The Guilt Of Chrysanthemum 9 Secret Unlocked

I was about to go to my brother's room when I heard two guys talking to each other and they sound like they're fighting. I peeked a little and saw Esmeraldo and Guidon. Esmeraldo's hands are holding Guidon's and he looks like he's pleading.

"We won't know if we don't try!" Esmeraldo said and Guidon's pale face is turning pink.

"S-stop! Let me think about it first." Guidon said and looked down.

Esmeraldo's face turned sad. What is that they're fighting about? Is Guidon my brother's love interest? Does Esmeraldo wants Guidon to try and kiss Anahaw?

I turned to their place and they were both surprised. Guidon threw off Esmeraldo's hands.

"Are you my brother's lover?" I asked Guidon. Their surprised faces turned int confused one.

Esmeraldo stratched the back of his head. "Ahh.. You got it all wrong, Chrys. It's not like that, you see uhh..." He said stuttering. I looked at Guidon and he can't look at me in the eyes.

I felt someone poking my arm behind me and it was Breath.

"Come here, milady." she said and turned around. I can sense that she knows what Esmerald and Guidon is talking about.

She peeked at Esmeraldo and Guidon then back to me.

"Well your majesty, I think Esmeraldo and Guidon are in a relations.h.i.+p." Breath whispered. Oh...

"But don't you like Esmeraldo?" I asked.

"No your majesty! I told you it's not like that. When I asked you about Esmeraldo is the day I found out about it. I saw Esmeraldo and Guidon kissi--"

"Hey, stop gossiping about us infront of us. Okay, we'll confess." Esmeraldo said.

Esmeraldo told us that they have been in a relations.h.i.+p for a while now but they still don't want to tell us because of the chaotic things that has been happening in the palace. Also, Esmeraldo wants to tell us already but Guidon is still hesitating. I asked Guidon to verify if what Esmeraldo said is true and he nodded.

"You have my blessing!" I cheerfully said and we all smiled but then my expression turned sad. "I thought you are my brother's lover. I'm sorry. I thought you are the one that can make my brother well. It is his last day and I can't think of anyone anymore." I added.

Their smiling faces also turned sad. I saw Magnus coming towards us.

"What are you guys talking about?" He asked. I asked for the permission of Esmeraldo and Guidon to say it first then I told Magnus and he seem to be happy about it.

I went to the garden to refreshen my aching head. I smelled the sweet fragrance of roses and flowers.

I closed my eyes and sniffed the red one. When I opened my eyes, I saw Magnus holding one.

"Milady." he said and gave it to me.

I smiled and get it. He held my hand and I was surprised when he grabbed it to pull me in an embrace.

"Magnus!" I shouted but he did not let go.

"Shh.."

Tears suddenly flowed from my eyes and I started crying inside Magnus' embrace. He caressed my back and held me tight. I finally realized that i'm afraid. I'm afraid of my brother dying. I don't want him to die. I'm afraid that there won't be Anahaw anymore and I will be all alone.

We stood there for about an hour. Gladly, the both of us are the only ones in the garden.

After finally able to fix myself, I thanked Magnus and we went back to the palace. But before stepping inside, I saw Guidon talking to his sister Paula.

"Paula!" I said. She instantly smiled when she saw me. I went to them and they bowed.

"Milady!" she said. "I heard that the king is unwell. I brought some medicinal herbs from our house but Guidon told me that it has something to do with magic. Is that true?" Paula asked.

"Yeah. Louie told us that he needs to be kissed by his true love to be able to wake up in three days. It is his third day today and we still can't find the person whom Anahaw loves." I said.

Paula's hands suddenly held mine. "Y-your majesty. With all due respect and all, but can I try?" she asked and we hurried to Anahaw's room.

Paula sat down on the bed beside Anahaw.

"I'll never forget the time when you saved me from the thieves. I fell in love at the sight of a gentleman reaching for my hand and pulling me to stand up again. You said that you will come back for me but when you got to sit on the throne, you never did. Now, I hope that I could save you too." Paula said those words and kissed Anahaw.

After a minute, Anahaw's hand reached for Paula's and we were all surprised. We were all glad and finally at ease that Anahaw finally opened his eyes.

"I-i'm sorry." Anahaw muttered. Paula cried.

"Anahaw!" Esmeraldo said and ran to the bed.

I jumped to Anahaw to give him a hug and he coughed. We laughed. We ate a lot that night and celebrated not just because of Anahaw but for Paula, Esmeraldo and Guidon as well.
