"Mama." Yuki latched on to Luna's legs and clung on for dear life. "What is going to happen and what is a guardian? Why can you and papa not become them?"

Ryan got up and picked Yuki up. "Both you mother and I are from a different color. We are from the fire element. It is rare for a vampire to be born of the earth but you are my little angel and are very special. Claude is a werewolf so he is from the earth beings."

Rex smiled and pulled Claude away from the group. "You are really not in love with her right? I need to be certain that is that case."

"I promise that I only feel family love and I have been with them since before she was born I will do anything to pay back my debt to them. I decided that I would protect Yuki for all of time or at least as long as I lived." Claude looked at the supernatural beside him and nodded his head.

"Then I will allow you to become her guardian. It is not easy to do and she is still young but you will need to give her your essence so that the runes calm down. I would give her mine but she might become unresponsive for a short time." Rex pulled out a box and handed it to Claude. "Use this to cut your skin and feed her the essence that is within your body."

Claude took the box and opened it up. He pulled out the knife and sliced the palm of his hand. "Yuki, come and drink the essence from big brother. I swear that I will protect you."

Yuki hopped out of her father's arms and went to Claude. She licked the essence that was pooling the palm of his hand. She took the knife and sliced his arm and started to drink deeply. She stopped just at Claude's breaking point and laid down.

Claude felt like his body was being torn apart but he kept that to himself. He saw the runes fade from Yuki's body and he sighed. "Will she be okay?"

Rex looked at the kid and was surprised that he was not getting mad about this and was taking this like a champ. "She is going to be great. I know how your body is feeling right now, boy. It is normal for a non-guardian to feel that. If she took your essence when you were a guardian it would feel like a relief. The essence builds up faster for a guardian than a normal being. That knife I gave you is the guardian knife. Use it well." Rex touched Yuki and started chanting.

Claude felt a difference in his body and he stared at Rex who was chanting. The pain inside stopped and he touched his heart. He could feel something was changing. "What are you doing?"

Rex finished the chant and touched the black bond magic string. "Ryan, Luna, and Claude, I have completed the bond for Claude to be her guardian. Claude you should stop feeling pain and feel like you are going to be bursting with essence when she needs it. Otherwise you will not feel anything from her unless she is in danger or thristy."

"Thank you, Rex. I knew that we could count on you. I know that it is not something that you like to do as it is not fair but Calude was more than willing. He is someone that we can entrust our daughter to with no issues." Ryan patted Rex and upon the shoulder.

Luna walked to Claude and patted his head. "I am sorry that you had to make this choice in a split moment. You are now immortal and nothing will kill you. It is a curse to live forever but this is the best that we could do to protect our baby girl. Thank you for becoming her guardian."

"No, it is my honour. I am her big brother and n.o.body can protect her better than me right now. I know that one day she will find a partner that will match up to her but that is not the case right now. I will take care of her for as long as I am allowed. I will help her when it comes to finding the right match and if you want I will test him to be certain." Claude bowed and smiled.

"Thank you for being such an amazing son, Claude. I knew that you would do everything in your power to protect her. We have not set our eyes on anyone yet but when we do we will let you know. Both of you had a rough day." Luna bent down and picked up Yuki and took her to the bed. "I will look after her throughout the day. You three go ahead and talk more." She climbed into the bed and cuddled Yuki. "My baby girl is going to be so blessed." With that Luna kisses Yuki's forehead.
