Meeting Again 40 Face Off

I was in such a rush that I totally forgot that I was still in the Kitchen surrounded by several curious eyes. I was about to call Robbie when I felt a hand over my shoulder. My mind was so engulfed with the whole idea of not letting the rumour spread, that I didn't feel the touch, until the cellphone was s.n.a.t.c.hed from me,

"Just who-" I started fiercely turning around

It was Tanya. She crossed her hand before her face, closing her eyes. Seeing her, made my panicked state, relax. I felt apologetic to have reacted so fiercely.

"Am so sorry Tanya. Did I hurt you?" I said feeling sincerely sorry. How could my mind be so clouded to have actually almost shouted at my friend

Tanya looked up at me and breathed out. She smiled and shook her head, "You would never change. Once you are anxious or panicking, you totally forget the surrounding!" she said eyeing me meaningfully

I got her point a little slow as my mind was still engrossed in other thoughts. I quickly looked around. I wanted to slap myself. How stupid of me to try to call Robbie when almost all the staff of the kitchen were around.

"Thank you so much, Tanya!" I whispered throwing my arms around her.

"Be quick" she whispered back with a pat on my back.

I unwrapped my arms, got out of the staff exit and went straight to the parking area to call Robbie. I looked at the contact huffing. I was still thinking should I or should I not. If it was just me, I would have handled it. But it had already brought Twen in it. The news of Twen being born from a male Omega is not a big deal but the fact that the one who impregnated me was Robbie was definitely a huge matter. If it gets out in the media, my Twen would not have a day of peace. There was not much thinking to do, so I simply closed my eyes and press on the dial. But then, suddenly the phone was not in my hand.

I looked up to see that it was in the hand of a very beautiful lady. Her long curly dark locks falling gracefully over her face. I recognised her immediately. It was Robbie's so-called-fiancee. She disconnected my call to him and gave me a sharp as razor gaze.

"Miss, please return my cellphone" I said in my best imitation of neutral voice

"Tony Hawker" she said my name with strange emphasis, "Who are you in such a hurry to call?" she asked with a smirk

I was taken aback. How did she know my name? Did Robbie told her? But right now, I didn't care from which source she knew my name, I needed to make an urgent call.

"My CEO. I have a request to make" I said truthfully

"Oh! Your CEO happens to be my fiance and seeing as you are just some lowly staff, I feel surprised that you have his direct contact!" she sneered

True, staffs normally don't have the authority to possess the direct contact number of someone so high up in position. But that's when things are normal. By some odd twist of fate, I and Robbie are connected.

"Miss, it was just by some luck that I have it" I lied

"Luck? Or by aquaintance?" she said, now looking at me with narrowed eyes

Was it just me or was her words implying something else?

"Forgive me, Miss. But it's urgent. Can I please have my phone back?" I said forwarding my palm to her

"And what if I refuse?" she said, now staring at me with blatant hatred

What was going on? I am not even familiar with her. Why was she so displeased with me? Does she know my connection with Robbie? But how? Did Robbie say it? I was feeling very confused

"What do you want, miss?" I asked

"I want you, Mr. Tony Hawker, to leave my fiance alone!" she said slowly putting great emphasis on each word and coming face to face with me, "Or the media will have a field day if the news of your son being the son of the only heir of Exquisite Hotel and Resorts Pvt ltd is leaked out" she said grinning evilly at me

I blinked in utter shock and disbelief. In a matter of seconds all the missing pieces fell in place. Robbie told me that someone with powerful background have been spreading this news and it was someone who also holds some grudge against me! It never occured to me that the one who I got upset could be his fiancee. So, she was behind all this rumours!!

"It-it was you? You have grudge against me then attack me! Why are you involving my son?" I seethed in fury

"Just like you are using your son to make my fiance chase after you, I too am using your son to get you h.e.l.l out of his life" she spat the words on my face

"You have definitely gotten the wrong notion-" I was started saying shaking my head when

A strong force hit my left cheek. It was so sudden that my ears started ringing and my eyes started watering. I placed my hand over my cheek feeling the stinging pain. I heard her blathering in rage, so loud that her voice was reverberating in the closed car parking.

"You ugly shameless filthy little a.s.shole! How dare you try to come in between me and Robbie! You think just because you had his son, you can manipulate him?"

I looked at her, with my hand still on my cheek. I saw her pretty face twisted in pain and anger. Her beautiful brown eyes were swimming in tears! She was breathing hard looking at me with bare hatred and digust.

"How dare you? How dare you?" she babbled stomping up at me pulling me by the collar of my chef coat, "I had loved him all my life! What didn't I do to get him to look at me, to fall for me, but he rejected me for a digusting wh.o.r.e like you. What's so great about you? Whats so special? Why could you have his love?" she spat

I didn't know what to respond. I can understand her pain and sorrow. I know it hurts when you cherish someone so dearly and they don't value it. I know how it feels when you want desperately to be accepted but are rejected. I know it all, but to let the feelings of pain to blind you so completely, I am seeing it for the first time.

"Miss Sarah! I understand where your coming from, but my son has nothing to do with-"

"Shut it! Just shut it" she said pus.h.i.+ng me away and letting go of my collar. I staggered back from the force. I looked at her who was breathing heavily as she continued yelling "What would you know? Not like he had rejected you. Seducing him, bonding with him and even getting his son. Playing such sick dirty tricks to have a hold on him, you omegas are the sc.u.m of this Earth. How low could you stoop to even sell your son to garner his-"
