The Guilt Of Chrysanthemum 8 Finding The Soulmate

"What should we do then?" I asked. Esmeraldo, Guidon and Magnus went silent.

"Maybe we need to find someonewho is close to the king and try." Breath suggested. What? Make every person close to my brother kiss him?

"Who might it be?" Magnus asked. We all looked down, thinking of someone close to Anahaw that he might be interested on. "Let me try it then." Esmeraldo presented with blank expression. Breath was surprised and looked at me, I shrugged.

I don't know if he is serious or joking.

It was the moment of truth when Esmeraldo pecked the lips of my brother. After a minute, we all sighed out of disappointment because nothing happened. We brought maids that is always cleaning and a.s.sisting Anahaw. They tried but same as with Esmeraldo, none of them worked. Maybe Louie is just fooling with us.

"It isn't working." I said. They all looked at me. "What?"

"You try." Esmeraldo said.

"What?! No way!" I protested but they seem to be really intrigued about me trying. The h.e.l.l i'm going to kiss my brother! Darn this people! I glared at them but it doesn't seem to be working.

"You are the only blood related person in the palace left, maybe it's not a romantic kiss that is needed." Esmeraldo said.

"Okay, okay fine!" I said and immediately pecked my brother's lips. I wiped my lips and after a while, nothing happened. We all sighed again.

The others went out of Anahaw's room to find and search. Me and Breath are the ones left inside.

"Your majesty, I would like to ask something." Breath said and we both sat down.

"What is it?"

"Why are you helping your brother even though you're planning to kill him eventually?" Breath asked. I looked at Breath and couldn't say anything. That's right, why am I feeling worried and not joy? Do I really want to kill Anahaw? What about my plan?

"I-I don't know. I'm feeling concerned about the condition of my brother." I replied and glanced at Anahaw. "But, I still want to continue what I have planned for every woman in this kingdom." I added and someone opened the door.

We saw Magnus holding a tray with food on it. "Hi ladies. Eat up." he said and put it infront of us. I remembered that I still haven't eaten anything.

Breath took a bite on the potato. "Aren't you going to help in searching?" she asked.

"Esmeraldo told me that Chrysanthemum hasn't eaten anything yet so I went to the kitchen and prepared some food." Magnus said. I saw Breath grinning beside me and I felt a rise on my temperature.

"Thank you, Magnus." I said and smiled. He smiled back and it felt warm.

"You know how to cook?" Breath asked. I was instantly curious about the question.

Magnus nodded. "Yes, I can cook a bit. Is it good?" he said and looked at me.

"Y-yeah.. I guess." I replied.
