The Guilt Of Chrysanthemum 10 Rings And Bells

"M-milady. Your brother is calling for you." Breath said with a worry on her face.

"What is it about?" I said and went out of my room.

Why does Breath looked like she'd seen a ghost? Did she told Anahaw about my plan? I doubt that she'll do that though and she knows that i've changed my heart already, I think.

The guards opened the door and I saw Anahaw sitting on his chair.

"Why did you call for me, brother?" I asked. He told me to sit down and we'll talk.

He sighed. "I can hear everything in my sleep you know." he said.

Oh dear.

"O-oh is that so." I replied, my eyes quickly changed its sight. He smirked a bit, he really knows me well.

"I heard about your plan." he said. My heart is beating loudly. Should I just knock his head with the vase on the table? But that'll be so evidently me. Should I-- oh c'mon Chrysanthemum, now you're being weak. Will he put me to jail? But i'm his sister! No.. no way he'll do that... right?

"I'm sorry." I said and looked down. "I know that it's not a good idea but you do not listen to me when I suggest something. I think that if i've become the first queen of this palace that'll make stereotypes of other kingdoms be diminished. Women can lead and they will be treated fairly." I added.

"I also would like to apologize." Anahaw said and I looked at him. "I've been neglecting your suggestions because when I first stated that to other upper members of the palace, they laughed at me and thought that I was just kidding. They think that it would make our kingdom weak and all. I am a coward. I'm sorry." Anahaw stated and he held my hand.

"I can see that you have the courage and strength to lead our kingdom. I want you to sit on the throne." Anahaw said and I was very surprised.

What?! He just gave away his throne that easily?! W-why?!

"B-but! Don't you want to be the king?" I asked. He smiled at me and chuckled.

"I know it's a sudden decision and all but they don't need a weak king like me. This palace has been built with pride and integrity. Besides, it would make me have more time with Paula." he said.

"I'd love to be the queen with you, my brother, by my side. With Esmeraldo, Guidon, Breath, Paula, and Magnus." I said and we hugged each other.

"Don't worry Chrysanthemum, we'll be here to support you always." he said and patted my back. "My reign would end after 30 days." he added and I nodded as we let go of each other's hug. We sat down again and I can feel ease in my heart. No worries just full of happiness.

"By the way, how did you know that Paula is the one that I love? I don't remember telling you guys that at all." Anahaw asked.

I smiled. "Maybe it was fate. Paula went here in the palace because she found out about your illness. I told her that it has something to do with true love and a kiss. She volunteered to try and fortunately as it is your third day, it worked." I said.

"I'll make sure that after the effectivity of my resignation, i'll spend the time with her." he said. "Oh right. Are you and Magnus a thing?" he asked and I was surprised.

"H-ha? I-i don't know... yet." I replied and felt that I blushed a bit.

"Try to open up your heart more, it will be worth it to try. Don't do the same thing that I did, it was just fate and luck that I was able to finally have Paula with me again, I don't know what might've happened if she didn't come." he said.

After with the heart-to-heart talk with my brother, I thanked him and he thanked me as well. I felt much more better, free and enthusiastic. Who would know that it would come to this? That i'll diminish my plan all along and Anahaw would give me the throne.

"Hi, your majesty." Magnus said. I think I should really open up my heart more as my brother said.

I smiled at him. "Magnus. I would like to thank you. Thank you for helping my brother and for being by my side." I said and held his hand.

His lips turned into a smile. "Thank you too." he said.

"What for?" I asked.

"Everytime I see you, it lifts me up. It gives me strength and happiness. You are a very strong lady and it gives me more encouragement to be a better man. Everytime I see that smile of yours, it makes my heart beat. I like you so much more than I think." he confessed and I feel that my heart beat is racing.
