower now.", Shao Yan walked closer and sat next to him. Li Xiqing could smell his shampoo and his soap on her. He could feel his body reacted to this.

"I've showered in the common bath just now." he reached his arm around her and hugged her close to himself, "I've ordered dinner, it should be delivered soon."

Shao Yan adjusted to a more comfortable position, leaned in to his chest, and then she said "Okay" then she turned her attention to the TV, "What are you watching?"

Li Xiqing brought his attention back to the TV, "It's a TV series from country C. It's a show about Korean immigrants family who opened a small convenience store in that country. It's funny and entertaining."

Shao Yan accompanied him to watch for a while, before their food finally arrived.

While Li Xiqing went to open the door, Shao Yan helped to set the dining table.

Li Xiqing seemed to be influenced with whatever he was watching, he ended up ordered Korean food for dinner.

After dinner, Shao Yan and Li Xiqing decided to watch something. Shao Yan was a fan of zombie and apocalypse theme, so they decided on a newly released series about zombie attack in country K during ancient kingdom time.

It was a short mini series so they guessed, they should be able to finish the whole series tonight.

His living room was also the media room. One of the sofa that he had was actually a reclining sofa. They watched while also snuggled around.

Li Xiqing was holding her close. They were laying down together while watching and kissing every now and then.

"Stay here tonight." Li Xiqing whispered in her ears.

Shao Yan pondered for a while. "But I've promised Qi Ling to go shopping tomorrow."

She remembered something and swiftly turned to look at him, "Did you have to pay a lot for the penalty fees for Qi Ling?"

Li Xiqing looked at her, "Don't worry about that. You can drive my car tomorrow, or have Qi Ling pick you up." and then he gave a peck on her cheek.

He tightened his hold on her, "Stay here tonight?"

Shao Yan frowned a little.

This guy! Sometimes, he was so flexible with his many topics to talk about. But most of the times, he was so persistent!

Shao Yan didn't answer him, and turned back to the TV to continue her watch. The zombie king was now feasting on a body of a palace maid. This was more interesting!

At the end, Shao Yan did stay the night at Li Xiqing's place.

Li Xiqing was still in the bathroom. Shao Yan flipped open the blanket and climbed on to the bed first. She laid down and was thinking.

'Did Li Xiqing plan to do something later? What should I do? How should we do it? Is it too soon?'

She checked her underwear. Okay, at least she put on matching colors tonight.

Shao Yan was so nervous. It had been few years since she slept with a man. Liwei was her only man. Shao Yan wondered, if Li Xiqing would be disappointed with her lack of experience.

She felt gloomy.
