As the girl began to stir, she quickly sprang up.
She looked around her surroundings. This wasn't her house...?
Better yet, why was she laying in what seemed to be a hotel bed?
"Oh good, you're awake."
The girl looked around frantically.
"Yo, over here."
Luci waved his hand, clicking his tongue.
The girl's eyes widened.
"Y-you're..." She stammered.
"Yeah?" Luci raised an eyebrow.
"Spit it out."
Suddenly tears began trickling down the girl's cheeks and onto the bed sheets.
"Mister..." She whimpered.
"I-is my mama really..."
"Dead?"
The girl opened her mouth, but quickly shut it, keeping her gaze fixed on the floor.
"'M afraid so."
The girl bit her lip.
Luci raised an eyebrow.
"What's the matter?"
He smirked.
"You wanna scream right now, don't ya?"
The girl looked up at him.
"Life's unfair, ain't it?" He grinned.
The girl slowly began forming a fist. Tears streaming down her face.
"Wanna be mad at the woman that suddenly left ya to fend for yourself and her, hm?" He asked with a hint of amus.e.m.e.nt.
The girl began shaking and mumbling under her breath.
"Eh...?" Luci narrowed his eyes.
"Speak up child, I don't wanna miss the good stuff."
"WHY DID YOU GIVE UP!?" The girl shrieked.
"YOU TOLD ME WE HAVE TO BE STRONG FOR EACH OTHER, AND YET..."
She sobbed wildly.
"And yet...?" Luci repeated.
"And yet you..."
"AND YET YOU LET THE SICKNESS TAKE OVER WHEN YOU PROMISED IT WOULDN'T!" She cried.
"LIAR!" She screamed, punching the mattress repeatedly.
She then buried her face into the sheets, letting her screams be absorbed.
She then picked her head up.
"I HATE YOU!" She wailed.
Luci smirked. He couldn't help but laugh.
The girl's eyes widened.
"Humans are so amusing..." He grinned.
"H-humans...?" The girl's eyes widened.
"are you not..."
"Tell me girl," Luci began.
"If you truly believe that your mother wronged you..."
His lips curled into a s.a.d.i.s.tic grin.
"Where do you think her spirit ended up...?"
"Heaven or h.e.l.l?"
